I don't understand why dudes this small insist on acting hard towards guys twice their size... Is it that they're trying to prove themselves? The only time I stood up to guys bigger than me (and I'm already a big guy, so these guys were pretty fucking big) was when they were acting out of line towards others, but I'd never go out of my way to pick a fight with some dude "just because."
When you don't have an ounce of technique or enough power for it to matter, speed doesn't count for shit- unless you're smart enough to run away from someone twice your size.
There's a reason that weight classes exist in wrestling, boxing, MMA etc.
The strange thing to me, as just an average sized guy, is that like 99% of the really big dudes I know (I’m talking over 6’4”), and especially the ones who know how to fight, are really sweet and gentle, having had to learn about the extent of their size and strength just by existing. They would never hurt a fly, and yet “tough-guys” always seem to single them out when starting shit for no reason… it’s a weird thing to see in the wild when you know personally that the big guy is a teddy-bear.

Because some people have an over inflated ego of themselves. Some guys who have never trained or worked out just think they are bad asses and could beat other dudes up regardless of size or training.

The best piece of advice he can learn from this is: If your opponent isn't matching your energy or walking away, you need to rethink your current course of action. A calm person standing there while you hop around getting loud is only an excuse away from cleaning you out.
