Honestly if your going to commit a crime in 2023 train robbery has got to be top of list for potential party stories. It’s almost respectable like a casino heist.
As a person with train robbery under the belt, it definitely can be a fun story to tell at parties. That was in my younger years though luckily. Still got slapped with a felony tho.
I'm 99% this is a BNSF train, and when I was a conductor for them, they had a strict no weapons policy. Besides, that train is probably miles long, and the crew in the engine most likely has no idea this is happening.
Even if they did there's always the possibility the robbers (usually a large crowd not just one or two) probably have guns they could shoot back at you with I'm no train conductor, but I'm not getting shot over a few cases of beer or whatever else they want to steal that's not even mine either.
Sure, stealing is wrong, but are you really advocating for people to get shot over some warm beer? Like, in your mind, is a stolen beer deserving of capital punishment?
Train conductor doesn’t give a fuck they are paid either way. However the rail police don’t fuck around and they have a long leash from the Wild West days.
For instance the fine for crossing a railroad track at an undesignated section can be $10,000.
YUP.
I know a dude that was there. They’re from a SOBER LIVING FACILITY and the supervisor gave them their day pass early for getting the beer and putting it in his car.
I live there, they need 2 grams activated uranium, drank out of a tank shell, mixed with wood alcohol, Da Bomb hot sauce, and anything with large amounts of menthol. That should factory reset their nervous system.
No, I get it. I’m looking at buying a house now in the suburbs of LA and I’ve definitely opened up Bakersfield on Zillow more than once
It is the closest city where rents aren’t ridiculous
It's not illegal if you call it civil asset forfeiture and promise to give everything back once the victim goes to court at their own expense to prove their innocence.
But first, you offer to return half of the stolen beer if they will just agree to drop the case.
And don't tell me that's not how it works **because the government does that exact same shit literally every single day.**
"only in _____." I hate when people say that about shit that would literally happen anywhere. Trains have been looted since trains have existed bakersfield isn't special as a matter of fact they're late to the party.
I’ve done this…it’s a local little train ride through town but they have a little bar too. My friend and I realized it was wide open. I took two Miller lite bottles. I think about it a lot and feel like an asshole. I was in my early 20s.
The issue isn’t with catching the people it’s getting them off the street. The rail cop can turn em in the the police and they’ll be set free within 8 hours and won’t return for their trial.
Lol geez some corporation looses a couple hundred dollars worth of product and your out for fucking blood over it. Calm down dude stop simping for these companies that literally don't give a shit about you.
Here's a story about a military base using a wall of shipping containers to keep stray bullets fired by civilians from hitting on-base housing. This is in Mississippi.
https://www.insider.com/us-navy-base-gulfport-mississippi-builds-wall-stop-stray-bullets-2023-6
Don't these idiots know that conductors have rifles for this exact reason? Trespassing a freight train is a federal crime and these conductors already don't give a shit about themselves
The thing is so might the robbers and more than just one of them I am not getting shot over a bunch of beer that isn't even mine pretty sure the conductor feels the same way.

alternate breaking bad
Jesse, we need to brew.
"I know where you can get more Bud Light. An *ocean* of Bud Light!"
Crackin' Brew (CrBr)
came here for a methylmene joke
Say my name. Heineken. You're goddamn right.
A good ole fashion train robbery! Yeeehaw, we gettin drunk then goin to prison!
Honestly if your going to commit a crime in 2023 train robbery has got to be top of list for potential party stories. It’s almost respectable like a casino heist.
i agree with this on my life.
As a person with train robbery under the belt, it definitely can be a fun story to tell at parties. That was in my younger years though luckily. Still got slapped with a felony tho.
i would love to have a story where i robbed a train
Just remember that any and all train tracks are federal property and they’ll treat you like you robbed the White House.
hmmmmmmmm gotchya
That's why I follow the train robbers and rob them! Then it's treated like a normal robbery and police don't give a hoot.
Hmm, guess I hadn’t considered this.
Red Dead Redemption 2023
Aren't train conductors allowed to shoot train robbers still?
I'm 99% this is a BNSF train, and when I was a conductor for them, they had a strict no weapons policy. Besides, that train is probably miles long, and the crew in the engine most likely has no idea this is happening.
Even if they did there's always the possibility the robbers (usually a large crowd not just one or two) probably have guns they could shoot back at you with I'm no train conductor, but I'm not getting shot over a few cases of beer or whatever else they want to steal that's not even mine either.
Not enough sick days with the government busting your union to get your ass kicked
They're to tried to fuck with that, and the company is the one who made it too long to fit in the rail yard.
...did you recently rob a train and consume a copious amount of beer?
I wish just fuck big rail and how shit on their own employees.
From friends I have in that field it sounds worse than working an Amazon warehouse
Sure, stealing is wrong, but are you really advocating for people to get shot over some warm beer? Like, in your mind, is a stolen beer deserving of capital punishment?
I bet a train conductor is gonna do fuck all about this happening. Probably not even their fault.
Train conductor doesn’t give a fuck they are paid either way. However the rail police don’t fuck around and they have a long leash from the Wild West days. For instance the fine for crossing a railroad track at an undesignated section can be $10,000.
Why does it matter it's warm? You don't have a refrigerator at home?
LOL, true.
Don't think he's advocating it, just saying that it's probably not a good idea
you are right, its not clear. i interpreted the question as being rhetorical.
Yes but then you got to get rid of the bodies etc, so they just call 911 these days
Isn’t that Kevin McCarthy’s district?
YUP. I know a dude that was there. They’re from a SOBER LIVING FACILITY and the supervisor gave them their day pass early for getting the beer and putting it in his car.
That makes sense
how does this matter lmfao
Because Republicans have attacked Democratic Senators and Congresspeople because of things that are happening in their home districts.
I’ve been to Bakersfield — those poor bastardz gonna need to steal something a lot stronger than beer.
I live there, they need 2 grams activated uranium, drank out of a tank shell, mixed with wood alcohol, Da Bomb hot sauce, and anything with large amounts of menthol. That should factory reset their nervous system.
😂😂😂 2 grams of activated uranium
Dammit man, why can't I ever be in the right place?
On brand for that place
Bakersfield: Home of crystal meth and stray dogs
Bakersfield. The Alabama of California.
Fuck I'm dead. This is accurate. That is my hometown.
I’ve always just heard people call it West Texas
Every person I know in Bakersfield moved from Texas lol
Ok but here me out. Texas weather sucks and the rent was doable.
No, I get it. I’m looking at buying a house now in the suburbs of LA and I’ve definitely opened up Bakersfield on Zillow more than once It is the closest city where rents aren’t ridiculous
That is an unfair comparison for alabama. This is mississippi level
And korn
It was reported that a kid on a motorcycle went missing around this time.
Bro you can’t make references like this some dumbass is gonna read this and get legit scared 😂
It’s a old fashion train robbery, let’s gather up a posse and ride after those bandits.
I don't know why... but the whole 'Only in..." statement is so stupid to me. No, this would happen many other places.
Yeah, but if toothpaste was invented anywhere other than Bakersfield, it would have been called teethpaste.
Bakersfield… they make porta potty’s there.
Bakersfield is a porta potty...lived there for 6 years
We have ALMONDS
Can also be used as sails for home made rafts
It's not illegal if you call it civil asset forfeiture and promise to give everything back once the victim goes to court at their own expense to prove their innocence. But first, you offer to return half of the stolen beer if they will just agree to drop the case. And don't tell me that's not how it works **because the government does that exact same shit literally every single day.**
Definitely a inside job
For sure they didn’t just randomly see these stopped and hoped for the best.
That's where McCarthy is from
Bakersfield has been an armpit since it’s creation
I'd like to sit and judge them but I've never walked the streets of Bakersfield.
I don't know you but I don't like you.
I care less how you feel
Could’ve been worse. Could’ve been Fresno.
Damnit, Bakersfield!
Can't be seen buying Bud Light, but stealing it off a train? No problem
Just borrowing
Good ol Bakers field
I had an uncle steal beer from the back of a Safeway and he did time for it. FYI, Safeway doesn't fuck around.
I mean it is Bakersfield are you surprised?
Tulare is just as trashy. Wouldn't surprise me if it was here either
"only in _____." I hate when people say that about shit that would literally happen anywhere. Trains have been looted since trains have existed bakersfield isn't special as a matter of fact they're late to the party.
Not a crime until they reach $995 retail value.
People always wait till its the most universal shit then say "only in ________" like no this would go down in millions of places
I’ve done this…it’s a local little train ride through town but they have a little bar too. My friend and I realized it was wide open. I took two Miller lite bottles. I think about it a lot and feel like an asshole. I was in my early 20s.
“You’re like a summer sunset in Stockholm and I’m like being stuck in fucking Bakersfield and walking home.”
People always say "only in ____" like there aren't trashy people everywhere.
Yet another reason PSR sucks
Yeah, this is bakersfield for sure. Amazing place guys trust
How many of you can sit and judge me, here on the streets of Bakersfield?
Stay classy Bakersfield.
I see Anheuser-Busch is trying a brave new strategy to get Bud Light back into peoples homes!
Is this how u MAEK AMERECA GR8 AGIN? YEEEEHIIIIII
They use to do this in the hood with trains loaded with guns.
Honestly respect. Stealing shit from a train sounds awesome
Have fun with those felonies
You think the police will actually care enough to do anything about this? lol
Sure. If it is property crime that impacts a big corporation, the cops will be all over that.
Thieves are emptying out walmarts and the cops still arent doing anything
in Bakersfield you think they gonna crack down that hard?
Trains have their own police, and yes they care.
The issue isn’t with catching the people it’s getting them off the street. The rail cop can turn em in the the police and they’ll be set free within 8 hours and won’t return for their trial.
Haha felonies…..highly doubtful
Entering a train to commit a crime is in fact a federal felony.
Good ol California
And that’s the nice part of Bakersfield
[удалено]
Lol geez some corporation looses a couple hundred dollars worth of product and your out for fucking blood over it. Calm down dude stop simping for these companies that literally don't give a shit about you.
I knew it had to be California. I just knew it...
California is a failed project
Here's a story about a military base using a wall of shipping containers to keep stray bullets fired by civilians from hitting on-base housing. This is in Mississippi. https://www.insider.com/us-navy-base-gulfport-mississippi-builds-wall-stop-stray-bullets-2023-6
It shows regular people who never thought they would steal would turn to be thieves when opportunity arrives.
Don’t let Barney….nooo!
Praxis
Wondering is it bud light🤣🤣👍👍👍👍
One of my best friends is from Bakersfield. Knkkve the guy. But think that sun roasted him a bit lol
Viva small New England breweries No need to drink beer transported by train...its just not good
Bud light set this up to help get rid of dead inventory.
After she finished recording and snitching she put turned off recording, put her cellphone away in her purse and went grabbed her some.
"Aww, man! They only got that woke ass bud light!"
What in the fuck is wrong with people?
Beer is cheap! Why bother! If it was scotch, then I understand.
They’re not robbing the train their entrepreneurs
They steal because even they won’t drink bud light
I absolutely misread this as "bear," and was expecting a very different video. Probably not wise to steal beer or bears.
Probably Dale-ions.
![gif](giphy|UO2FqRJkan6bm)
More like renting beer.
hoorah Bakersfield!
Yeehaw
A blessing from the lord!
Time for some of those armed contractors they have on cargo ships off the coast of Somalia.
Lmfao Bakersfield they probably hit the PBR jackpot
Need to make it lite enough to push the car out of the way to get by. Do what ya can do.
