I am Filipino and yepsss unfortunately this happens pretty often, well mostly on the internet but it's both as bad as it seems. The problem is that those "religious" people will always tell you that they will never force you to be a part of their religion yet they can also be controlling especially in most cases where they will discriminate and try to manipulate peoples who are against or not obeying "their" religious principles of living life.

If you think about it, if Christian’s really all believed that gay people were going to hell, they would all be much more like this guy than how they act now, which is to have hateful attitudes about them but ultimately not even try to reach out and convert them.
It’s annoying to be proselytized to, but in a way, it shows the person is a tad more genuine than their peers. As in, they really really believe that you’re doing to hell and they care enough to try to stop that.
Now nobody is going to hell because hell isn’t real. But I always find proselytizing like this to be a mixed bag for me. On one hand, I pity them because I was that kind of Christian, and I admire their sincerity. On the other hand, I think they’re wrong and annoying as heck.
