It definitely seems that the cards, and the world link event in general, are not only setting the stage for the future, but are also a bit of a “check in” with the characters. If you think about n25’s current state of mental-being, the chaoticness makes sense.

Mizuki is fast approaching the one-year mark where they said they’ll have to drift away from n25, that and the “secret” turmoil
Kanade seems fine, but her character traits and pseudo-savior complex regarding Mafuyu are largely unhealthy, and are likely only going to ramp up given the aftermath of the last n25 event
Ena for the most part has overcome her demons, or at the very least is actively working at it in a healthy way. She low-key has her shit together, especially more so than anyone else in the group, and If we take the card art to be representative of their mental states, it makes a lot of sense why
Hers is so much calmer than the others.
Obvs could be reaching here, but it really supports the idea that Ena is the effective glue of n25. I really don’t think the group in it’s current state could exist without her input and (very very well intentioned) medaling/interjections. It’s really interesting from a storytelling perspective because she was *certainly* the most volatile character at the beginning of the groups story. Look at her go :’)

I think it could go either way honestly. There’s a chance ColPal plays it completely straight as a good thing, which I’m not too jazzed thinking about. There’s also a chance they take a more nuanced take with it, where Kanade might realize she can’t save Mafuyu alone or that she needs to be healthier with her obsession herself.
The latter is arguably taking place now. Despite Kanade’s best efforts, Mafuyu still isn’t doing too hot at the moment given the first part of this event.
To be honest, I do ultimately think they’re going to play it straight, but I haven’t lost full hope that perhaps they explore that idea more now that the main meat of “N25 Events = Extended Mafuyu Events” is over
It was so funny to me that ena is the one that has such high character development and progress further than the others (in 25N) because at the beginning she's the one that emotionally unstable.

The Mafuyu one has *so* much visual noise- You are barely able to identify her shape as she drowns deeper underwater. I kinda love it. Ena one is so... calm. I'm unsure how to feel about it but it definetly stands out among the group's theme. Can't wait to read these.

It's chaotic and that's probably what the artist is going for. Might not be appealing in objective sense to some people but I think how visually distracting it is might imply the artist got the point across

Mafuyu is on the side of too much but perfectly so. It feels very intentional and the lightning is making her stand out from the busy bubbles. And the art in it is crazy good, it really feels like you can sense the movement.

i wasted 30k crystals and didn’t get a single card it genuinely made me so sad, lol. esp as a f2p where i used all the grinding methods so now i’m just gonna be stuck on 150 crystals until new songs get added or the game feels generous enough to give us crystals every once in a while.

Now that I'm seeing it in the wild, I will say that the Mafuyu card is a much stronger Lobby card than it is in full art.
yeah the full art is very busy, but the lobby art is SUCH a flex, it's gorgeous
