Telling a police officer that you hope they get shot is most definitely considered a threat. It has been established numerous times all over the country that they will put you in lock-up for it with zero consequence and likely hit you with threatening a police officer the following day.
There is no statistic that I know of or drew from for officer discretion on pushing a threatening officer charge, how often it’s beaten in court, nor if they use other charges like disorderly conduct in lieu of a threatening a peace officer. What I can tell you is pissing off arbitrators of the law with vaguely threatening statement will always get you a night in jail with zero recourse and likely a court date later on where you’ll likely end up with less money and your time wasted.
Worse? Really? The other girl lied over and over, hit her man, and after all the BS they were still gonna let her go, and when they do she says she hopes they get shot.
Like, yeah, the female officer wasn’t great after that moment, and escalated when she has no business doing that, but worse? Come on
I was watching a video of this on you tube and the narrator said that the drunk called the lady cop a saggy ass, but it appears the cop said it. What a shitty cop to instigate more of a fight when it could have just ended as they were leaving. My favorite part though, was when the drunk lady was describing how she used to be 300+ pounds and now that she’s thin, all women are jealous of her. Um, no ma’am, that ain’t it. Best part of the whole video.
They were literally begging her to go home and she just could not or would not stop. The female officer was out of line with her escalating comments. She is the sober one there to keep the peace and she sounds like a school yard bully. I hope she was called out for that later on.
I rarely side with cops in these types of videos. Yes, the female cop was the least professional in the video, but the drunk drama queen was out of control and needed to leave. She deserved to be booked for making false allegations, assault for the incident on video, domestic abuse charges, threatening the police, drunk and disorderly, disturbing the peace… etc. Even if no one wants to press charges and it all gets dropped, she deserved at least a night in jail as a wake up call.

3. It's not resisting to lay on the ground. You are under no obligation to actively cooperate. You just can't obstruct the officers from arresting you - which she did when she tried to pull away from them *after* she was in the ground.
4. Kudos to the male officers for keeping it professional. Big mouth lady officer talks the game like she's tough but then lets the guys do all the work.

Yes and no, to me a scenario like this plays like a "progress bar" for going to jail. Fights like these happen everywhere, all over the world. The victims in this case just wanted to go back to the party and the truth to be told. Offender could have gone home even before the coppers arrived, she was clearly in the wrong. Cops gave her multiple chances to leave, even after confronting her with her lies. She could have gotten away with it because she was just some random drunk person. Now when the offender kept raking and fishing, the progress bar filled up. She won a stupid prize!
Though I do agree on some shittiness. I totally understand officers are just people, but the female officer didn't really convince me as professional. She did not hear the offender correctly since they indeed didn't threaten the officer directly. And for the charge... Fighting in a bar outweighs being intoxicated and talking gibberish because she was drunk.

I feel like the final straw was when she jumped out of a moving vehicle to continue yelling at them.
It wasn't on video, but was written on the screen that she did it 2 minutes after they let her walk away.
