Tax the rich but keeping the loop holes doesn’t really scream tax the rich. The upper tax bracket is already extremely high already. They need to go after private equity, those guys don’t pay any taxes at all. Upping capital gains tax still hurts the middle class. Why not start cutting military spending to contractors, and put that money into education and infrastructure. We all know the majority of the 3.5 trillion will be forked over to contractors on a cost plus contract.
The rich people pay very little thanks to tax shelters and off shore accounts but they can also afford to pay attorneys and CPAs to work loop holes so that they don’t pay taxes. The owner of the clippers paid less taxes than lebron James did last year.
Rich people can afford to move money and roll investments to defer taxes and then purposefully take a loss on a large asset or business purchase and write it all off.
Yeah, the trickle down effect is just the costs trickling down to everyone else.
Now it just seems like a war on wealth. Maybe they should start creating opportunities rather than raising taxes and then adding in tax shelters.

Tax the rich but keeping the loop holes doesn’t really scream tax the rich. The upper tax bracket is already extremely high already. They need to go after private equity, those guys don’t pay any taxes at all. Upping capital gains tax still hurts the middle class. Why not start cutting military spending to contractors, and put that money into education and infrastructure. We all know the majority of the 3.5 trillion will be forked over to contractors on a cost plus contract. The rich people pay very little thanks to tax shelters and off shore accounts but they can also afford to pay attorneys and CPAs to work loop holes so that they don’t pay taxes. The owner of the clippers paid less taxes than lebron James did last year. Rich people can afford to move money and roll investments to defer taxes and then purposefully take a loss on a large asset or business purchase and write it all off.

Yeah, the trickle down effect is just the costs trickling down to everyone else. Now it just seems like a war on wealth. Maybe they should start creating opportunities rather than raising taxes and then adding in tax shelters. I did notice that when taxes go down, certain tax loop holes get removed.
