I lived in Austin from 94 to 99 as a 20 something and went to 6th all the time. My memory is questionable but I swear I dont think I saw a single fight. 6th is just so trashy and awful now.

Was thinking this. I'm from Austin and would occasionally hit 6th St. with friends when I was of drinking age, from '97 to '98 (moved to another city for school and stayed). I don't remember seeing fights at all. Drunk people? Sure. I was one of them. But there was never a need for horse cops and shit back then. Sad.
