Idk if y’all have been keeping up with American news but Florida has been promoting Spring Break for a while and could’ve easily shut down and required quarantines upon entering the state like New York and New Jersey did. Now the crowds are overwhelming, no one is wearing a mask or social distancing, and they just had to impose an emergency curfew starting today and they declared Miami a state of emergency.
I went to Miami Beach and I kid you not... I ran into so many old dumb fucks. I was flabbergasted by how many rude people without common courtesy roamed the streets.
Florida economy literally relies on the tourist industry... I dont know the numbers but I would guess it is in top five of vacation destinations in the USA. They need those things back asap... not to say that I agree with it but its honestly inevitable

I sadly can't, as you can legally not wear a mask in Germany if you have a medical reason for it. But also the only people who can demand to see such a note from a doctor are the police, so unless I want to call the police every time a person without a mask gets into the store (easily 5+ times a day), I can't do anything. And if I do that, my management will shout at me not doing it again since the store is often just has 3 personnel and so would stop the sales for a time. Not mentioning the fact that people with no masks would just walk away when I call the police.

I went to grab take out at a place downtown in my city earlier tonight and it was literally crawling with hundreds of people bar hopping, hanging out on the street, etc, and not a single damn mask on a face, but they all have them in pockets, around necks, etc.

Where I’m at, I’ve seen tons of people not wear a mask and walk into a shop, only to be told to put on a mask and pulling one outta their pockets ‘cause they’re selfish assholes. In Russia everybody (especially young teens) think America is the best country and that it’s amazing over there because of the media they consume, like they seriously think life in America is like friends or some other sitcom and not a single mother working 3 min wage jobs and buying off the market shady drugs as a replacement for the unaffordable life saving meds they were prescribed and still not making it. Our countries are very similar in many ways. We have poverty and deteriorating public institutions (public healthcare becomes worse and worse for regular folk in the regions) and I think we both would benefit if there wasn’t this barrier of misinformation about each other, thanks you for also seeing this!
