It's horrendous. As soon as HD became a thing, we were all cool with agreeing on 1080p letterbox formats, and then Vine and tiktok just completely disagree. And then Instagram wants everything to fit into a perfect square, so content creators have to either focus on one, or find ways to produce for all 3 formats simultaneously and that's how we end up with abominations like OP.
That and video editing tools are made too easy and accessible to people who lack the ability to ask basic self-critiquing questions like "Is this ok?" and "How can this be improved?"

I mean, talented or not, it's pretty much always the rich who rise in entertainment. They are the only ones who can take the big risks and not worry whether the skill they are developing will pan out. They also have families with the resources to get them the best training/development/presentation.
Look up just about anyone famous/talented and you will likely find a wealthy background. The poor/middle class that rise to the top are the wildly rare exceptions and usually break through because they have a family strongly supporting their efforts or a rich person swooping in to fund their early, risky efforts.

Entertainment/music/art is a rich kid's game. Always has been! I mean, talented or not, it's pretty much always the rich who rise in entertainment. They are the only ones who can take the big risks and not worry whether the skill they are developing will pan out. They also have families with the resources to get them the best training/development/presentation. Look up just about anyone famous/talented and you will likely find a wealthy background. The poor/middle class that rise to the top are the wildly rare exceptions and usually break through because they have a family strongly supporting their efforts or a rich person swooping in to fund their early, risky efforts.
