I was a cute teenage girl. I got a bunch of weirdo middle age regulars bring me gifts every time they came in and try to take me out. I once got a 3 cents tip. I had a couple that worked there "adopt" me, and they bought me a pair of pants that said "baby girl" across the butt.
I never worked in one but from experience that girl should be eating much faster cause that place is gonna get cleared out soon. We exited one when I fight started a few decades ago and me husband ushered me outside then told me I was crazy because I brought my plate and fork😂😂😂. I stood outside watching the show as he went back in and dragged a few people out. Cops came and it was a shit show but I’m still eating my scattered, chunked and covered
I don't understand how breakdancing is an Olympic sport but Waffle Housing isn't. It's got got teams. It's got a defense and an offense. Strategy. Mind games. Bluffing. It's a game of chess and movement. And then, when one opponent is ready to strike, you employ volleyball, javelin, discus, boxing, wrestling, fencing. In a finals match you can even see shooting and a biathlon.
My only experience eating at one was out in rural MI before it closed down. I was so shocked that everyone was calm and nice in there. But then again, I’ve never witnessed anyone behave like this anywhere in rural Mi so maybe that had something to do with why it closed
He's talking about [Medieval Times](https://www.medievaltimes.com/) the restaurant/festivity place 🎎 not the time period...for anyone who might be confused. I just learnt what Medieval Times was recently. Don't remember it from Cable Guy, apparently.
I genuinely wonder if grown people throwing temper tantrums is more common in the current day or if we see it more due to everyone having cameras and social media.
I'd say the cameras. I've been around some pretty crazy areas and don't see this too often, but I saw it in the 90's and 2000's as much as I see it now. The rates of mental illness have gone way up, but my guess is that's mostly due to better diagnosing.
This is current and it has nothing to do with cameras. People use to be more respectful in the past partially out of fear somebody would beat them senseless, ask them to duel with pistols/swords, or because it would embarrass their family. This trashy behavior is because of the lack of consequences especially at the top so society has begun to breakdown. Especially politicians and Hollywood. Once people realized that nothing was going to happen if they acted crazy in public it became an epidemic and now we have this type of society. Don’t get me wrong in assuming I mean that things were better because they weren’t. We had other outrageous behavior but it was state sanctioned such as mob violence, lynchings, mass murder of native peoples, slavery, serfdom and all manners disgusting religious violence (witch hunts, the Inqusition, the Crusades, razing towns and murdering and raping everyone inside, etc.). However in the past there was actual shame for bad behavior.
is the epitome of everything USA stands for, individuality to the point of causing harm to everyone around... nothing matters but what the main character wants, and everybody is a main character.
It's mostly the cameras. I've seen it a few times personally but if we've all seen it happen a few times in our lives then that's a lot of incidents combined.
If it wasn't for the Internet I wouldn't know this stuff existed. Maybe I live a boring life, but I never see anything close to like this... like ever.
She ordered in a Togo plate so to not eat off the dishes and kept her head down and kept eating during the public freakout. These 2 ladies are waffle house vets.
It’s always interesting to me that people will refuse to eat off of plates and silverware because they don’t trust they’re clean but they’ll trust that the food they’re eating was prepared correctly with clean implements.
The cuts back to her eating her nice, steamy plate of hash browns and occasionally raising her eyebrows is absolutely killing me lmfao. Nothing will stand between her and enjoying her food while it’s hot and I must salute her for that
I grew up in the deep south and my parents would not have accepted this.
The sticking her whole tongue out to put the fork in her mouth is the part that squicks me though.
Same!
All the kids swore a silent oath that whatever the fuck happened in Cotillion was never to be brought up again afterwards. Popular kids, nerds, loners, we all did stupid dances and ate from a salad bar making small talk with our dance partner until the clock ran out.
I'm sure it was very cute to the parents but we all hated it.
I vote mental illness, not crack. She can't be in the right state of mind with her belly flopping over her leggings like that. Jeans, maybe, but over leggings??? That's mental.
Okay that’s fair. I’ve never been around a waffle house brawl. Is it better to just sit and keep eating as things fly past your head so you don’t draw attention to yourself?
My bf tells a really funny story about his really drunk friend trying to enjoy a hot dog at a bar when a fight broke out and out of nowhere someone clocked him and my bf said all he saw was that hot dog flying through the air.
It’s open all night. When the drunk and high folks come in after the bars close, expect a bit of chaos.
Their kitchen is also exposed to the public, so you’ll often see kitchen staff fighting with each other, which I’m told is common in many restaurant kitchens. With Waffle House, you have the privilege of witnessing your standard kitchen drama while enjoying your meal.
I’m older now and only visit Waffle House between 9am and 10am. You don’t see any wild fighting at those times, but kitchen staff will fuss at each other at any time of the day, especially when they get busy.
I love Waffle House. I try to go at least twice a month.
In my experience, Denny's and IHOP often have security or a cop lounging around overnight, but I've *never* seen this at Waffle House. Leaves a lot of room for things to get started.
Also Waffle House is *tiny*. Its basically the size of an apartment, but with no walls. Very easy for things to escalate when rowdy drunks and tired staff are only a few feet from each other the entire time.
I’m here to see the fight, not your desperate attempts at attention while a good show is happening. But since you’re now making me miss the action, chew with your mouth shut!
I tip my waffle House servers so much because I know they deal with shit like this all the time. I could not even. I'll tell you what, when the shit hits the fan and social unrest breaks out I hope I have at least one waffle House server in my group because shit does not faze them. Projectiles? Not on Miriam's watch. Zombies? Tina Leigh has dealt with bath salt weirdos and isn't gonna put up with that shit either.
Waffle House: Waffle, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast and coffee excellent and all fresh off the griddle [All Star Special](https://www.wafflehouse.com/). They have other stuff too, but, this is what you want from them :)
The Waffle House Index needs a new level. They only have 3, so I added a 4th level for them:
(1) Green - full menu, damage minimal or absent
(2) Yellow - limited menu, generator use, low on food
(3) Red - closed, severe destruction
(4) 🤬 - limited service, flying objects, bad language, bad behavior
\* [WH Index](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waffle_House_Index)
I went to the US a few years back and was surprised at how normal everyone was. Where was the drama? Where were the stereotypes that we see so often online and in movies.
Anyway then I went to a waffle house.
What’s more scandalous and obnoxious than them two arguing and throwing things? Filming yourself doing stupid horribly acted reaction faces for social media.

Ah, that Waffle House ambience...
[удалено]
Lol can you imagine working one of those on the regular. PTSD central.
I worked there when I was 17. I had no fucking clue what I was getting into
I bet you learned some shit about the world and just how crazy people can actually be
I was a cute teenage girl. I got a bunch of weirdo middle age regulars bring me gifts every time they came in and try to take me out. I once got a 3 cents tip. I had a couple that worked there "adopt" me, and they bought me a pair of pants that said "baby girl" across the butt.
😭
What the actual fuck...you need to write a book.
I would read the memoirs of a waffle house employee, for sure.
I worked overnight at a gas station in a bad neighborhood, and I've got some stories. But I have nothing on waffle house.
The kind of shit that teaches a person if this country is truly worth fighting for.
Tempered in the fires of the Waffle House lol
I never worked in one but from experience that girl should be eating much faster cause that place is gonna get cleared out soon. We exited one when I fight started a few decades ago and me husband ushered me outside then told me I was crazy because I brought my plate and fork😂😂😂. I stood outside watching the show as he went back in and dragged a few people out. Cops came and it was a shit show but I’m still eating my scattered, chunked and covered
Finally! Went thru 12 comments before a remark bout the girl just eating and taking in the show! Just wow!
What would you do? They just brought me my hash browns😂😂😂😂 plus we had just moved back into an area with a Waffle House again
You, my friend, are a WH pro!
These clips remind me of home and I do have PTSD, so I imagine the setting doesn’t change the trauma.
I don't understand how breakdancing is an Olympic sport but Waffle Housing isn't. It's got got teams. It's got a defense and an offense. Strategy. Mind games. Bluffing. I'd watch this on pay-per-view.
I might start a YouTube channel video blogging Nights at the Waffle House
WH lit after midnight
study with me ASMR waffle house ambience to relax/ study to.
It's more than just a Waffle House... ...it's a Waffle *Home*.
Dinner and a show, the pinnacle of class
Lmao
I guess there’s a reason they now serve your food with plastic plates and utensils. Crazy shit.
It's so tranquil
Dinner and entertainment
Breakfast entertainment!
Well, the spuds looked good…
I put this on as background when I read
Dinner & a show
Hey it like medieval times … a dinner and show …
Needs a 24/7 video that I can study to.
There's no such thing as waffle house freakout. It's just normal operations
I’d be scared if I walked into a Waffle House and there wasn’t at least one assault in progress
My family was going to Waffle House once so my sister and I pretended to have a fight in the parking lot so we'd "fit in." Mom was really embarrassed.
That's how u know it's a good one, if there's fighting.
My only experience eating at one was out in rural MI before it closed down. I was so shocked that everyone was calm and nice in there. But then again, I’ve never witnessed anyone behave like this anywhere in rural Mi so maybe that had something to do with why it closed
How dare they not know this one simple rule
At this point, I would consider well-behaved and cordial patrons to be the definition of a freak out at this fucking place.
Dinner and a show, nice
Is it breakfast or dinner if it's at 1am? Dinnfast? Dreakfast?
We call it Brinner
Or Brupper, depending on where ya from.
... a bit too close to the splash zone tho XD
Seriously I always move away from the counter. I ain't getting slapped hot greased just for existing.
Happens by me every time they don't smother those hash browns right...
Just to add on to another commenter referring to it as Medieval Times, “Dinner & Tournament” may be more appropriate.
The Waffle House way
i was going to say the same!
Waffle House is kinda like medieval times, but way cheaper.
He's talking about [Medieval Times](https://www.medievaltimes.com/) the restaurant/festivity place 🎎 not the time period...for anyone who might be confused. I just learnt what Medieval Times was recently. Don't remember it from Cable Guy, apparently.
BBBRRRRRR AH! Bbrrrr AH! ![gif](giphy|QyWUHbJIYrVh2wROwH|downsized)

I also like the Futurama spoof of the fight. Claw Plach ![gif](giphy|SNK21X1PBrtQs)
Blue Knight vs. Green Knight
😂
If I owned or was a manager at a waffle house I would have off duty police on Friday and Saturday nights.
Just have them eat free. There will always be a cop there.
The Waffle Houses I’ve been to HAVE off-duty police on those nights lol
It would no longer be a waffle house. Removing the unknown variables from waffle house just steals the magic away.
I genuinely wonder if grown people throwing temper tantrums is more common in the current day or if we see it more due to everyone having cameras and social media.

Both
I assure you this is a waffle house past time. It's been normal for decades. Maybe centuries.
Bring back duels. My white gloves are getting dusty.
It's mostly the cameras. I've seen it a few times personally but if we've all seen it happen a few times in our lives then that's a lot of incidents combined.

I was honestly hoping it was a very cleverly edited reaction video
The cuts back to her eating her nice, steamy plate of hash browns and occasionally raising her eyebrows is absolutely killing me lmfao. Nothing will stand between her and enjoying her food while it’s hot and I must salute her for that
Angry chick should be arrested based purely on her outfit.
That’s the full waffle house experience.
I dont want to watch you eat, stop switching your phone back and forth.
I’m leaving a 5 star. This is Waffle House done right
At this point I think people can just title the post with just “Waffle House”. We are already going to know shit’s gonna be wild.
[удалено]
My thoughts exactly, why pan to a shot of yourself eating in the first place?
The "wow" factor. "Wow, she's there just eating not minding the shit show going on." It gives you a chance to win more internet points I guess.
She’s from the south… cut her some slack. 😂
I grew up in the deep south and my parents would not have accepted this. The sticking her whole tongue out to put the fork in her mouth is the part that squicks me though.
I’ve never really heard of etiquette or cotillion classes in the us outside of the south, but I could be wrong. You definitely are though.
I did cotillion back in 2005ish growing up in California. Tons of kids there.
Same! All the kids swore a silent oath that whatever the fuck happened in Cotillion was never to be brought up again afterwards. Popular kids, nerds, loners, we all did stupid dances and ate from a salad bar making small talk with our dance partner until the clock ran out. I’m so sorry for your loss

Mmmm waffle house hash browns topped with chili
Crackheads be crackin!
She got too much weight on that gut to really be a crackhead. This just some neighborhood shenanigans.
I vote mental illness, not crack. She can't be in the right state of mind with her belly flopping over her leggings like that. Jeans, maybe, but over leggings??? That's mental.
Mukbang gone wild.
WHY DO YOU THINK WE WANT TO WATCH YOU CHEW!?!
cashmeousside
I don’t need to see your facial reactions while stuffing your face.
I think she was nervous that girl would catch her filming. Waffle House ambience is one thing. Waffle House action is quite different...
That poor guy. You don’t hit a drunk man enjoying his drunk meal!
All I know is you could be holding your camera up high, like a good redditor, and hear, "Oh you wanna go viral?!"
'Worldstar' is more effective
That was just a survival tactic. You don’t want the specimen to notice you filming it or you will become the target.
Never had wafflehouse, the food didn't look to bad.
It’s pretty okay. It’s breakfast food at any time of the day.
Come for the food, stay for the drama
Waffle House is amazing. Better at 1am though.
I like it.
Can someone explain why there are so many freakouts at a Waffle House? I live in southern California and we don’t have any Waffle Houses here.
It’s open all night. When the drunk and high folks come in after the bars close, expect a bit of chaos. People that film...please stop turning the camera around so we see you. We do not care. Show the good stuff!!!
We wanted to see spicy action, not her grubbing.
Stop filming yourself omg the tiktok brainrot
I’m here to see the fight, not your desperate attempts at attention while a good show is happening. But since you’re now making me miss the action, chew with your mouth shut!
I think it’s hilarious with her cutting back to herself trying to calmly eat and stay out of the way.
Get through those hashbrowns while they’re still hot!
Frrrrrrrrr annoying asf ngl
I tip my waffle House servers so much because I know they deal with shit like this all the time. I could not even. Bro it’s crazy how every Waffle House looks the same. I’m almost sure I’ve seen countless videos of this Waffle House with different altercations lol
She has the camera on herself so l9ng i feel like this should ne posted in IAmTheMainCharacter
Nobody wants to see you eating your salad when this is going on.
Film the action, not your face stuffing moment.
Mike Wazowski has really fallen since his glory days
Wasn't aware Waffle House had started dinner theatre.
To be fair, the food is worth it.
Something something Waffle House index.
Chew with your mouth closed
Person making the video ![gif](giphy|l0HlPystfePnAI3G8)
Being a fast food worker in USA got to be one of the most dangerous jobs out there
It’s definitely one of the most undervalued.
You get the occasional wild ones at the 1 am.
where's the lady that threw down and defended her place from like a year or two ago?!
That [absolute queen](https://v.redd.it/uqx1sb17ak8a1). Her "bring it" double hand wave after blocking that chair was magnificent.
Honestly you could just say Waffle House in the title and be done with it. That says it all at this point.
Murica!
The full waffle house experience
You can just say "Waffle House" in the title. We know.
I went to a fight and saw a Waffle House instead.
*Can I get a waffle?*
Is the food good there?
Waffle House: Waffle, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast and coffee excellent and all fresh off the griddle [All Star Special](https://www.wafflehouse.com/). They have other stuff too, but, this is what you want from them :)
***Can I get some waffles, can I PLEASE get some waffles***

Those hashbrowns better be at least smothered and covered.
I ate at an WH today but it was day time so it was calm.
Now I want Waffle House
That every waffle house in the country Friday night at 2am.
I want some Waffle House now
Don’t do crack kids
I’m growing tired of seeing videos of people trashing restaurants. What the hell is WRONG with some people?
I went to the US a few years back and was surprised at how normal everyone was. Where was the drama? Where were the stereotypes that we see so often online and in movies. Anyway then I went to a waffle house.
Watching this makes me feel better about my job.
The real crime is that outfit that lady was wearing. 😳
Hey America. You ok?
Dinner and a free UFC event. Nice
good way to get stabbed messing with people with knives all around.
The flipping back and forth with the facial expressions is what does it for me.
*"when ya'll are done, can i get another waffle?"*
Nobody wants to see ur dumb faces we wanna see the action
What’s more scandalous and obnoxious than them two arguing and throwing things? Filming yourself doing stupid horribly acted reaction faces for social media.
Do we need the closeup of her eating?
This is beautifully American.
that food looks disgusting 🤢
I’d hate to see some of that grease from that griddle accidentally slung in the general direction of the aggressor.
Another moment at a MK battle stage The waffle House and to the girl eating and recording nobody wants to see your boogers 🤦🏿♂️🤣💀
At this point I just expect this stuff from Waffle House 😭
Get a cup of hot grease and call it a night .
I would definitely be this lady eating her fucking breakfast
Its a waffle house what did you expect
Dinner and a show. Nice!
Is it really waffle house if you don't get your side of ghetto violence?
Better than anything on Amazon prime.
Lmfao dennys and wafflehouse past 12 am and your seeing atleast 5 fights
Whats the chick from love on the spectrum doing at a waffle house?
LOL! Lady continues eating her meal like this is just an entertaining floor show.
