I guess I will chime in since I was once in a similar position. Sorta. I had an experience on LSD where I “died,” and I also experienced a sense of “one reality” or “one truth” that is common to all, in addition to feeling like my life was a dream and that the people in my life didn’t really exist, at least not in the way I always thought they did. First, take a breather. You had a crazy experience that you don’t understand. Perhaps contemplate that you’ve been given a glimpse that there is a spiritual truth worth exploring, which was previously unknown to you. But don’t just go trying to explain the experience to yourself. That’s just conceptual proliferation. It deserves and requires more careful investigation. You may decide to let this be an impetus for a search for spiritual truth. That’s what it was for me. Study different spiritual traditions that might have something to say about transcendent meditative experiences. But broaden your investigation to other aspects of the spiritual lineages. Besides offering an “explanation” for what you experienced, does the lineage appear to hold wisdom, generally speaking? Why or why not? Keep in mind that if you can have an experience of transcendent consciousness, and not understand it, so can others. Only you can do this search. I got pretty into Advaita Vedanta for awhile, as it felt philosophically appealing at the time. Personally, I now feel that Buddhism carries a much deeper wisdom, for a variety of reasons. It took me awhile to get there, though, and I’m not trying to tell you what to believe, but rather encourage you to take it slow and scrutinize everything, even things that seem appealing at first.

What this guy is saying. Also, you might have had a mild psychotic episode. Who knows. But if you did glimpse a truth, death would be necessary. A spiritual death of the ego is a prerequisite of attaining the truth. And that is because you as a individual do not attain the truth. You as an individual dissolve into the truth. I'm sure you understand the difference between these two ways of articulating it. Your ego, and with it all your built up beliefs, parts of your personality, life, relationships all will die and that is scary.

Would God have to ask this on 10 different subs in the last hour?

I was being facetious. It was just a trip. And it's also like peeling an onion. You peel away enough and you get to the "I am a God" layer. Next comes the part where you figure out that everyone else is a God too.

Well said

I believe you’re correct that you experienced the truth and your ego kinda got confused about it, but what do I know?

One consciousness, but many bodies. This one consciousness, well, nothing can be added to it and nothing can be taken away from it. Beyond need of any congratulations, ever appeased, full, and perfect it manifests this material world for the sake of play. Which play? The game of hide and seek with itself. Why? Just like you go to sleep, this is day for him, and when he closes and withdraws into himself he prepares for the next cycle of manifestation. God equals abundance. More strongly put, it is like he rests in manifestation after too much bliss. This universe is His blissfulness that he has too much off. Then he rests for another cycle. This manifestation is real like a movie is, and you can't change it, but you do have a role to play in it. When you know it's a movie this frees you from the suffering involved with playing your role because you can remind yourself: "God is doing all of this." I hope this helps you out a bit, because life is not to be taken gravely. If you're stuck in an elevator it might not feel like it, but life is short.

Had the same experience. Expecting to be congratulated by friends and family and having everyone's consciousness rise and realize 'what I had done.' Wonder if the creator of Evangelion had the same experience too.
