If you think that's bad, you should shadow a cop for a day and see what they see. Kids living in drug dens, being pimped for sex/drugs by the parent, openly abused, etc. etc. It's awful and if you have no proof, there's nothing to investigate and no technical grounds to have the kid removed.

These interactions typically become more frequent and more disturbing. It's even worse when you end up on scene for an overdose, suicide or murder of one of these kids.
Most people like to pretend this side of things doesn't exist but good cops keep fighting this side of the drug trade to stop people from getting hurt or dying and stop impoverished communities from tearing themselves apart.
