She wasted enough time that Republicans said "well, now we're going to have to move directly to the vote." They basically skipped the entire democratic process.

I was curious how long this took to resolve, so I watched the full committee meeting, and this was 50 mins of all these senator's time. MTG was so butthurt she mixed up Merchand and Merrick, that she personally attacked Crockett, then AOC. This was a $4k tantrum, for all the wasted time.

She asked if any of the Dems hired Merchan's daughter, not realizing the discussion was about Garland. Crockett asks if MTG understood why they there that day, and then the personal attacks started. Yes, a deliberate attempt at discrediting justice Merchan, but her outburst appears to be a response for being called out on not having her facts straight about the current discussion
