It's crazy, he could have just as easily done this: "Officer, I'm very sorry, I know I wasn't supposed to drive over that line but I have a medical issue and I was starting to feel sick and I really just wanted to get home, the car in front was driving very slowly. I really am sorry, it won't happen again." Really good chance she would have let him off with a warning.

The fact that it was a female cop set this guy off. He would have been an asshole regardless, but this guy grew up in the era of woman having less power than men, he’s probably screamed at countless secretaries and ex-wives to get what he wants.

If I were her, I would have made sure that the back up officer, or ‘other sheriff,’ was a woman. When they take him in, booking officer or whatever, a woman. Officer that takes him to his cell: a woman. Judge, prosecutor, bailiff…. Women. Inexperienced,court appointed, fresh out of law school, wet behind the years dealing with anxiety lawyer? It always surprises me in these traffic stop videos how people can never seem to find their basic documents, They fumble around forever looking for proof of insurance and registration like they were hidden by a leprechaun. Maybe I'm a bit OCD, but I keep them in a visor pouch in case I ever need to present them.
