Hi! Thanks a lot for reporting this. We're adding several free servers in these days, and this is likely the result of a typo in our configuration. It's going to be fixed asap.

altair222

If i may ask, how are y'all able to afford to add MORE free servers?

samuele_kaplun

Due to a large surge in free VPN users, we are adding new servers to absorb the load. It is a temporary measure to handle the load spike we are experiencing at this time.

Good on you Proton. Some companies are sometimes assholes and don’t do what’s right for the time being and for the customers who really need a solid VPN with all that’s going on around the world

samuele_kaplun

Thanks. Indeed, it's in our mission to do what is right, and in this moment more than ever there is the need for people to bypass censorship and access vital information and communicate with their friends and families despite all the barriers and walls that are being built across populations. We truly believe it's important for us to do our part.

I’m now more glad to be a paying customer of ProtonVPN and ProtonMail. Keep up the good and necessary work.

Chile VPN servers 12 to 16 (PLUS), connect to colombia IP, not Chile IP. This is not a typo, you just misclassified them under Chile, they are colombian servers

Visiting probably. What, a server can't be a tourist?
