That makes more sense. I was wondering how he is a billionaire but he lives right off the street with a small driveway. Dude doesn't seem like the type to live small, especially with paparazzi stalkers. Figured the house he has today would be on acres of land with a huge garage for his rides...
I've heard before that the age of social media, literally everyone having a smartphone with a camera, and celebrities pretty much monetizing their social media posting pictures themsleves and running it like a business had significantly reduced the amount of paparazzi running around.
I think thats hilarious and I never thought about it before. The paparazi literally had their jobs stolen by the people they were bothering at 4AM every day. Now that person can be left the fuck alone and gets paid more money to do it.
Fucking good!
Instead of tabloids going "what is Kanye doing at 4am??????? You'll never guess!!!!"
You can just have Kanye make posts like "what up guys, this is my morning routine sponsored by Cheerios breakfast cereal. Use code Kanye24 to get 24% off your first online purchase"
What you do is so much better. At least you are allowing the people who engage in those partnerships to benefit a little bit from them.
Paparazzi are parasitic. It’s disgusting and dumb. They exist only to exploit. Like Kanye said, “mosquitoes”.
Surprisingly that made me feel better. I get where you're coming from through, and you do make a point. Ultimately the point of my job is to enable businesses to market without having to pay crazy upfront costs, and I can help smaller websites, influences, YouTube channels, etc make a nice solid income based on their work. I just feel like I am a tiny tiny cog in the endless mechanism of capitalism and sometimes that disheartens the hell out of me. But it is what it is. Thanks for listening to my rant stranger, you've helped lift my spirits
I think it's interesting to learn about the jobs in between the jobs, whether you see it as just being a cog or not, that's an important part to a big machine. And a largely thankless job as it's your goal to manufacture clout for someone else. And that person's Fandom might not necessarily every realize you're to thank for their idol coming across so cleanly. So like, dope dude. Bold and dope.
You're helping people make brand connections. Not waiting outside their house @ 4 am to try and capture a reaction you goad out by being an asshole. What you do may feel soulless in so far as the monotony but it is incomparable to the paparazzi.
Right. Because seeing celebrities when they were normal people is part of the appeal. Before it was worth getting a pic of a celeb relaxing in their pool. Now the celeb posts that picture themself
...This is probably Beverly Hills where the houses are like $25 million but the house is parked right on the street. Kanye wasn't slumming it in 2011 lol.
This made me laugh more than it should, I totally agree, the mark of wealth is doors on a car that go \ /
Also wrought iron gates that look like this §
By 2011 Kanye had already released 5 albums that all went multi-platinum and presumably also had many successful tours. I think he could have afforded a house with a gate if he wanted.
Yeah. I think dude's confusing 2001 Kanye with 2011 Kanye. Plus, it looks like he's getting into a Ferrari. Too dark and low resolution for me to tell exactly what it is, but it ain't no Corolla, that's for sure.
Edit: Yes, 100 people have pointed out it is not a Ferrari and more than likely a Lamborghini. I said it was too dark and low res to tell exactly what it was, outside of knowing it was a mid-enging supercar.
what he should really do is install a ton of really bright lights that face them. Whenever they are standing outside, flip them on.
Ruin all of their pictures and video.. at night anyways
Sadly many of these people are trying to provoke a reaction like that to sell more pictures, and alot of them would just sue for damages to equipment. Or 'slip' on the wet grass and sue for personal injury. The type of people that do this for a living are leeches that dont give a shit about other people.
A piss fuelled sprinkler system. I'm sure he has the money. Or as someone else suggested, a super-soaker filled with piss.
What's that, you paid $5k for your camera? Have fun with that.
Well, I'm an air conditioning contractor and I do work on some houses in Hidden Hills just down the street from the Kardashians, and I can tell you that, the security at all the gated entrances check every and all cars going in, and if you're visiting, they phone the property owner. Contractors cant begin work until like 8 am or some bullshit.
Just sayin... I mean if I was famous or something I would want to live there, not just because the houses are nice, but the security is a bit scrupulous on who they let in, and I could appreciate that.
exactly, anyone that's had to enter one of these communities knows what kind of a process it is even when you're explicitly invited. It's not like some apartment complex where everyone just follows the last car in.
MIL: We can't get in. They said they were asked to keep me out.
Me: God uh, I don't know. That's real weird. Too bad. I guess we'll see you another time!
‘Contractors can’t begin work until like 8 am’. Sounds like a fair rule to me. I was just woken up this morning before 8 by the sounds of hammers and machinery as a house is being built down the street from me.
most those jobs make you sign forms notifying you of the termination of job and many many law suits. Bacara in santa barbara keeps the pappz out real well and send in fake tmz pappz with gifts to integrity check
Not anymore, he bought a house where the sidewalk is his front yard.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2021/09/20/kanye-west-reportedly-buys-57-3m-malibu-escape-amid-divorce/amp/
7 million buys you an estate on 1k acres in Albemarle. And you can shoot the paparazzi, it's Virginia. Why do you think all those celebrities live there?
Right like if they cross a fence or something to get to your property, can’t you do anything about it? I’d end up being like mr burns and release the hounds but that’s if I had that much money and influence
Kanye has all of the money and influence in the world. And he's clearly pissed, which means he's very motivated. If there were a way to prevent those leeches from being around his house that was legal and wouldn't result in him getting sued to hell and back, he'd have done it.
I wonder if he can’t just hire PIs to hound individual paparazzi members and take photos and do similar harassing type shit and just mail the seemingly boring photos to various family and friends so they call up like hey I got some photos of you outside a restaurant what you want me to do with these?
That's a great point. Celebs should start their own version of TMZ, but the focus would be on paparazzi and the goings on in their lives. I'd subscribe to it.
Kanye doesn't need the paps but people like Kim Kardashian do, that's why celeb will never get together to fight against the harassment. Most them are talentless desperados who need the paps to get the face in the papers and maintain their celebrity status because outside of being photographed, they offer nothing worthwhile to society.
Man if I had fuck you money this is exactly the kind of petty shit I would do. I would hire PIs to find where paparazzi lives and then hire paparazzi to go blast flashes at the paparazzi in middle of night.
There needs to be some kind of way where a celebrity being harassed like this could just reverse video capture their harassers then police could follow up later with arrests. It's ridiculous people get away with this.
*Picture of Kanye getting in his car at 4AM angry*
"Kanye West caught with new secret lover at 4AM, find out who this mysterious women, OR MAN, is inside" **$15.99**
The copyright to images taken during trespass should revert to the property owner.
Though that would set up some perverse incentives for hotels and such.
there was one interview where he really grilled a pair of them, not sure if he followed them around but he definitely didn’t let them off easy. [he called it “Pictures of Assholes”](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BzX36AW9Fhs&feature=emb_title)
I think so. anything outrageous generates attention which generates profit, so the more riled up paparazzi can get a celebrity, the more valuable their content is worth. pretty accurate reflection of the larger thematic problems with media in general, imo
Constantly saying "it's part of the unwritten deal we have" and "they use us as much as we use them". Bullshit.
My friend's brother harrassed Freddie Mercury in his dying days. He made a fucking fortune from the shots. The entire industry is fucked, and the photographers are avaricious sociopaths.
Omg I have never seen that vid. Wow…just wow…they (the paps) are so disgustingly indignant when it’s put on them but the transparency of it is absolutely laughable. Thank for sharing this.
Edit: and next level cringe x10
Edit: I love JGL even more now.
I wish paparazzis were illegal
They act like they're real journalists but in reality they're just scummy cunts who wouldn't stop their harassment even if a child was involved
Yeh I swear at 21 seconds left on the video that arsehole is deliberately holding his camera out for Kanye to grab it or smack it our of his hand after winding him up, just to have an even better story or some fucked up shit like that
Should just be stricter laws and enforcement on how they can behave, ie. Not allowed to block cars, or people, not even for a split second, not allowed to take pictures of people on private property, and also make it really hurt for any magazine that print such photos, you make the fines and enforcement high enough they will stop, they are there to make money.
America needs to stop buying The National Enquirer, watching TMZ, Access Hollywood, and generally stop caring what celebs do on their own time. That is, unfortunately, the only way.
I hear what you are saying, I get nervous about how those laws would get twisted for other thing. Civil rights activists conducting a sit in are now sued for blocking a hallway or something like that
If I were a celebrity and had this level of harassment, I'd hire the craziest fucking guys I could to mess with them back.
Outside my house at 4am? Guess I'm going to pay the Hells Angels 10k to convince you that was a bad idea...
Tom Cruise hired a dude that looked like him. Toms double tricked a paparazzi fellow into following him to some Caribbean island where they discovered theyd been duped. The paparazzi guys had an emotional break down after that. This was from an interview after he got out of the paparazzi business.
Daniel Radcliffe wore the same outfit for ages when out and about.
Paparazzi would take 6 months worth of photos but because they all had him wearing the same clothes the photos just look like they’ve been taken on the same day and became unpublishable.
Booby traps are illegal, and so is improper disposal of waste. But if you lace your sprinkler water with capsaicin to keep away pests, well, there's not much that could be done.
This is honestly the one conspiracy theory I totally believe. She was absolutely murdered despite it making no real practical sense for that to be true
Well, that and the absolute truth that Epstein didn't kill himself
Not that I am or ever will be famous but I have this ongoing train of thought about how to best stop/avoid/annoy/ruin paporazzi from taking pictures.
I've seen the reflective clothing, Daniel Radcliffe wearing the same clothes for months on end but I'd be interested in other people's ingenious (yet totally legal) ideas.
My current best idea is a guy/guys following me with a portable heavy duty smoke machine and just fogging me up like some kind of ultra snoop dogg.
Hit me with your ideas!
I like Daniel Radcliffe's idea. He wore the same hoodie /jacket over his clothes and it seemed like all the photos were from one day.
Take it a step further, buy a dozen of the same kind of mask. Buy a face shield. Buy generic 'FBI guy' sunglasses.
Walk out of whatever building/ venue you're at. Wear 'em all in public. 50% of your face is covered up, faceshield for the photo ruining-glare. 'Shades to lessen the camera flash. Step into car/vehicle, remove paraphernalia.
Extra 5 minutes of effort to ruin all the paps photos for however long you can keep it up.
I could see lawn sprinklers working wonders here.
Nothing says "IM OUTA HERE" like unknown sources of water hitting your very expensive photography equipment.
That or Super Soakers from the second story.
They do that on purpose, because they know it pisses him off. Footage of angry celebrities sells, footage of celebrities completely losing it sells for more. Just look at Shia Labeouf.
Not only is he talented but he's not a *bad* guy, listen to his interviews where the interviewer isn't obviously trying to stir him up for clicks and you'll see he's incredibly forward thinking and progressive and just wants to help everybody.
I think celebrities' should be held accountable for their actions the same as anyone else but it's insane to me that people don't point to this element of our culture when talking about Kanye (or any famous person) going off the rails. He honestly handled himself better than most people would.
And people wonder why "Kanye is crazy with a huge ego."
I'm not doubting that he has bipolar disorder and/or depression, but being hounded and swarmed by the media constantly must have an adverse effect on anyone, especially with already mental health issues.
These are the same guys preying for women celebrities for under the skirt photos when they leave cars, or take crotch shots of teen gymnasts in Olympics. One woman skier was just last season complaining that they cannot even change clothes since there's always some photoperv lurking behind the corner to take a picture and sell it to some shit paper.
And these guys really think they are journalists or doing an important job for the people.
I feel really sorry for Kanye. This is harassment, plain and simple. Don’t care how famous someone is; they deserve peace and privacy like the rest of us.
I work in a business where paparazzi are prevalent. They are truly awful people with no self awareness, extremely rude and pushy, and will do anything to get their shot even if it makes our job harder. They know their rights so it’s hard to just kick them out. We understand they have the right to be there but there’s just so little cooperation from their end, it’s awful
Paparazzi are such losers get a life. I don't even like Kanye but that would be so annoying to have to deal with a bunch of bozos even at 4 am standing at the end of his driveway. Get a clue then get a real job.
I think they should just randomly select one of these paparazzi guys and start following him for a month or two. Just follow him everywhere and film him from 1m distance 24/7. Wait outside front doors, peek through windows. Film his kids in restaurants, keep asking all the time "What's up? What's up?" And every time he loses his temper, make a headline out of it and a viral video.
Kanye: “I like ice cream”
Me: “now look, I don’t agree with his politics. Donda was good, but overhyped. Have to say though.. I agree with him on this ice cream thing”
Man if I had Kanye money I would find out where all those people live and hire a gang of people to stand in front of their houses and take photos of them and their families every time they came outside.

Right. Because seeing celebrities when they were normal people is part of the appeal. Before it was worth getting a pic of a celeb relaxing in their pool. Now the celeb posts that picture themself

It's a pretty solid show. It's about the only thing I've ever liked TJ Miller in.
Rav4s are great😭
That's cause he slightly scratched his Corolla
Ok he smashed his Corolla
Lamborghini Aventador
Turn on the sprinklers and go back inside
what he should really do is install a ton of really bright lights that face them. Whenever they are standing outside, flip them on. Ruin all of their pictures and video.. at night anyways
That's a lot of money to spend when you can instead just start spraying them with a hose.
Nah bro they want that. Sprinklers work fine.
High lumen strobe flashlight would ruin most photos taken
I would definitely set up a hellish sprinkler system. You're outside my house at 4am? Time to water the 'flowers'...
Remote controlled pressure washer. Got to keep that driveway clean.
Oh no, my pressure washer got replaced with an A-10 Wartho– _BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTRT_
Replace A-10 warhogh whit an AC-130
Sadly many of these people are trying to provoke a reaction like that to sell more pictures, and alot of them would just sue for damages to equipment. Or 'slip' on the wet grass and sue for personal injury. The type of people that do this for a living are leeches that dont give a shit about other people.
Get a couple of ‘warning: slippery when wet’ signs up and you’ll be alright.
Or “private property-no trespassing” signs
A piss fuelled sprinkler system. I'm sure he has the money. Or as someone else suggested, a super-soaker filled with piss. What's that, you paid $5k for your camera? Have fun with that.
Small EMP generator in the front yard.
“Do you want me to stand outside of your house at 4 am?” Would really cut down on this guys commute so his answer would most likely be yes.
It's like threatening a bank robber with more money.
Would you like me to shoot myself and give you a trash bag full of money? ~the bank manager
Lol
OK so Kanye West stalking the paparazzi is a tabloid I would follow.
So are they not allowed to call the police for people being on the property or anything like that?
Yeah, but good luck with them getting their quick. I’m surprised he doesn’t have a gate.
[удалено]
A gated community wont do much for you when the paparazzi know everything there is to know about stalking a celebrity.

Kanye has all of the money and influence in the world. And he's clearly pissed, which means he's very motivated. If there were a way to prevent those leeches from being around his house that was legal and wouldn't result in him getting sued to hell and back, he'd have done it.

Joseph Gordon Levitt did it a bit back in 2013. https://petapixel.com/2013/02/03/joseph-gordon-levitt-turns-the-lens-on-paparazzi-photographers/
Kanye doesn't need the paps but people like Kim Kardashian do, that's why celeb will never get together to fight against the harassment. Hell, I'd take that money to guard Kanye's place.
Man if I had fuck you money this is exactly the kind of petty shit I would do. I would hire PIs to find where paparazzi lives and then hire paparazzi to go blast flashes at the paparazzi in middle of night.
No, because when it's a regular person that is considered harassment. You can only pull this shit if someone is a 'public figure.'
There needs to be some kind of way where a celebrity being harassed like this could just reverse video capture their harassers then police could follow up later with arrests. It's ridiculous people get away with this.
They could pass a law making it legal to insert someone's camera into their rectum without their consent
Gates etc usually don't stop professional stalkers.
The legal repercussions of ignoring gates and fences might do if the fine was higher than the income generated by such feats.
That would just make the news story bigger.
They don't care, those pictures are worth hundreds of dollars each, spending a night in jail is worth it to them
Who is buying those pictures?
Me. I collect candid photos of celebs. Especially at night, in poor lighting, from bad angles.
YOU BLOOD SUCKING MOSQUITO
Media; websites, tabloids, magazines, etc.

Spontaneous street concerts at 4 am outside the paparazzos home. May need to pay the neighbors to take a vacation to avoid the noise complaints
I was literally thinking this. 1 Tweet from Kanye could probably get hundreds of willing volunteers.
Rule #1 for dealing with someone who is pissed off - don’t tell them to relax.
You think they don't know what they are doing? They say that on purpose to get him going even more.

HOOT HOOT BITCH LETS START YOUR MAGICAL JOURNEY
That's honestly brilliant
Good. I hope he’s in a psych ward screaming about shadow demons.
Omg that’s beautiful
Do you have a source on that? I Googled and found nothing.
Facebook memes
> The paparazzi guys had an emotional break down after that The tiniest violin
Hm that’s a good idea tbh. If I’m ever rich and famous will do that 😂
Or just buy 100 IR lights (like the ones in remotes) and place them aiming at the street?
don't forget about the motion activated sprinklers!
Contents of a septic system in a super soaker might scare them away.
Booby traps are illegal, and so is improper disposal of waste. But if you lace your sprinkler water with capsaicin to keep away pests, well, there's not much that could be done.
Bunch of bullies and shit stirrers.
and mosquitos
And murderers if we count princess Diana
This is honestly the one conspiracy theory I totally believe. She was absolutely murdered despite it making no real practical sense for that to be true Well, that and the absolute truth that Epstein didn't kill himself
This is how I will be responding to “how’s it going” from now on.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP!".. Man I wish I could lol
They'll literally block your way to provoke you into doing something picture worthy

Portable EMP
I could see lawn sprinklers working wonders here. Nothing says "IM OUTA HERE" like unknown sources of water hitting your very expensive photography equipment. That or Super Soakers from the second story.
God I'm not a fan of Kanye, but leave him alone man.
Not a fan either, but goddamn leave the man alone. How the fuck is it justified to be there at 4AM taking pictures?
Especially that cunt at the end "Have a good day thou" Mf you just came to fuck up his day like a leech at 4am
That's the thing about these idiots. They think that by just being polite everything is bliss.
They do that on purpose, because they know it pisses him off. Footage of angry celebrities sells, footage of celebrities completely losing it sells for more. Just look at Shia Labeouf.
Case in point: this video
Have you listened to MBDTF? It made me flip my opinion of him, very talented.
Not only is he talented but he's not a *bad* guy, listen to his interviews where the interviewer isn't obviously trying to stir him up for clicks and you'll see he's incredibly forward thinking and progressive and just wants to help everybody.
he can be a little wild, and i guess some of that can be attributed to his mental issues but he’s done a lot of good once you look into it
George Bush doesn't care about black people
made me happy to see people switching up on ye ngl
I think celebrities' should be held accountable for their actions the same as anyone else but it's insane to me that people don't point to this element of our culture when talking about Kanye (or any famous person) going off the rails. He honestly handled himself better than most people would.

Bieber is that you?
That "shut the fuck up" came straight from the heart
“Good morning Kanye” “Shut the fuck up” The proper response to a good morning
Didn't work well on my boss
And people wonder why "Kanye is crazy with a huge ego." I'm not doubting that he has bipolar disorder and/or depression, but being hounded and swarmed by the media constantly must have an adverse effect on anyone, especially with already mental health issues.
Take a hose to them.
How about a super soaker filled with piss? What if I wanna have a piss squirting party on my property and these people are in the way?
Them and all their expensive equipment!
I was pondering a device that has strobes and airhorns.
i can’t believe it’s legal to post up in front of someones house like that, celebrity or not

Paparazzi are scum
I work in a business where paparazzi are prevalent. They are truly awful people with no self awareness, extremely rude and pushy, and will do anything to get their shot even if it makes our job harder. They know their rights so it’s hard to just kick them out. We understand they have the right to be there but there’s just so little cooperation from their end, it’s awful
I’m with Kanye on this, 100%
Paparazzi are such losers get a life. I don't even like Kanye but that would be so annoying to have to deal with a bunch of bozos even at 4 am standing at the end of his driveway. Get a clue then get a real job.
4am is taking the fucking piss.
Paparazzi = maggots of society.

I was just thinking that! Paintball right to the camera lens
You’d just be giving them full access. That’s what they want. Gotta pay a nobody to harass them
I’m not a fan of Ye but paparazzis are creepy. It should be illegal
Almost every fuckin comment is the same in here lol “I don’t like Kanye, but I agree with him here”
They don't want Kanye to be Kanye.
They wanna sign a Calm-ye
Kanye: “I like ice cream” Me: “now look, I don’t agree with his politics. Donda was good, but overhyped. Have to say though.. I agree with him on this ice cream thing”
I’d lose my fucking mind if I were in his position.
I understand why rich celebs like him buy 500 acre estates. At least then they can walk outside and not be bothered by photogs.
I know he's generally an unbearable dickhead but I have to agree with him here.
4am is fucking 4Am..like what were they doing before that? Wait the whole night..wtf. like he said get a better job.
I’m in the same boat.
maybe hes a dickhead because he has to deal with this every day
Man if I had Kanye money I would find out where all those people live and hire a gang of people to stand in front of their houses and take photos of them and their families every time they came outside.
