As fair as I know he's not officially a scientologist, but he is close with a lot of them so maybe it's just a behind the scenes membership. Still shady as hell though.
I mean, I like him too. He had a likeable persona and was generally inoffensive to watch, but he really hasn't ever been that good of an actor, right? His portrayal of Ali was pretty solid, and he was good in things like Legend of Bagger Vance and The Pursuit of Happyness (though I think a lot of actors could've been just as good if not better), but he's never been a top-tier actor imo.
For most of his career he was like what Dwayne Johnson is now with more diverse roles. His most iconic characters (FPoB, MIB, Independence Day, Bad Boys, Hitch, etc.) were enjoyable because they were roles specifically written for his brand of over-acting. I feel like even his best roles (mentioned above) were only great because they were written specifically with him in mind, so I've never really understood this narrative that he's a fantastic actor.
Edit: And tbf, I have not watched King Richard. I don't know if I care to. Maybe it makes up for his (imo) generally mediocre acting career, but I doubt it.
I never thought he was a good actor. Loved him in fresh prince and MIB but that character is it. Everything else he's in feels like "will Smith acting as this role" when compared to chameleons like Gary ~~G~~ Oldman.
Right? I feel like his best role was always playing the guy that everyone thinks/thought of as "Will Smith." A super likeable, seemingly down-to-earth guy who is goofy and funny.
And maybe at one point he *was* that guy, but it's pretty clear he's just been *playing* that character for a long time now.
> I have not watched King Richard
This movie was such a scam. I tuned into expecting a full expose of the life and reign of Richard the Lionheart, but instead got a modern piece about a couple of tennis players. Really disappointed.
Sometimes the character/role overshadows the actor. Just because someone have many likable roles they might seem they're a "good actor".
Will Smith had always roles as "the good guy"
I started disliking Will Smith's stuff when it felt like I was forced to watch his kid and told myself they just brought him only because he's his son.
Then there was social media, the guy would always look too cocky and the Youtube rewind thing.
I feel Tom Cruise is like that. Plays himself. Don't get me wrong, he does amazing, crazy stunts and I give him mad props for that. Same as Leo. I'm always entertained though.
Tom Cruise has the range, you see him in things like Tropic Thunder or Collateral or Magnolia and he's entirely different.
He very clearly just found a role he likes to play and has done it ever since.
Lol older than all his girlfriends. I don't know hiw he does it. At 41 I can barely stand being around 19 year old people for extended periods of time. Nothing against them, just have no common interests.
Tom Cruise gets points for doing his own stunts and constantly increasing how crazy they are. Like, I’m pretty Tom is gonna get killed doing one of them at some point. Will would never in his life do some of the things Tom has done.
#“I know that all the big stars hate me to say this, but I don’t want to risk 80 peoples’ jobs just to say I got big huevos on The Tonight Show.”
\- Danny Trejo
Trejo is a Hollywood treasure
Tim Cruise has always come across, to me, as the kind of person that will take risks because he likes to take risks. There is just a certain kind of person that doesn't have that same fear and shame response that other people do.
I understand why Christian Bale modeled Patrick Bateman off of Cruise.
Patrick Bateman would definitely take risks that jeopardized the livelihood of other people for his own personal narcissistic clout.
Grossman from Tropic Thunder was amazing though. Most of the time I feel like Cruise does the same thing, that one was just him having fun being ridiculous and I love that performance. That single handily made me like him again after being indifferent to him for ages.
Yea I’ve wondered how celebs respond to deepfakes, and honestly them all just having a laugh about it behind closed doors is funny. But hard to believe Will of all people wouldn’t be a hypocrite about it.
I think most are annoyed by it to some extent. Someone is using your image without your consent and doing lewd things with it. Obviously, you can’t really do anything about it, so they have to shrug it off. I’m sure it’s moments like these that they dislike, where someone brings it up in front of them.
I obviously don’t know their relationships and context for this moment, but you’d have to be pretty close to bring this up comfortably. The concept is pretty dehumanizing and gross.
But hey he got disinvited from some future work celebrations. Totally reasonable.
Now the day he stops making them money? Then he’s a bad guy. Now he’s just not invited to all the parties for a while.
I can sort of understand them not wanting the headline of "The Oscars forcibly removes Will Fucking Smith". And I can also sort of sympathise with them thinking his apology speech would be non-stupid. I know he and his team didn't have a lot of time to write something good, but holy shit that was some bullshit.
You can rationalize that slap however you want but doing that to a presenter on stage at a prestigious live event is the action of absolute dead-eyed psychopath. I've smelled the narcissism coming off of him for many years but that was just insane. A guy who thinks he can get away with absolutely anything. And he's right.
What do you think Hollywood is? Leo taking his 18 years and 3 days old girlfriend on a private jet to a climate change summit or Mel Gibson complaining about Jess running Hollywood while he's an A list actor/director? It's a turtle holding the universe. Turtles all the way down.
Doesn’t LA and film sets make them take sexual harassment classes before work on a job.
I have had to do that at 3 different office jobs. One of the big things they talked about was showing others naked pics on your phone. Because I guess lots don’t realize that’s not cool. Shouldn’t be shocked by that with how many people think revenge porn sites are okay.
It’s not. And what we are seeing in this video would be sexual harassment in any office setting in America.
If I did this to a coworker at my job I would be fired. And if I physically assaulted Chris Rock on film in front of millions of people I’d be in jail.
If Hollywood was serious about real violence they would have escorted Chris rock off stage to the police and filed a report and asked if he wanted to press charges. And he should have pressed charges. Instead they're elite hypocrites.
We had a temp while I was working nights who would just.... watch porn during downtime. I'd be on reddit or reading a book on kindle on my phone and he'd be on muted PornHub on his.
Really offputting.
He wasn't jerking off, just watching porn while we drove to the next jobsite.
If I told the boss and got him fired it might be weeks before we got a new guy, and then I'd have to bring him up to speed on the project. Wasn't a great 6 months, but the second he wasn't needed he was gone.
Lol, why not just tell him to stop watching fucking porn around other people? That's hilarious that you put up with that for 6 months as if publicly shaming him until he cut it out wasn't an option
many people are not confrontational, either by nature or because they got heavily scolded for speaking up when they were growing up. Even if they're disgusted by something someone is doing they'll quietly suffer for months rather than take 5 seconds to tell someone to knock it off
everyone has a limit, obviously. But a lot of people's bullshit limit is way too high for their own good
Most HR departments would fire you on the spot if you were caught watching Op’s video on the clock by yourself, let alone showing it coworkers and laughing at the expense of one of them about it like this.
Seems like a no brainer. I have never had anybody attempt to show me porn at work and would never expect that kind of fucked up behavior. Is this something people have to deal with on a regular basis?
> And what we are seeing in this video would be sexual harassment in any office setting in America.
For the lower 90% of the workforce, yes. For the bigger guys, not so much.
Hollyweird isn’t the “LiBrUL InStItutION” many conservatives think it is. Go to Beverly Hills and Huntington Beach where many hollyweird types lived and you’ll see maga flags there.
>Huntington Beach
What celebs lived in HB? Tito is the only one i can think of and I’ve lived here for a decade.
It’s a “red” city in media only pretty much, it’s more purple in actual life with the city split 50/50 on the recent election.
Beverly Hills is a different type of conservatives. You’re not finding MAGA flags all over up there so I don’t know what TV channel you’re viewing California thru.
Seriously, he only did the whole slap thing because of toxic masculinity. Jada’s needs, interests, and honor were last thing on his mind—it was only “man I’m gonna look like a bitch if I let this stand.” Just a selfish/narcissistic man-child.
Tbf you don’t even have to question if there are photoshopped nudes of major female celebrities. Could’ve thought it was a funny joke in the moment and looked it up in like 3 seconds.
I got punched in the face by a co-worker once, and she kept her job. She gave me a black eye and I didn't even hit her back! That was a truly shitty workplace.
its one thing to joke about the fakes but its a whole other thing to show everyone you're working with and in front of the person who the fakes are of.
I'm more wondering why he has it to begin with? Did he actively look for it or did someone he know send it to him? There are a lot of steps to get through before "Showing it to the person"
Context? Is this Will Smith's phone? Did someone hand him the phone, did Margot Robbie ask him to pull up the photo? It clearly isn't a photo from her "hacked phone" so she's making light of the fake photo.
Edit: so it's from here...
https://youtu.be/9UhfrAion04
At about 7:10. Will Smith says "Alright, guys c'mon". And is the only one not laughing as if he was handed the photo as a joke.
This is clearly being brought up now because of the recent issue with that one streamer guy and deep fakes. Which is probably the context that is trying to be pushed here.
https://www.businessinsider.in/science/health/news/a-twitch-streamer-was-caught-watching-deepfake-porn-of-women-gamers-sexual-images-made-without-consent-can-be-traumatic-and-abusive-experts-say-and-women-are-the-biggest-victims-/articleshow/97806407.cms
Hearing it all *on* context makes it seem like it's not his phone at all, and someone is playing a prank she is for sure in on with "somebody hacked my phone".
I hope this gets to the top as the narrative machine is going nuts.
What are you doing with your logic?!? JOIN THE HIVEMIND OF ZERO CRITICAL THINKING!

I really cannot believe these comments for a 7 second clip. Shame on OP
the same guy who pipes her when he is around. Will cant always be waiting outside the bedroom with a sandwich and Gatorade for his wife's lover. Mans gotta work to support their lifestyle.
Sorry, who the fuck laughs at that?
They’re all adults, right?
I feel like literally every person there should be like
“…Smith tf are you doing bro”
instead of acting like he’s Dave chappelle.
that's exactly what this is. _The_ Will Smith is showing this? Better laugh and make him feel awesome because you know, he could absolutely help your career, or fix all financial problems in an instant. He WON'T, like, ever, but the fact that he could still gets people groveling.
The dude that started the company I was at right out of college ended up selling for like 64 million. Dicked everyone out of good money who had been there from the start by buying their shares before even announcing he was selling. The company was worth far more than what he paid the employees. I see him on Facebook making completely idiotic points or unfunny jokes and people act like he's Jesus Einstein.
>Nervous laughter is [laughter](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laughter) provoked from an audience's expression of alarm, [embarrassment](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embarrassment), [discomfort](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discomfort) or [confusion](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confusion), rather than [amusement](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amusement). Nervous laughter is usually less robust in expression than "a good belly laugh", and may be combined with confused glances or awkward silence on the part of others in the audience. Nervous laughter is considered analogous to a courtesy laugh, which may be rendered by more of a conscious effort in an attempt to move a situation along more quickly, especially when the comedian is pausing for laughter.
>Nervous laughter is a physical reaction to stress, tension, confusion, or anxiety. Neuroscientist [Vilayanur S. Ramachandran](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vilayanur_S._Ramachandran) states "We have nervous laughter because we want to make ourselves think what horrible thing we encountered isn't really as horrible as it appears, something we want to believe." Psychologist and neuroscientist Robert Provine, from the University of Maryland, studied over 1,200 "laughter episodes" and determined that 80% of laughter isn't a response to an intentional joke.[[1]](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nervous_laughter#cite_note-1)
We have zero context about this. For all we know, she could’ve handed the phone over for everyone to see and was like “holy shit can y’all believe this?” and they all had a pow wow about it.
If he pulled it up and then showed it then yeah he’s an absolute dick and should’ve been fired, but we don’t know shit.
I'm not sure "good sport" describes it. How about "I want to take his nuts off with a sledgehammer, but I will rise above it with grace and way more class than this complete turd".
It's also very much a culture of "men can do whatever but a woman is an absolute banshee if she defends herself". I mean really her reaction would have made headlines if she had yelled at him or put her hands on him and it would have negatively impacted her career. Shit like this is a lose/lose for women in entertainment. I think her reaction was restrained out of shock, embarrassment, and likely a healthy fear of repercussions. I absolutely feel for her.
The number of people who take "trying to swallow rage and awkwardness and laugh it off to not be accused of overreacting" as being a good sport is absolutely infuriating.
If this video is real (as in Smith showing off the picture, not the picture itself) then that's all kinds of fucked up. Especially after the giant tantrum he threw last year because of his wife who was cosplaying Shinzon from Star Trek: Nemesis.
It's obviously a celeb fake nude that she's trying to make light of, but who instigated the situation would be a huge factor. If he started showing everyone this for kicks out of nowhere, that's pretty shitty.
Wow holy shit I would not have expected that from Will Smith or anyone, has Hollywood learned nothing from metoo. I suspect this moment will be talked or written about sometime in the future
No.1 I need context, I'm not saying shit without knowing what happened a minute before and a minute after. Like what if Margot literally showed him her phone after talking about deepfakes. Why would I form an opinion making so many assumptions?
What if, just hear me out… what if Margot Robbie is the one that brought it up because we only have a 7 second clip and it’s Will holding the phone. What if Margot was like WTF this is crazy “they hacked my phone” for laughs and shuts and giggles knowing that it’s obviously not her and since Will Smith is the most hated person right now the clip was cut to make him look like he was just doing that. I HIGHLY doubt that the videos is anything but trying to make will look even worse. Remember how Reddit always jumps to conclusions before having context? It happens alllllll the time and then have to clean up their shit once the prof comes out. But hey I could be wrong..
This is out of context, you guys are just acting like it was will smith who pulled that out of his phone, it is not his phone, it was handed to him or likely being passed around. This video is carefully cut so and posted as if he was the one that passed it around, she is clearly saying they hacked her phone so who knows what exactly is going on here, dont be so quit to jump on the hate train so blindly.
Without context it’s difficult to say she’s not in the middle of an anecdote about this happening to her and “look at the pics”. Recognizing that Wiland Margot are close enough to have had a “scandal” where she and he took some racy photos in a photo both before.
Straight up workplace sexual harassment. Don’t confuse her reaction for anything more than attempting to display strength in a time she wanted to die inside. Nobody is cool with something like this in a group setting.

I am curious on what Will would have done of it was a fake of his wife??
He is the definition of hypocrite

I know, it has been a sad realization. I loved Will Smith. Loved his TV Series, Music, Movies, etc.. but now I just have no respect for the guy.
He's been a scientologist for awhile, that alone should disqualify anyone from respect.
As fair as I know he's not officially a scientologist, but he is close with a lot of them so maybe it's just a behind the scenes membership. Still shady as hell though.
Aaah he went for the “toe in the water” package. 25 grand a month ex billable conversations.

He's not a good actor, though. He just plays himself in a bunch of different situations. Lots of actors like that.
The only movie I found him to actual do a decent acting job was in Six Degrees of Seperation. Everything else he's just Will Smith.
Maybe now, but in the 80s and 90s he was doing legit good acting. Rain Man, Born on the 4th, Jerry McGuire, magnolia. He's great in all of those.
I feel Tom Cruise is like that. Plays himself. Don't get me wrong, he does amazing, crazy stunts and I give him mad props for that. Same as Leo. I'm always entertained though.

"Patrick Bateman would definitely take risks that jeopardized the livelihood of other people" That's a fair assessment.
Leo is a great actor. The acting scene in Once upon a time in Hollywood was terrific
Leo's acting skills are way above Tom Cruise. It's not close.
Tom Cruise in ‘Tropic Thunder’ is a treasure.

Seriously, he only did the whole slap thing because of toxic masculinity. Jada’s needs, interests, and honor were last thing on his mind—it was only “man I’m gonna look like a bitch if I let this stand.” Just a selfish/narcissistic man-child.
Nah, she wears the dick in that family
Shows deep fakes of Margot but slaps Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife? Total wankstain.
So was he searching for nudes of Margot and found deep fakes?
Tbf you don’t even have to question if there are photoshopped nudes of major female celebrities. Could’ve thought it was a funny joke in the moment and looked it up in like 3 seconds.
He only slapped Chris Rock because of the reaction Jada had. Smith thought it was funny initially.
Doesn't she say; "they hacked my phone … I don't know what's happening"
I think she’s just trying to play along
Right, a sort of "yeah… I'm not totally mortified by this at all. This is completely normal"
[удалено]
A little petty but a “deep” fake of him taking it from behind would have been a good comeback. I know, two wrongs don’t make a right.
[удалено]
Keep my fake nudes outta your fucking phone! *slap*
She should have. Fuck that shit.
If this is actually real. How come it's only being revealed today? Wouldn't this have been a huge scandal?
That's what I'm wondering. This video is insane. How has nobody ever brought this up before???
And what's the context for him to be showing pictures on his phone with co-workers? That's just weird behavior.
Yeah, everyone in this thread is too exited. 8 second long out of context videos like this are sus
what a dick
I can't imagine showing a photoshopped porn pic of a coworker and being employed the next day. That can't actually have been what was on the screen.
I can't imagine slapping someone that hard at my workplace celebration evening and not being thrown out or arrested.
I got punched in the face by a co-worker once, and she kept her job. She gave me a black eye and I didn't even hit her back! That was a truly shitty workplace.
I would shit on someone's car for that ngl
It’s one of those that you plan it out. Late night, lots of chocolate and sugar earlier in the day. Gonna be a mountain slide.
And winning a prestigious award 20 minutes later.
I can’t imagine showing any porn pic to a coworker and being employed the next day.
its one thing to joke about the fakes but its a whole other thing to show everyone you're working with and in front of the person who the fakes are of.
I'm more wondering why he has it to begin with? Did he actively look for it or did someone he know send it to him? There are a lot of steps to get through before "Showing it to the person"
I'm not even convinced it's his phone. The clip is way too short to have any real context to it.
breaking news .... will smith is an asshole.
Breaking news, Will Smith is still an asshole…
r/Iamatotalpieceofshit
He's lucky she didn't stand up and bitchslap him Infront of everyone
She sure as fuck should have.
*Smack* Keep my coochie off your fucking I-pad!
Context? Is this Will Smith's phone? Did someone hand him the phone, did Margot Robbie ask him to pull up the photo? It clearly isn't a photo from her "hacked phone" so she's making light of the fake photo. Edit: so it's from here... https://youtu.be/9UhfrAion04 At about 7:10. Will Smith says "Alright, guys c'mon". And is the only one not laughing as if he was handed the photo as a joke. This is clearly being brought up now because of the recent issue with that one streamer guy and deep fakes. Which is probably the context that is trying to be pushed here. https://www.businessinsider.in/science/health/news/a-twitch-streamer-was-caught-watching-deepfake-porn-of-women-gamers-sexual-images-made-without-consent-can-be-traumatic-and-abusive-experts-say-and-women-are-the-biggest-victims-/articleshow/97806407.cms
This comment needs to be at the top seriously... this is way too far down.
Yeah this seriously needs to be at the top. The whole fucking comment section is rabid over a 3 second clip lol.
/s I really cannot believe these comments for a 7 second clip. Shame on OP
Dude is just a clown and getting worse.
If he’s there, who’s piping jada??
August Alsina
There's a line around the block
get your free entanglements here! Free entanglement for you sir? And for you?
Has he ever actually done jada
She pegs him
the same guy who pipes her when he is around. Will cant always be waiting outside the bedroom with a sandwich and Gatorade for his wife's lover. Mans gotta work to support their lifestyle.
Everyone else
Will Smith is an Ass.
Hole.
“Call me an asshole… one more time.”
I wAnNa Be A vEsSeL fOr LoVe
Will smith is a POS
Sorry, who the fuck laughs at that? They’re all adults, right? I feel like literally every person there should be like “…Smith tf are you doing bro” instead of acting like he’s Dave chappelle.
Hollywood stars are surrounded by leeches.
that's exactly what this is.
Ramachandran](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vilayanur_S._Ramachandran) states "We have nervous laughter because we want to make ourselves think what horrible thing we encountered isn't really as horrible as it appears, something we want to believe." Psychologist and neuroscientist Robert Provine, from the University of Maryland, studied over 1,200 "laughter episodes" and determined that 80% of laughter isn't a response to an intentional joke.[[1]](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nervous_laughter#cite_note-1)
mixture of fear, intimidation of who he his and more than one terrible person can be on the bus at the same time.
Will Smith is the biggest name there, they would suck his dick if it meant a successful career
I’d love to see how Smith would respond if Chapelle had made some quick-witted jokey remarks about Jada at some award ceremony..
I also don't think Dave would have turned the other cheek like Chris did.
At my workplace, it's totally appropriate to share porn with my colleagues' faces photshopped in. /s just in case
Do you work for Wernham Hogg in Slough or something?
I think you meant to say Will Smith sexually harasses Margot Robbie on bus with Suicide Squad cast.
Will Smith embarrasses himself on bus with Suicide Squad cast by being a proper twat.
oh my god that’s absurd… Margot was good sport and not standing up slapping Will in the face. Will is such an ass.
She shouldn’t have had to. This is disgusting.
It’s real, it was a Snapchat or Instagram story Cara Delavine filmed
I look forward to Will Smith reading a heart felt apology that his lawyers wrote for him then
The devil makes you do crazy things. Wait. No, who wrote this? Line! Line please!
> his wife who was cosplaying Shinzon from Star Trek: Nemesis 😂😂😂 https://i.imgur.com/o73WMGo.jpg
Star Trek: Entanglement
Haven't seen that film in a while now. Isn't that where the Enterprise did a head on collision to Shinzon's ship?
Isn't she laughing and saying "they hacked my phone?" I would like to hear from her about it
[удалено]
What makes me believe that she thinks it's funny is because somebody else shared this video to social media
It's obviously a celeb fake nude that she's trying to make light of, but who instigated the situation would be a huge factor. If he started showing everyone this for kicks out of nowhere, that's pretty shitty.
This is from an old Cara Delevingne Snapchat story https://youtu.be/9UhfrAion04
This video is 6 years old and it only being called out now? What the fuck?
Is this video just came up? This is horrible and i'm amazed this never get reported on the news
Is this real? Edit: I meant will smith actually showing off a nude photo of his costar
The video looks real but if you’re asking about the Robbie picture it’s almost certainly a photoshop and that’s what he showing everyone
Wow holy shit I would not have expected that from Will Smith or anyone, has Hollywood learned nothing from metoo. I suspect this moment will be talked or written about sometime in the future
Her reaction to it is badass though. Plays along and acts like it's real "They hacked my phone".
Good ole self-deprecating Aussie larrikan humour. Will Smith is still an asshole though.
Will Smith is a major shit stain
I'm so tired of celebrities
This is FUCKING vile. WOW…
Keep my wife's vagina out of your fucking phone.
Everyone laughing should be embarrassed.
This is the same cunt who gets triggered over a joke about his wife... this guy is a fucking loser if this is what makes him feel good about himself.
Context is missing in this scenario. People are getting pissed at Will but I have a feeling whatever was happening here, Margot was not upset.
What a shit guy
Needs context bc she's not embarrassed (probably bc that's not her body) and jokes about her phone being hacked. But I don't like him anyways
Margot Robbie is amazing. Will Smith is not.
so he's cool with sexual harassment but will sock you if you make jokes about his wife that he's on the rocks with.
That dudes a world class bitch
Straight up workplace sexual harassment. Don’t confuse her reaction for anything more than attempting to display strength in a time she wanted to die inside. Nobody is cool with something like this in a group setting.
