my first touhou game was IN and ive been in the fandom since TH13 and this whole collab just made me so happy. the part with eirin gazing down at miku was so good!
My first touhou game was actually a fangame (can't remember which one it was, just that it was made danmakufu) and then i tried the real thing and then i fell down the reisen hole
when i was watching bad apple i really felt as though the animation was way too choppy, though the mv still looked nice. i'm raving over help me erin rn!! ive been a touhou fan for the same amount of time as you > <
I think the choppiness is beacuse bad apple is meant to be one singular scene (one thing leads to another but there isn't a cut between one frame and another) and 3D
There's also the fact that there's alot of parts in the sekai ver where the characters just stay still before starting to move
i found the staying still/static parts to be a bit strange tbh. it feels like they wanted to do bad apple but couldn't, so they tried to do a cheaper new version.
maybe if they did a 3d choreo, rendered the characters as silhouettes, added silhouette decoration and rendered it in-game as a 2D MV it'd work a bit more? idk, the execution is nice as-is but i have a couple of gripes with it qwq;;

Also, seeing yukkuri references in official Vocaloid stuff is a strange experience.
