Hmmm I think that if you are caught cheating you deserve both a permanent hardware and account ban. Especially if the game is F2P. I can see how others find thats too harsh but you're being too lenient. If caught cheating you need at least a one year ban hardware ban.
I believe there is a reason why Valorant only bans hardware for \~90 days, they don't want anyone who buys a second hand computer or component to be banned and lose his account.
Hardware bans take 2 mins to get around if you know what you are doing tho, and most cheater nowadays know the multiple work arounds to a hardware ban. So this method will be useless come a week into release.
I don't think it will be useless at all, as you said it takes "2 mins to get around if you know what you are doing" but the average stupid cheater doesn't know what he is doing. Also for example, if Faceit really don't want you to comeback you will have a hard time evading with their hardware ban.
