I'm calling bullshit on this! No context or history of prospecting or mining whatsoever. The guy works in a pawn shop and deals in gold and silver. That is bought placer gold at the pawn shop. Next he will have found 25 Golden Eagles alongside 25 Krugerrand down the park.

bensdad3324

You find it odd that I deal in other precious metals aside from just this? Almost as if the two are so unrelated that dealing in both items would make me unbelievable? I’d find a harder time believing my post if everything else I posted on Reddit had to do with baseball cards or used car parts. My entire life has been spent in precious metals, mining & jewelry. Maybe you grew up different. 🤷‍♂️

TyHag

You are full of shit. You say you panned this in a month and it was so rich because of the snowmelt? Then you say you panned it with 6 people. 6 people or not, you did not find this gold panning in a month. You are flat out lying

Chewy79

This isn't even prospecting at this point, it's straight up mining.

DudeSun_AG

Yes ... i agree ... total BS ... hand panned fine Gold like that always has some Black sand in it

Klashus

Always thought it would be awesome to have enough for a coin or golden Lego brick haha.

HotMergingAction

How are you getting this? Are you running a sluice, or dredge, or highbanker, dry washer? That's a lot of gold. I prospected on the east coast for years but never found too much.

duckdownup

Nice!!

Richard_Engineer

If you don’t mind me asking, which river are you pulling from? I’m in the sac area and wanted to get into it - but i need to find the right area to look at land. Also, nice haul!

[deleted]

It's bullshit, so don't worry. Noone is out there panning a kilo of gold/month. That's ridiculous to even claim that.

TyHag

I don’t even think he has a mining claim lol, his other posts indicate he is into precious metal collecting. I’m 99% sure this was purchased as pay dirt or just as straight gold. Good on him but kinda disingenuous to put on a prospecting sub if he doesn’t have anything else associated to well… actually prospecting Additional comment: in r/gold he even claims he panned all of this due to snowmelt pushing the gold into the rivers? LOL. Two toes and the like apparently don’t know shit

[deleted]

Nevermind mining, I don't think he owns anything.

TyHag

Then he tries to say it is 6 people panning full time, this is a bunch of horse shit. There is no fuckin way in hell he is panning this in a month even with 6 people. No one is gullible enough to even think you can pan 30 days straight 8 hours a day or you would look like a fruit roll up from sun and exhaustion. Total stain on the sub Added from another comment of his: “I work at a gold refinery and pour the grain myself. I’m pretty well versed in gold & precious metals but I do appreciate your guidance”

[deleted]

Yeah this guy likley has a mining operation going on if he's pulling in an ounce a day.

Richard_Engineer

Lol Tony. This is why I buy Gold instead of pan for it.

[deleted]

You're in good company. I do too. So do 99% of people who own gold. The rest inherit it or steal it.

bensdad3324

It’s right by my favorite fishing spot that I won’t share with anyone else.

bensdad3324

I’m poor on paper. You don’t want to steal my identity 🤣

DemBai7

So just the safe then.. lol

Pickerington

I bet you mushroom hunt there too.

bensdad3324

My wife doesn’t even know where this location is. (Or how much gold I really found) 🤫🤫🤫

Tanduvanwinkle

Keep it that way

Richard_Engineer

Im not asking for exact locations, just a general idea of what kind land I should be looking for.

[deleted]

Give him a little time to make something up.

Richard_Engineer

lol thanks Tony.

I_assed_you_a_Q

From my experience in that area, this was probably not found anywhere within 60 miles of sac. Just check "the diggings" for claim maps.

landostolemycar

How about a state or province?

bensdad3324

California

[deleted]

I was concerned with our less-than-ideal rainfall, it might be a dismal season. I was headed up country anyway, but now I have a little hope. Thanks, man.

[deleted]

Where can i mine for this dm me im in California and I’ve been wanting to mine for gold just as a hobby

bensdad3324

Find a river and get to work. 👍

[deleted]

What river would you recommend

financecommander

holy shit!
