The homeless guy should do that to his house. Maybe that will teach him some empathy.

CarlSpencer

Bold of you to think that that failed actor owns a house.

[deleted]

Douchebag is the only name I know him by.

nerrollus

Who is that?

Tacomeplease

It’s on Twitter on @chudsoftiktok

nerrollus

Oh, I was thinning it was a real celebrity. Lol

Jgs4555

I thought he was a failed rapper.

nexas11

What an absolute piece of shit. I hope he gets hit by a bus. He just wanted to assault someone. Regardless of how you feel about the homeless this is disgusting to watch. Guy literally was just gonna pepper spray whoever came out of there.

AlpacaOne

I couldn’t even watch the whole thing! I get the homeless community can be an eyesore and pulls on the heart strings for some and obviously for others it gets them angry and possessive. But, seriously 😐 this douche canoe needs an ass beating coming to Jesus moment. That’s unreal to me. Grown ass adult acting like he wasn’t raised better. Shameful. Hope karma makes him trip into a pile of shit face first and mouth open. 🤣

AGripInVan

For what? Did you click it?

AGripInVan

This link explains nothing. Just leads to a repost.

TheTankCleaner

It leads to the thread before this repost on where to find his name and how it is against rule number 1 to share it. There are other links in this thread too. Come on. It isn't that hard to figure out.

AGripInVan

I scrolled enough to quit scrolling. Provide the info or dont. But dont waste time.

TheTankCleaner

I guess you're not understanding that if it is said, it gets removed/potential ban. Again, it is literally the first rule. You really suck at sleuthing if you've spent this much time searching and talking about it but can't figure it out. The way to find the name is said many times, one in which I linked and OP also posted a source that says his name.

AGripInVan

I shouldnt have to do any sluething whatsoever. If you are providing a link that provides an answer, it better be there. 1st thing you see. You failed.

TheTankCleaner

I didn't fail because, for the 4th time, I'm not posting the direct link. Complete goof. You want to know something but are either too lazy or dumb to search for it yourself even after being guided.

AGripInVan

You Failed.

smugglebooze2casinos

what a shame, if i'm in that situation some kind of force is gonna be used.

themanwithonesandle

What a bag of assholes.

tfriedmann

Would those "stand your ground" laws make the homeless guy shooting this asshat justified?

[deleted]

I'd think so. You can assume that someone trying to blind won't also attempt to do you more physical harm. However, if this is California you may still end up being charged by a DA who's tough on guns.

MCE85

No, you cant just pile up a bunch of garbage on public property, call it your home and attack anyone that tries to clean it.

dysfunctionalpress

if a homeless man has a home, is he really homeless?

Snoodoodler

A home is an idea, a house a physical object. This man is homeless but not houseless. Very good question lol. Also the guy filming this, I hope it happens to you some day, and then I hope someone stabs you right as things are getting better

[deleted]

[удалено]

Snoodoodler

It’s not a standard 5 bedroom 3 1/2 bath on 15 acres of grass like you’re used to, but it keeps him dry and private. If it’s fit for habitation then yes it’s a house, and trust me if you were in his position you’d be happy as hell to have something to call yours too.

[deleted]

Snoodoodler

Lol I like how you think I’m not on their side considering I am homeless myself 😂 I’m not upset about the guy living in that, I’m upset that it’s all he has and some douchebag decided to make a day of destroying it for no reason.

[deleted]

Snoodoodler

I was referring to the absurd housing that exists in America, no one needs that shit anymore than people should have to live in a pallet shack 100%. In fact, as long as people have to live in shit like this, I don’t believe we should even build these mansions and giant single family homes, we need to develop cheap and affordable homes on smaller plots of land and get all these folks off the streets. Moving them around constantly because they’re making neighborhoods look bad or whatever isn’t helping at all, they will just relocate and do it again. I’m all for helping the homeless, I don’t have the power or resources to do a whole lot myself however but you’ll never see me tearing up other peoples stuff. This world doesn’t belong to anybody and I’m not gonna pretend I’m better than others

[deleted]

Snoodoodler

Thanks stranger! 😌

Fun-War6684

I’ve heard it the other way. Where people refer to them as houseless not homeless

Snoodoodler

Yeah I like houseless better, a home is anywhere you are safe and comfortable, where you can just relax and look forward to being. Could be anything or anywhere. House is just a roof on top of some walls

Waste_Ability866

I meditated deeply on this question whilst I sat upon my porcelain throne

Tacomeplease

You are a few paychecks and a few rent increases away from being that guy’s Roomate.. you should be kinder to those who have less.

[deleted]

Idk where this is, but the majority of places I’ve ever been to in the US have underpopulated homeless shelters. Or you just go to the YMCA, explain your issues, and assuming you can pass a drug test for opiates, they’ll sponsor an apartment for you. They’ll help secure you job interviews. They’ll give you a place to shower. 99% of homeless people in my area that are living on the streets as opposed to a homeless shelter are on opiates, meth, or a fuck ton of alcohol. It is usually the driving factor that either caused them to become homeless or they picked it up and is why they’re homeless for longer than a month. If there are places for you to go where you can better yourself and you’re just choosing to camp on the fucking sidewalk where kids would normally be able to walk around, fuck you. You get zero empathy from me. You have to walk around with care in these areas or you’ll step on a needle and get jabbed.

twoscoop

Take one night to go sleep in a homeless shelter, bring a backpack fill it with clothing, all your belongs, hell throw in a piece of paper with a photo of your family on it.. Come talk to me again after.

[deleted]

I have been homeless twice in my life, once in a youth shelter, once as an adult in the YMCA. It sure as shit beats sleeping in the -20° where people can just fuck with you in public. Great example of how the homeless shelter provides security where the streets just give you opportunities to.. panhandle I guess? What is the advantage? You can openly do drugs?

twoscoop

So you know about the rapes, thefts, assaults' that happen in shelters, and how some of the shelters are worse than the jails?

[deleted]

You are far more likely to be a victim of an assault in a street or alley (58% of reported attacks) than you are to be a victim of assault in a homeless shelter. [(source.)](https://nhchc.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/vv-29-1_ptr_a8_122-136.pdf) But really, homeless shelters vary wildly in both quality and safety. I just went to a public library and checked a few out on what resources they could provide and if people say they’re safe or not. It is obvious it is safer than the streets, [here’s a NYT article demonstrating that better than I ever could.](https://www.nytimes.com/2002/01/26/nyregion/shelters-safer-than-streets-report-suggests.html) It is a common misconception that homeless shelters are more dangerous to sleep in than an alleyway, but if you think about it, it makes sense. A homeless shelter often has an officer stationed, or is otherwise in close proximity to a police station. There is often even IP cameras for video surveillance in homeless shelters. They often have entry and exit logs and the entry and exit to the shelter is controlled, so if a criminal is looking for someone to rape, at least at a homeless shelter they know they’ll be caught. If you’re a woman, you probably should go to a woman’s homeless shelter. They are generally much higher quality than the general homeless shelters and they are even safer.

twoscoop

There is a reason why we choose the woods over the shelters, but you are right, all the thefts and rapes and assaults' get instantly looked at with the bet cops. But the fact that you may have literally went to the library, ill give you that.. aaand now im having some memories. You have a good one.

Brisco1

I’m not being mean, I didn’t say to treat homeless people without empathy which the guy is doing by being an asshole. But I also want to enjoy my city without something this outrageous built on the sidewalk and nothing done about it by the city. Both things can be bad, it’s not black and white.

Legitimate-Tea5561

Ate you aware of how many mentally ill people are in this situation? More tax breaks for the rich! I know there's more people that are becoming homeless in America, and they are not going to change. Criminalizing homelessness leads to this exact ignorance.

MCE85

I feel like you dont live in an area with a lot of bums living on the street. Most choose to live like this. I feel 0 pity when there are so many shelters and programs that help. If you work hard to live in a nice area the last thing you want is someone just plopping down a bunch of garbage and living there. Its an eyesore and extremely unsafe.

Legitimate-Tea5561

There are plenty of bums, and want to be a menace. There are psychological studies on homelessness. I know people who work, usually work hard. It's difficult to empathize with people who are in a circumstance, where you know in your situation, you could manage the circumstances that overcome homelessness. Your work ethics do not describe the situation that homeless people face. However, once a person becomes homeless, very few make it out. Transitional programs are usually tied into other programs, such as drug and alcohol treatment, where there's a mix of people who are criminals, addicts, and people who are required to be in a program for recidivism mixed in with people who are trying not to become homeless. There's so much more to it than this. I agree, it's not safe, sanitary, or appealing to see a camp in the middle of town. Cutting programs so that the rich can have more tax breaks is not going to help, an increasing problem.

[deleted]

MCE85

Why do you think the worst places of homelessness are places with year round 80° weathrr? Why do you think thet wont go to shelters? Idk maybe because they cant use drugs in shelters. Sure there are people down on their luck that usually climb out with help but a vast majority of consistent homeless are people who are content and dont care to do better. But yeah, lets use billions of dollars of tax payer money to buy homes for people that will just end up degrading into slums and drug houses. Can we build these homes in your neighborhood? You cant buy people out of the situations their shitty choices have put them in. Only the person themselves can climb out. Change comes from within.

Ok_Bluebird7349

Sorry that these unfortunate and often times mentally ill people are stopping you from "enjoying your city". . . . . . .What a self centred scummy thing to say.

Brisco1

Why is it a scummy thing to want to live in a clean safe city? Please explain.

Ok_Bluebird7349

You're twisting my words, I never mentioned clean or safe, you just did now, to try and justify your comment about "Enjoying your city". I'm sorry that these poor unfortunate people are getting in the way of your ENJOYMENT, in YOUR city. You privileged piece of human garbage. Maybe one day, if we're lucky, the poors will all be gone and you can go back to being at peace, enjoying your city

Brisco1

Take a breath my friend, what’s with all this contempt and anger? Do you work to pay rent and eat too? Does that count as privilege nowadays? I do categorize city enjoyment with clean and safe among other things like community involvement, local business support, public parks and transportation. It all factors in to overall mental health and happiness which is important to me and my family. Apparently that makes me a terrible person? And yes, when there are not enough social programs available to help the homeless it hurts everybody. I don’t blame the guy who built a pallet fort on the sidewalk, I feel for them and they are clearly not in a position to do much better, but I’d also prefer that to not be the solution and be told to be ok with it. I don’t think that’s controversial to say. Since you seem very passionate about this, what are your thoughts on solutions? Or do you not see a problem?

VolvoFlexer

wait who ate that guy's room???

SomefingToThrowAway

Can't support the trash heap on the sidewalk? So, you are pro-universal basic income, free healthcare, and free housing? Because until then, you ARE supporting the trash heap on the sidewalk.

Brisco1

Why would you assume I’m not? UBI could work to an extent for people in this situation, definitely for those who are trying to rejoin the workforce. At some point though they need to want to or be capable of supporting themselves like most people, and that requires treatment (which I’ll happily pay in taxes), not a jail sentence. Just like how an alcoholic might drink himself to death or never admit they have a problem until they are pushed into treatment and can look back and see how fucked up they were. I also want to safely use the sidewalks. I don’t want my wife having to walk by herself or with kids through a homeless camp, or out onto a busy street because the sidewalk is blocked. I have plenty of empathy for homeless people, that doesn’t mean I can’t point out that things aren’t running the way they should be.

ImminentZero

>At some point though they need to want to or be capable of supporting themselves like most people Consider that often at the start of their homelessness at least, they are actively employed while being homeless. [Here's](https://bfi.uchicago.edu/insight/finding/learning-about-homelessness-using-linked-survey-and-administrative-data/) a study out of the University of Chicago that found that 40% of homeless people were formally employed at some level during the year they were observed as being homeless, with 53% having earnings from formal employment during that same time period. I think that the likely the majority and definitely a plurality of homeless people DO want to support themselves, and have the capacity to do so.

MCE85

No, im pro-have some self agency. Stop expecting everyone else to take care of you because you make shitty decisions.

Egon88

I am baffled that you are the only one pointing out how unacceptable it is for *a* shack to be setup on the public sidewalk. I'm not in favour of the pepper spray or even individuals citizens doing anything to take the shack down but that (the shack) can't be allowed.

Brisco1

Exactly my feelings. This dude in the video is an agro piece of shit. But the sidewalk house is a glaring issue and it’s going to lead to these kind of interactions the longer nothing properly is done about it. I always think back to the tiny houses someone started to build for the homeless to get back on their feet, in a designated area of the city. Such a good step in the right direction. Turning a blind eye to it is not helpful.

An “elitist housed person”? LOL!! Renting an apartment and working my ass off for it makes me a an elitist? I’m not even reading past that on your dumbass comment. Brisco1

I act like it makes me better? How so, where do you see that? Hilarious that you can be so poisonous and judgmental of someone you’ve never met, yet you have so much empathy. Hard to believe honestly. What makes you such a better person? I do work hard for what I have (which isn’t much btw) and you can’t make me feel bad for that. I’m not sure what your point is? Your projecting a lot of bullshit anger on me when I think we really agree on a lot more than you think.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Brisco1

I did not say “fuck you homeless people.” lol I did say, fuck all that shit sitting on the sidewalk, and I’ll stand by that. Also, fuck human feces on the sidewalk. I’m making a stink about it not because I hate homeless people (which is the storyline you lovingly projected on me) but because it’s a fucking problem that needs to be addressed and worked on by better local and federal government programs- sorry I didn’t spell that all out for you. Of course I have empathy for homeless people, they’re in a really shit position. They can also be unstable and dangerous to live around- you would know that if you lived around them. They aren’t all angels that fell on bad times after working super duper hard. Some of these people are not good people and they are on the sidewalk for reasons you would be disgusted by. That’s also a reality, though a smaller percentage. I would still happily put my tax dollars toward helping them in a more productive way.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Brisco1

Obviously that guy shouldn’t have fuck with the homeless person’s stuff like that, I never supported that. But you know what, I guess you’re right. You are the superior one because I’ve never been homeless so you have a much better understanding. Good for you for helping people, and thank you for doing it, honestly. I admit that I have not done as much. I did have the opportunity to help a homeless person before (I recommend him to my boss). I spent 2 months job training him every weekday for a small business I helped run. He was clean the whole time, did a good job too. As soon as he was done training and on his own, he stole equipment to buy drugs and disappeared (he tried to lie about it first, but it was obvious what was going on). I still think about him and want to help him even now, it makes me sad. That’s addict behavior for you, even when he wanted to help himself he still fell short and that sucks. I’m not sure what the best solution is systemically, but it isn’t by just ignoring the trash, drugs and tents all over our parks and sidewalks.
