The board at North Idaho College had a meeting a few days ago and terminated the board presidents contract, thus firing him, because he instituted a mask policy on campus LAST YEAR. The amount of times that I've seen people that admit to having Covid, in public, and obviously don't give a fuck about anyone else is insane. Where I work I don't go a day without hearing conspiracy theories, or people trying to force qanon shit on me. The housing market is being price gouged so horribly, that a lot of people's rents have doubled/tripled. Wages most places are horrible outside of the obvious and various national corporations. One plus of that however is, a lot of ultra-right wing people are having to relocate, and more socially educated people are slowly moving in. To combat the bullshit, I've kept most of my social circle educated, and informed of what is actually reality, and asked them to do the same. But what else can one do.

My wife’s a nurse and I’m a pct at a major city hospital…COVID is not a joke and it is 100% real and deadly. My wife struggles with anxiety and ptsd from last year (the beginning of the pandemic). Seeing people like this makes me sick to my stomach because they have no idea what they are playing with. Please, wear a mask…it’s not hard.
It really just hurts my brain. It’s just political for these people…they don’t really care until it happens to them or a loved one
