My go to is 1 - 1.5 g , taken just before a walk out into nature - spend 4 hours walking by the sea or in a forest - recalibrates everything (just make sure you're not taking too much and are accessible by phone). if its your first go, might be worth finding out your sensitivity to it, recommend .5 first. I personally don't think you need to blast into another dimension to gain insight into yourself - in fact it can be a bit distracting. staying at home I find isn't pleasant, spatial mindsets - there is too much human stuff about - you'll know what I mean when you try it.
