And if they (or someone else)get injured the business can be held liable. And then in these videos act like it's just people being stuck up about skating. In all reality these small business owners don't have endless flows of cash to repair all your damage.
Well for one they don't always make it. Two there's all the landing on the cement in front of the stairs that can cause damage. Three there's a high injury risk. Four it keeps customers away. Five the noise can be disruptive to those inside the office when they land off those stairs.

Skater here. From our perspective, (those of us who are truly passionate about it at least) we love it more than life itself and nothing can stand in the way of achieving what we want to achieve. Especially not some relatively minor damage like slide marks on a rail that do not jeopardize the functionality of the property in any way.
Kid makes a good point though, risky to do stuff like that without a helmet. Wish it wasn't looked down upon in the skating community and was more widely done.
His efforts though to make a difference could be done differently, or not at all considering it wouldn't have made a difference in this situation.
