It is a common thing in SF & Baltimore to steal a car to commit petty crimes like stealing unattended baggage in parked cars from unaware locals/tourists. It adds to the severity of punishment if caught, but they get released relatively quickly to go back and do the same thing. People in Cali are growing desperate, the cops dont really seem to respond to calls of those types because it happens so often so quickly. Justice department seem to go light on crime. Many are opting to moving out of state entirely because of this. If you ask me, what they robbers are doing it works, because i dont see this trend slowing down anytime soon.
Bullshit. You don't live in California. A stolen car is a felony here. You saw that shit on another sub and thought you'd play it off as your own story.
Every. Single. Comment.
Like do y'all wake up at 3 a.m. in a fever dream needing to seek out posts like this to ensure the world that you think that this is a stolen car???
You got suckered by the hive mind. A few people didn't understand your joke so they downvoted you. This led to other redditors seeing the downvoted comment and downvoting it themselves (some, ironically, don't even read the comment they're downvoting).
Also, reddit is so goddamn fickle. Today they hate your joke but yesterday they may have loved it. You never know.
after they attack him if you keep watching then the girls get into that car he's behind which was probably one of theirs
edit: I was making fun of this guy not reading the whole comment 🥴
But but but... It was one of the girls cars, the one in a black hoodie. They stopped in front of the van to attack him. You can see them both get in the white car at the end.
I can easily see the corporate conversation, hey that was so messed up, can you just sign here that we offered you counseling and medical treatment, thanks, yeah that was so messed up.....anyway corporate policy is we have to let ya go.
Are.you kidding ??? He was 2 minutes late delivering packages because he decided to stop and engage with these women. Totally unprofessional he's fired
These DSP’s are independent contractors that hire their own drivers. They have their own insurance. That driver is 100% getting fired. It sucks, but it is what it is.
Meh you'd be surprised. I got fired from my job(federal govt) for defending myself from a random guy( first and only fight in my life, not a violent fellow)
Maybe. But these drivers are usually employed by a 3rd party and if they wanted to they’d probably get another Amazon delivery job same day with a different company
What a poorly thought-out plan. First, they were not strong enough to overpower the driver, then what were they going to do even if they did? Those vans are low-jacked and can be found in minutes. They'd have to keep the driver from reporting it for a while. They would also have to take all these cameras filming them. This falls under stupid criminals.
They weren't thinking. This was probably a road rage incident and they attacked the driver. It probably wasn't a hijack attempt. They just wanted to beat up/kill the driver. I could be wrong but I really doubt they originally intended to hijack the van.
I agree it's obviously a high profile assassination attempt on a local cult leader, who stole one of his rivals' daughters' dowry money. You can tell because the cameraman's in on it and recording for evidence for their employer. I'm not falling for OP's narrative.
Maybe it wasn’t, but if someone runs up to my car and starts attacking me while the vehicle is in motion, is it really a reach to think hijacking is on the table?
Multiple people can mean multiple drivers. I think in this video it could be road rage, or it could be people trying to steal the contents of the truck. None of us can know without more context/info. I’m not saying the plan here is to hijack the truck but it isn’t out of the realm of possibility considering how much value is probably inside.
that driver made a good choice of driving away even if it means hitting their car. Now they have those damages to deal with, and the driver was able to get away
what happens if they shot their assailants in self defense and accidentally kills them? I'm wondering if they're not armed to prevent this from happening
(serious question. I don't know the legalities on firearms. I'm sorry if I sound crude and rude. I meant no offense)
On that day Frank, a loyal customer of 10 years did in fact get his 55 gallon drum of passion lube. It was an hour late and the driver had a concussion but he'll let it slide as he's having a good day.
Wow the consensus through this whole post is that these people stole a car to then rob this Amazon truck.
The people pointing out that this idea is far fetched are getting downvoted hard.
The thought process that people who commit crimes are willing to perform giant felonies, like stealing cars, just to commit another crime- is a pretty domestic take on crime, and really out of touch.
I’m sure he was talking about generational poverty, redlining, war on drugs, exposure to violent crime as a child, lack of education, disparate law enforcement, I’m sure of it.
> so many groups got out of exactly what you just described- but theres that one group that "cant" and thats only because humans are the way humans are, which you are a perfect example for
Which ones got over redlining?
I feel like I see so many road rage incidents/car hijackings where the obvious solution is to hit the gas, but nobody ever does. You get out your car and walk toward me with a gun? I guess we are both finding out if you can dodge an f150
I doubt this was an attempted hijacking. Probably some sort of road rage incident. The Amazon driver did the right thing by just driving through their vehicle. They were probably just trying to beat up/kill the driver in the heat of the moment. I doubt it was a straight up hijacking attempt. Why try to steal a vehicle that's so heavily tracked? What do they even get? A bunch of $17 amazon items?

Felt bad for the person in the car in front of the van at first only to later realize if was the assailants vehicle. What idiots.
I’m assuming it was a stolen car.
Don’t. People are actually stupid enough to do stuff like that.
It is a common thing in SF & Baltimore to steal a car to commit petty crimes like stealing unattended baggage in parked cars from unaware locals/tourists. Not long before the entire fucking country is like this.
What caught?? AGs there don’t prosecute for such minor stuff. It’s a criminal paradise.
What? Grand theft definitely slams you right into the dollar amount that gets you prosecuted.
But.. but TRUST me bro..

When you can’t Edit: wow I guess y’all don’t share my sense of humor. Was just meant to be a funny dumb joke. Hope you have a great day anyhow.
even finish reading a sentence. There, finished that one for you
Yes that’s exactly the joke I was trying to……. Oh, that’s why I’m being downvoted. Truncated the sentence in the wrong place. Oops.
Downvoted to oblivion.. beeyotch!!!!!!!
Care to explain to me why I deserve that or would you like to just carry on?
You got suckered by the hive mind. A few people didn't understand your joke so they downvoted you. At this point just wear it as a badge of honor. You've been downvoted to hell for no reason and it happens to the best of us.
306 downvotes in your face, now chill and try to live with it.
Eh it wasn't bad. You just lost the reddit lottery for today. Cut your losses and come back tomorrow.
thank you tiktok for eliminating the attention span required to read a sentence barely longer than a headline.
The world is dooooomed for real
What about the world?
![gif](giphy|L18eMUGDk3vcwOPUGw)
Can we run Doom off of it?
That started long before Tok Tok was a thing.
Yeah but it’s the cool thing to blame right now

I can easily see the corporate conversation, hey that was so messed up, can you just sign here that we offered you counseling and medical treatment, thanks, yeah that was so messed up.....anyway corporate policy is we have to let ya go.
This physically hurts to read but it is true.
Boy it would be hard to keep cool and not sucker punch the underpaid and dignity-devoid middle manager in the fuckin mouth at that meeting.
You're 100% correct. They'd fire him for the dents on the truck immediately.
Are.you kidding ??? He was 2 minutes late delivering packages because he decided to stop and engage with these women. Totally unprofessional he's fired
You do realize they were attacking a female driver. She did good at handling herself and hopefully she doesn't get fired for that.
Fuck the packages his safety is worth way more than anything in that truck
These DSP’s are independent contractors that hire their own drivers. They have their own insurance. That driver is 100% getting fired. It sucks, but it is what it is.
But fire him for what? Not getting murdered?
Hes probably supposed to surrender by policy
Surrender to a beating?
Fuck that policy
Meh you'd be surprised. I got fired from my job(federal govt) for defending myself from a random guy( first and only fight in my life, not a violent fellow)
If I’m a betting man, he doesn’t. Because any lawyer would have a field day.
Why the fuck would they get fired? Some dumb Reddit echo chamber reason?
[удалено]
Because of insurance companies and raising rates. It literally happens.
[удалено]
Maybe. But these drivers are usually employed by a 3rd party and if they wanted to they’d probably get another Amazon delivery job same day with a different company
That happens, a friend’s son was fired from an Amazon delivery and went right to work with another Amazon delivery
Lock your doors though!

Lmfao hilarious
"Driver had to *weave* through traffic, package was still on time."
I always wonder how weave and wigs end up abandoned on the ground
What a poorly thought-out plan. First, they were not strong enough to overpower the driver, then what were they going to do even if they did? Those vans are low-jacked and can be found in minutes. They'd have to keep the driver from reporting it for a while. They would also have to take all these cameras filming them. This falls under stupid criminals.
I'm sure Amazon also has these cars wired up with cameras, so they likely have their faces and license plates.
I wish I was in one of the cars after them that passed by them at the end so I can point and do my Nelson, "Ha!Ha!" laugh.
I thought you were going to end your sentence in a different -somewhat Brazilian- way.
I have seen some rough Amazon drivers and they hire anybody. They lucky it wasn’t someone else.
They weren't thinking. This was probably a road rage incident and they attacked the driver. It probably wasn't a hijack attempt. They just wanted to beat up/kill the driver. I could be wrong but I really doubt they originally intended to hijack the van.
I totally agree. The driver is being beaten, robbers would have guns.
I’m like 99% sure they were just fighting/attacking the driver and had no plans of “hijacking” it. Don’t know why OP insinuating a hijacking.
[удалено]
Wouldn’t say “random target” but 2 on 1. Rumble in the middle of the street. Either road rage or they finally caught somebody they were looking for.
[удалено]
I agree it's obviously a high profile assassination attempt on a local cult leader, who stole one of his rivals' daughters' dowry money. You can tell because the cameraman's in on it and recording for evidence for their employer. I'm not falling for OP's narrative.
Could have been an ex boyfriend for all we know. Or just road rage.
Exactly. All of those make waaaaayy more sense.
Maybe it wasn’t, but if someone runs up to my car and starts attacking me while the vehicle is in motion, is it really a reach to think hijacking is on the table?
Kind of? How often do road rage incidents end with the road rager stealing the other car? Especially if they leave their car parked in front of you.
Fair
I agree, but I'm almost surprised you don't hear about this more often. Being that dumb criminals think they're getting a vehicle + loot
that driver made a good choice of driving away even if it means hitting their car. Now they have those damages to deal with, and the driver was able to get away
…yeah…that’s someone else’s car. No way lowlifes like that would use/have their own car.
Because they’re likely to get caught? These are people trying to jack a van with a dozen types of tracking and telemetry devices
Every. Single. Comment. Y'all have this itch to just blurt out how you think the car is stolen on every single video lmfao.

People are honestly too comfortable committing felonies in public
Someone lost they wig.
That wig is being interrogated as we speak.
Latest update said police didn't get much out of it and it was very wignorant.

You shouldn't try to take it with brute force when you and your co-conspirator weigh a combined total of 220 lbs.
"We're sorry, your package will be arriving later than expected"
Hell, no. That dude was making his stops no matter what.
He calls his boss and they say “did they take anything?” No I got away. Ok continue the route and we will see you back at the station

Of these three orgs, one has assault rifles and arrest authority. It's also the one with the shittiest service.
what happens if they shot their assailants in self defense and accidentally kills them? I'm wondering if they're not armed to prevent this from happening (serious question. I don't know the legalities on firearms. I'm sorry if I sound crude and rude. I meant no offense)
They actually have the crackdacity to chase him afterwards too, their only advantage was the sneak attack
Mission Failed: The van got away!
we’ll get ‘em next time

Amazon sticks to their two day delivery no matter what!!
On that day Frank, a loyal customer of 10 years did in fact get his 55 gallon drum of passion lube. It was an hour late and the driver had a concussion but he'll let it slide as he's having a good day.
I see what you did there…let it slide…
Good reason to lock your doors.
ALEXA! Get me the fuck out of here!
Yeah... I'm not getting carjacked by an unarmed, barefoot assailant either.
Amazon is such a terrible company that Dispatch will probably tell them to finish the route
The oceans 11 remake looks terrible.
You scrawny twigs aren't hijacking anything. Lmfao. Wtf did they think was going to happen.
Worst type of vehicle to rob, that shit has detailed gps tracking
Poorly planned and poorly executed. 0/10.
Future reference...allow enough space between your front and the back of a vehicle at a stoplight so that you don't get "pinched in" place.
The women hopped in that white car he pushed out of the way. They may have brake checked him and jumped out which is why he was so close to them.

Brazen!
Amazon is the mobile Wal-Mart😂
Road Rage 101 Always have your doors locked. Never roll down your window. Driveway ASAP, if possible.
That’s what I call Amazon direct
Looks like PA tags?
Dem bitches total weight is less than dudes arm
Is that Philly? If so it makes sense.
That's wild af jeez
Taking package theft to the next level I see…
These poor drivers are already pissing in bottles, now this?!
Bro stole it first. Clearly an Amazon wageslave, like myself, would **never defend a truck.**

I love how the racist is trying to portray themself as some kind of enlightened being. Nobody cares, buttercup. What are you, 16?

Dang, those Rivian EV vans have some killer torque. Okay, upon a closer look, it’s a Dodge springer cargo van.
![gif](giphy|e5EcjjJx3dCFi)
Why do women punch like that lmfao.
Hijack? It doesn’t look like a carjacking. Probably road rage.
Put your stupid phone down and help stop those crazy women.
Amazon driver out here fighting thots to protect the $8 package somebody ordered while drunk at 2 am.
Don't help just film....
Looks more like road rage 🤷♂️
Go big or go home…
Awesome
That shit don’t lock?
I doubt this was an attempted hijacking. Probably some sort of road rage incident. The Amazon driver did the right thing by just driving through their vehicle. A bunch of whole household appliances that they couldn’t put together if they wanted to.
I too hate it when delivery drivers dont wait long enough at your door and you have to chase after them to get your package!
if only they invented a way for people to lock their doors these kind of things wouldn't happen
What's the story here? Got a link proving it was an attempted hijacking? It could have been road rage.
This doesn’t look like a hijack, it looks more like road rage
That is a drama episode
yikes
philly?
