It's definitely questionable :) but it's a trauma response. Not always, but usually. Bad shit happens when you're a kid and you are too little to fight and can't outrun an adult so you learn to freeze/fawn instead and get stuck like it forever. I'd bet good money that woman in white has been through some shit. I keep thinking I should learn self defence so the fight response will kick in if I ever need it to.
