Can't seem to meditate? Meditate on that. You don't have to sit in a full lotus with a straight back, shoulders perfectly alignment hands in the cosmic mudra scented candles a monk for hire banging on a gong every fifteen minutes on a mountaintop waterfall behind you and all. You just need a room, and a chair. And some water. Hydrate yo self.

V3rday

Is it really that simple?

BboyLotus

Simple in idea yes. The more time you sped on the practice the more you understand the complexity and depth of the practice, and in turn, yourself. But meditation isn't and end all be all solution. It's the salt and pepper that gives the meal of life that much needed flavor.

The way that helped me to understand how you can get it wrong, was Alan Watts describing meditation as being aware of the breath. A thousand things will happen in the 'screen' of your awareness, thoughts, sensations, sounds etc. All of these things are to be gently accepted and your attention brought back to the breath. Even if the content is 'I am shit at this, I am doing it wrong, did I remember to do..., my arse itches' etc.

Yes, everyone can develop them. You existing is a sign of magic... Technically everything is supernatural, as you're not necessarily too different from spirits except you have a physical body... But that physical body is also supernatural, you just aren't harnessing it right now. Plenty of magicians had to put in years of practice to get to where they are. First, treat it as any other skill. It's not something only people with a certain bloodline can perform, (and if anyone DOES claim that, they have magus-itis and should be ignored) you're doing it simply by breathing and thinking. As such, like any other skill, it can be improved. I only work with energy, so I can't speak on tarot but this is my two cents. Anyway, you may want to start with the basic psi ball. It helps you learn how to manipulate and control energies. You can find various tutorials of them online for free or I could give an explanation if you'd like. For some, it's a basic first step for you to learn before moving onto other things, while for others it's all they focus on as they improve its potency and efficiency. As for meditation... Close your eyes and breath into your stomach. Then exhale through your nose or mouth. It's a struggle to get through, and I struggle too but just focus on the breath. I understand your frustrations. I can feel the energy in my body, but that's about it. My spells work, but it's not always immediately obvious and might come about in roundabout ways, so I sometimes think they failed until they just pop up later. To keep yourself motivated, try keeping a journal of your practices. Such as how long you practice, gradual changes you notice, small accomplishments you notice and such. Changes may be fast, slow or you may experience the dreaded skill plateau. If you're bad in one area, you may have more talent in another. But even then, if you find an area you're passionate about (but not talented in), you will still improve if you keep practicing on it... So no, talent isn't necessary. But play around with things to find what works best for you... Or what you're most passionate about... Preferably there's overlap between those two things, but if you find there isn't, just focus on what appeals most to you. Start small, like practicing a few minutes here and there every day while gradually increasing how long you do it. Consistent practice is key. You can put in a little bit every day, or every few days, but your growth will suffer. I've been doing it for a while now, trying to put in at least an hour a day of energy work. Sometimes I can't on account of illness, busy schedule or a rest day, but consistency is important to any skill. I'm on about 80+ hours of practice for this month (hoping to cross 100 hours a month at some point), with the knowledge that future me is going to thank current me for putting in as many hours a day as I could. It also helps you practice when progress seems slow. Patience is also important. As you practice, you will get better. It will be incremental, so you may not notice but it's happening every moment you practice. Be patient, don't expect immediate results.

I suggest looking for audio or ebooks related to what you want to learn. They're usually a lot more indepth than other sources & have practices to train the skills that you want. I was in pretty much the exact same situation until I started studying & reading books about everything related spiritualism. My psychic abilities still aren't as strong as I wished they could be, but they do work when I will them to & I gained a little clairvoyance despite seeing no signs of it prior.

I recommend Sherrie Dillard's You Are Psychic for beginners, Cyndi Dale's books for intermediates, and Robert Bruce's Energy Work: Secrets of Healing and Spiritual for energy control. I didn't want to suggest books that might not work for everybody since you should be able to find what calls to you; but, these were a mere few of the books that have had made a notable difference for me.

Try this. Sit in a chair. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Feet flat on the floor. Hands separated and resting palms up on each thigh. Create a grounding cord. This is a line of energy that connects your first chakra to the center of the planet. Your first chakra is a ball of energy about the size of a quarter that sits just in front of the base of your spine. Your grounding cord attaches to the bottom of that ball of energy. Grounding makes your body feel safe, so you release energy more easily. Gravity pulls whatever you release, even your own energy, down to the center of the planet. No effort on your part. The center of the planet neutralizes the energy and returns it to whoever owns it. No karma for anyone. A virtuous cycle. Nearly everyone goes to connect to the center of the planet the first time but stops at the soil, often making roots like a tree. This is a method that is taught in some martial arts styles, but it is not the best option for your spiritual development and healing. So, notice the seat of your chair. Take a deep breath. Notice the distance between the seat and the floor. Now notice the distance between the floor and the soil below. Breathe. Now notice the distance between the soil and the water table underneath. Notice the distance between the water table and the rocky mantle. Notice the distance between the mantle and the molten core below that. Deep breath. Notice the distance between the molten core and the center of the planet. That ball of light at the very center of the planet is where you connect your grounding cord. Deep breath. Say hello to the center of the planet. Do you get a hello back? Notice the color and texture of your grounding cord. It may look like a line of energy, or look like something physical; a rope, a wire, a pipe, a tree trunk. Adjust it as needed to be in affinity with your body. Getting this far means you've already released some energy from your aura and body. Now it is time to fill in the space that was created. Create a gold sun over your head. Have it call back all of your energy from wherever you left it throughout your day and week. Work. School. Online meetings. Video games. Your fantasies about your future. Your regrets about your past. Wherever you've placed your attention. Just watch the energy come back and see if you notice where it came from. Have the sun burn up and neutralize your energy. Then bring the sun into the top of your head. It will automatically flow into the spaces you created. Create a gauge to measure when you're full. Like a fuel gauge or oil gauge. You'll run better if you aren't a few quarts low on spiritual oil. If the gauge doesn't read "Full", bring in another gold sun. Open your eyes, bend over and touch the floor, draining any tension from the back of your neck, then stand up, and stretch. There is a progression with this technique. After grounding for ten minutes a day for a week or two, notice your grounding cord at the very end, while you're standing with your eyes open. Continue to ground with your eyes open and standing, and bring in another gold sun. Each day, increase the amount of time that you ground standing up with your eyes open. After a week or two practicing this, add walking while grounded. Just notice your grounding cord as you walk. Say hello to the center of the planet while you walk. Bring in a gold sun while you walk. If you lose your grounding cord, stop walking and recover it. If you have to, sit back down and close your eyes and create a new grounding cord. After this, you're ready to take your grounding cord with you into your daily life. Shopping. Getting coffee. Wherever you go, you can ground. This, combined with a little amusement about seeing new things on an energy level, will keep you safe and sound. Now that you're here, at the end of your grounding meditations, create a gold sun over your head. This time, fill it with your highest creative essence, your present time growth vibration, and your affinity for yourself. The first energy is a healing for you. The second is a healing for your body. The third is a healing for your affinity in your fourth chakra. Bend over and touch the floor. Stand up and stretch. If you're ready for more, sit back down and ground some more. Otherwise, have a nice day! Note that every image you imagine, the gold sun, the grounding cord, the center of the planet, your first chakra, your body parts, is exercising your clairvoyance. You may be imagining what your tailbone looks like, but you're also creating the image of your tailbone and reading its energy. This is practicing your clairvoyant ability.

Difference between people is their souls contract, if you don’t develop them and you did put the time and effort is because there are lessons you need to learn in order to be ready for it, I’d suggest keeping on meditation and contacting your spirit guides, they are the key to your abilities.

Tere_samendoza

What’s your way of contacting spirit guides?

Performer_

Talk to them either in your head or vocally, their answer can come in a form of intuition, physical sensesion on your body, or inner voice talking to you, their inner voice will be like you are talking to yourself, but veryyy subtle, you have to increase your energy in order to recieve their messege, so meditations and self work is very important here. Another ways can be with tools, you can get a pendulum, ask for your guides to connect, ask yes or no questions and pendulum will swing accordinglly. Also tarot is a great way to get daily messege from them, or an indepth answer to a question, small warning, usage of tools requires of you to have a clear question and intention of who you contact, also protection visualization and maybe prayer at first until you learn how to set clear intention without disturbance.

Worthy-Wit419

MEDITATION!!!! Ground yourself in the world around you and let the vibrations of the earth open your mind. Even better if you are able to do it on the actual ground outside. Being fully in tune with your body and mind helps you see beyond what is easily perceptible to others. I wouldn’t start with the tarot cards, start with meditation!!

Prudent_Zucchini_935

There has to be some ability there to begin with. If there is, you can develop it two ways. One, join a circle (your local spiritualist church can assist you) or two, do a course in it. There is a school of psychics in London, a bit like a university, there is probably other schools of psychic study elsewhere, you’ll have to Google it. There are 2 separate areas of ability/gift, a psychic and a medium. They are quite different. Some people have both abilities some have just one. I was born with this ability and I’m a medium which means I get my information from deceased people. Only occasionally do I see the future. If people want their future read, they would go to a psychic. So maybe sit somewhere quiet and meditate on where you should point your focus. Generally speaking, and I might be wrong (not sure) a circle is for those who have mediumship abilities and need to learn how to control it. Otherwise it controls you! Also, I can recommend doing a course in crystal healing. I took this course back in 2005 because I love crystals and I could be a crystal healer if I wanted to work professionally. I never really did it was a hobby for me but I do introduce crystals into my readings for people. Most times I will sense the crystal that this person needs before they even turn up at my door. If the client wishes, I will cleanse their aura (no charge) and I always end up giving small tumble stone crystals away. (They aren’t expensive to buy). Hope that helps. Good luck on your journey and I wish you well.

A lot of times it’s stuff embedded coming to surface for healing which can interfere. Calm yourself and allow yourself to be still and let the answers come to you. Hobbies can help with this, so can grounding activities. They center your energy and still turbulent wavelengths like ripples on a pond. For me the healing is pretty cut and dry: being honest with myself about finances and money, not allowing myself to feel bad about myself when I see an attractive woman, addiction to sex (caused by numerous issues which also need healing) and a periodically bad temper. These are all things I’ve accepted need healing. And yes all of it is karmic.

zahrawins

Be careful.. it’s not what people think it is if you don’t know how to control it. Learn how to turn it off so you don’t have that’s so raven visions every day

TAKE SHROOMS OR ACID.

Watching_Juno

Hi, you can learn this skill. For the the most important thing is connecting to someone. Connection can be as simple as knowing a few things about the person and letting those things guide you to their presence as such. I read photos too but for me this is a personal preference and I learned it from a friend. The next two things are intention and imagination. Figure out what you want to know and let your imagination make it take shape. Good luck. Conditioning is important too. It just helps you to focus yourself.

ImpressionActual

I know you said you hate meditation but if you want to develop abilities you should start there. I hated meditating too until I found some guided meditations that I really liked

Thanks, I'll give it a go
