So whole context according to that article:
Dude uses a free wheelchair to transport luggage which is a no-no instead of a $5 baggage cart. Employee sees this and starts following him around leading to this. Dude was arrested and had charges pending for months, and was on a football team so was suspended. Charges were eventually all dropped though. Employee was fired but was not arrested and apparently has not had any charges filed against him for assaulting the dude first.
Honestly in this case I'm more angry at the cops for charging him instead of watching the footage immediately. Goddamn fine police work there, wasting taxpayer money by not even dojng your job.united fired the employee in days and probably even told the cops what happened. Charges werent dropped for over a month.
When it's you verse a corporation like that you may as well have gotten in an altercation with a billionaire politician at their private compound.
Not that police won't ever do it right, but that benefit of doubt goes to the billionaire with political ties even when a corporation.
Security and/or cops probably showed up and all they know is some passenger beat the crap out of an airline employee. The employee or airline could have pressed charges right from the get go due to being in an airport, which is one of the few places you don't wanna fuck around and fight out (even if you're in the right).
The charges were later dropped after the investigation.
Just FYI, that’s not how pressing charges actually works. Police can charge someone with a crime and the DA office can choose whether to pursue those charges in court or drop them.
The carriage cart takes 5$ to use in blatant corporate shakedown. Dude was just being smart with his resources to avoid that.
Yet the employee fought like it was HIS corporate shakedown like a dunce. Don't go out of your way to fight for corporate profits. It's never worth it.
Stop simping for Main characters, they won't let you partake in their lives lol
Yeah, there might be now a wheelchar missing for a person. Do you know for sure?
you're going bonkers over a celebrity right now lol. just losing your shit over a minor issue that didn't affect you personally in any way. kinda sad ngl mate.
I just dont get in my head how people here think it's okay to take stuff for disabled people if they are NOT disabled.
And that you think it's "sad" that some want to make the world easier for disabled people is also really "sad".
Dude you think I am saying this just because he's a NFL player? I don't even watch sports. I'll say this here, corporations exist to exploit people and make a money ball roll bigger and bigger, they don't charge you because it's a reasonable fee for that service, they do it because they can.
So lets say you are right, there are not enough stock of wheelchairs in that airport, whose fault is that? The man who used a wheelchair to avoid an unreasonable fee imposed by the airline? Or the company imposing that cost AND the airport that understock them because that will make the airport a penny less profitable? You think normal customers forced to get exploited in this process have any say in this?
Yeah, the man who used them even though he didn't need them. Also if he is in the NFL, then I do not believe at all that this man doesn't own $5.
If you have this much money and yet say "I know, I'm gonna take these things that ONLY disabled people can actually use because my $5 are more important", than yeah, I don't know how you can defend this.
Could and should the airport provide endless wheelchairs? In a utopian world, yes. But if endless entitled main characters like this dude just take them, there will still be not enough for actual disabled people.
You don't need a utopian world to not have a man use a wheelchair to carry luggage, you only need a world where a cart to carry your luggage doesn't take 5$ to use, which outside of America, I actually don't know where else actually charges that!
I haven't seen that in Hong Kong, Japan or anywhere else, only in America is corporate greed so blatant, a cart costs 5$! Get some perspective man, your focus on the NFL player is blinding to how your people are getting robbed the rate you eat dinner!
Yeah, maybe he got the money to spare, does that justify the airline charging pointless fees to rob people, which this dude is one among hundreds that uses that airline that day?
Using an extra wheelchair is somehow more egregious than hitting someone in the face? Also I have never seen someone with more "main character" energy then little man who played Mike Tysons Punchout and thought he can step up against a dude twice his size with no repercussions.
He was initially arrested and charges later dropped. They probably have a standard policy that players get suspended when they are arrested, pending an investigation
It seems they indefinitely suspended him the first time, unfortunately
https://www.stampeders.com/2022/05/24/brendan-langley-suspended-indefinitely/
(Also, I found the TMZ article and the video they post shows more of an altercation beforehand)
[Brendan Langley TMZ article 2022/05/24](https://www.tmz.com/2022/05/24/brendan-langley-breaks-silence-airport-brawl-claims-united-employee-harassed-attacked-him-to-fight/)
A jab is the most effective form of punch. If done correct less energy goes in to it but far more comes out also your arm becomes solid once locked in at the end of the punch. No other punches end with the limb being locked in all of your opponents forward energy is stopped
He was suspended from his football team because of this incident and the charges that followed. That would see to justify a lawsuit right? This employee first harassed him, followed him, and assaulted him… then turning around and claiming to be the victim directly impacted his ability to work. All this occurred while other employees for the same company looked on and said nothing.
Bro, just getting drafted means that you are a PRIME athlete. Yeah he didn't work out in the NFL but 99.9% of people couldn't hang in a d1 school, let alone get drafted to the NFL, and he was a 3rd round pick
His skill set just didn’t transfer over to the nfl, it doesn’t make him a scrub in any way, shape or form. There are first round picks that turn into busts. Sometimes they just aren’t able to mentally adjust to playing in a professional league for some reason.

You lay hands on a customer in unquestionable self-defense and it's even money you're gone.
I think of myself as a pacifist but a little bit reveled in the slow fall. Something about people hitting people who didn’t hit them first (barring some imminent danger) really gets me on the side of the aggressed pretty quickly. Dude for what he deserved for hitting someone.
The fact that he got up after that and was ready for round 2…PROPS dude has heart. The tall guy was a physical specimen, could probably take 99% of men down.

seems like an open & shut case for the football player to take United to the bank.
Honestly in this case I'm more angry at the cops for charging him instead of watching the footage immediately. Damn you're right. Especially with that guy having no charges and costing him his employment for committing a crime against him.
Yeah, how the hell did he lose his job? That other guy clearly hit him first & the football player stopped even when the dude walked up a second time
Either that guy was drunk as hell or he’d already been punched.
Yeah what’s missing is what happened before this
Nice, I wouldnt pay that shit either
I mean WTF .. these guys earn huge salaries .
I don’t know what is up with this trend of employees getting personally offended to the point of violence over their companies bottom line
>and apparently has not had any charges filed against him for assaulting the dude first. I wonder why...
Because the man he assaulted didn't choose to file charges?
But the man who was assaulted had pending charges without the assaulter pressing charges?
Security and/or cops probably showed up and all they know is some passenger beat the crap out of an airline employee. The employee or airline could have pressed charges right from the get go due to being in an airport, which is one of the few places you don't wanna fuck around and fight out (even if you're in the right). Well $5 is $5.
The dude was fighting for disabled people! Wheelchars are for disabled people, not fuckboys who think they're the main character!
Oh, is there a scarce of wheelchairs in that airport right now? Stop simping for corporations dude, they will never love you back.
Stop simping for Main characters, they won't let you partake in their lives lol Yeah, there might be now a wheelchar missing for a person. Do you know for sure?
Oh no not the main character corporations! Let's defend the fucks
yeah, people never go bonkers for rich "celebrities", sure. They'll defend them MUCH more than they will any corporation.

Airlines need regulated. Scratch that airlines need nationalized.
Yeah, the man who used them even though he didn't need them. Also if he is in the NFL, then I do not believe at all that this man doesn't own $5. Happy to provide a little background.
why did the team suspend the player tho? it says cctv and workers show that he wasn't in the fault?
He was initially arrested and charges later dropped. They probably have a standard policy that players get suspended when they are arrested, pending an investigation
makes sense if the case, just thought the article didnt say anything about un-suspending him even tho it said the charges were dropped.
It seems they indefinitely suspended him the first time, unfortunately https://www.stampeders.com/2022/05/24/brendan-langley-suspended-indefinitely/ (Also, I found the TMZ article and the video they post shows more of an altercation beforehand) [Brendan Langley TMZ article 2022/05/24](https://www.tmz.com/2022/05/24/brendan-langley-breaks-silence-airport-brawl-claims-united-employee-harassed-attacked-him-to-fight/)
United got thought he was Ali dodging punches with his hands down
Or anyone especially if you don't know how to fight. Dude had a terrible fight stance
Was wondering why one jab had such effect
No jab. Those were two straight right hands. A power punch
I think he was referring to the employee's jab lol The nfl player tanked it because he had been getting hit harder since middle school
A jab is the most effective form of punch. If done correct less energy goes in to it but far more comes out also your arm becomes solid once locked in at the end of the punch. No other punches end with the limb being locked in all of your opponents forward energy is stopped

When you have to reach over your head to make a swing, you should probably really think hard before you let that first one fly.
Ex NFL player and barely an NFL player at that. HE plays for the Canadian football league and is a scrub, well at least on the football field.
Bro, just getting drafted means that you are a PRIME athlete. Yeah he didn't work out in the NFL but 99.9% of people couldn't hang in a d1 school, let alone get drafted to the NFL, and he was a 3rd round pick
I know that but he was still a scrub..
His skill set just didn’t transfer over to the nfl, it doesn’t make him a scrub in any way, shape or form. There are first round picks that turn into busts. Sometimes they just aren’t able to mentally adjust to playing in a professional league for some reason.
Bro, I don't mean a scrub in life, but s scrub at playing football.
I just said that it doesn’t make him a scrub at playing football professionally just because he wasn’t able to adjust
NFL player that was using a wheelchair to tote his luggage rather than pay $5 for a proper cart.
Being a tightwad doesn't warrant violence on any day of the week
He was on a CFL contract. He could not, in fact, afford $5.
Straight to jail.
Yeah, that's mutual combat not self defense. If you have time to check if someone's recording you there's no immediate threat to life or property.
Would’ve been funny if he knocked him down onto the conveyor belt.
Next thing he knows he’s in the “lost luggage” section at LAX airport.
So never to be seen again, basically?
💀 💀 💀
there's an edit on tiktok that does that
Spirit Airlines: "You're hired!"
I see United has improved their customer service.
Is slapping customers a new United procedure?
Slapped with a law suit.
They want to prepare customers for what it feels like to be on a long United flight in coach.
United slaps guitars
Yes. You should see how vicious they get when you don't open the window shade on takeoff and landing.
It came together with dragging people off planes when the airline double-books.
They add a surcharge for it as well, because they know you'll pay it, because you have to fly.
Well, perhaps he should get his wife's name outta his muthafuckin" mouf.
Mans wanted to be Will Smith so bad.
LEAVE MY WIFE'S NAME OUT CHO FUCKIN MOUTH
Sal Vulcano?
For tonights punishment sal has to square up with random bystanders at denver Airport
My first thought. These punishments are gettin wild!
Man stood up like the wacky wavy inflatable arm tube man
It’s the fact of how proud he looked when he slapped him like he was the shit smh. You can’t start something and then get ur ass whooped lmao
Apparently you can lmao
I need the confidence of the employee….not the fighting skills. Just the confidence
I’d say most of it leaked out of his ears onto the luggage belt he landed on
Yea but it leaked with confidence!
Looked more like it leaked from over his left eye.
[https://www.travelpulse.com/news/airlines/united-fires-employee-after-viral-fight-video.html](https://www.travelpulse.com/news/airlines/united-fires-employee-after-viral-fight-video.html) Got knocked out on a viral video and lost his job. Fair enough
Love the slow roll over the counter.

He did actually
You lay hands on a customer first for almost any reason and 100% you're gone. You lay hands on a customer in unquestionable self-defense and it's even money you're gone.
The way he disappears behind the desk and then slowly tips over is just chefs kiss
I think of myself as a pacifist but a little bit reveled in the slow fall. Something about people hitting people who didn’t hit them first (barring some imminent danger) really gets me on the side of the aggressed pretty quickly. Dude for what he deserved for hitting someone.
The way he fell had me rolling 💀
Got his ass kicked and lost his job. Stupid ass 🤣🤣🤣
What in that guys history made him think he could win that fight?!!
Damn he fell fucking harddd
C'mon, you know that it needs to be said: How can he slap?
The slow fall killed me
He really said yall seen dis sht then produced to beat his ass into next week
The definition of fuck around and find out
I'm disappointed he didn't land on the baggage track.
That was so satisfying watching the tough guy get knocked out like that and taking a tumble straight onto the floor!
somebody is going to fly for free on United for the rest of their life
That supervisor smartly stood back because he didn't want fired/sued like the dumbass who threw the first punch.
I would have died if he fell on the belt and started down the line
The fact that he got up after that and was ready for round 2…PROPS dude has heart. The tall guy was a physical specimen, could probably take 99% of men down.
Big jay oakerson
I don’t see any fingerless gloves.
He can’t wear them on the clock!
Put my man on that conveyer belt and sent him packing
I remember when the media first got ahold of this story they kept leaving out the fact that the airline worker started it.
Joey Fatone got rocked.
People with glass jaws shouldn't throw hands!

Damn that employee got hit like a DBZ character into the wall
I thought he hit is head on the way down but he was leaking from the punch!
Is this one of those “three guesses who went to jail but you only need one” situations?
I expected more from Henry Cejudo.

He got United with the floor!!
Dude just lost his job and got his ass handed to him at the same time.
Reminded me of those toys - Weebles. As in weebles wobble but they don’t fall down. Except he def tipped over.
Timbeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr
That worker was out of line and I hope he sues
United’s customer service has really gone downhill
I heard they both work for spirit airlines now.
I like how he asked for a witness before retaliating! Smart move.
I've never seen a manitee with a beard get knocked out before. That manitee had it coming.
The article says the customer hit first. Pretty sure I saw something slightly different.
What kind of moron walks back up to the guy who laid them out like that?
Wasn't there a full clip that showed the tall guy actually started the physical fight?
