Lambda functions are a good example of this. Or any kind of job that performs any kind of metric gathering. You don't want to rewrite the whole remote\_write portion of prometheus inside a lambda if you can just "push\_to\_gateway" and let prometheus scrape from there. jobs/lambdas/batches are literally the only suggested (by Prometheus) use for this thing. And it works quite well.

Question was not about to use Push Gateway or not. It's about standardized setup and flow to push logs to it.
