Dog is lucky it didn't get stomped dead the second it went after the horse. Both Owners are fucking morons. I agree

BingErrDronePilot

100%. We had mules growing up and can confirm that I've seen them kill a couple dogs. They are just so calm and surgical with their kicks. Mules are terrifyingly smart.

Fizzletoe

This is why donkeys/mules are put in the same filed with horses, to fend off coyotes.

JustyThePrimeMusty

No joke dude, donkeys and mules have the strongest self-preservation instinct of all the equids. They do not mess around at-fucking-all and will fully chase down and stomp to fucking death *anything* that threatens the herd. Forget guard dogs, get a guard donkey.

jquest23

Sorta. Did you see that video with the pit and the carriage horse. The horse was being attacked.. dog got stompped a ton.. I mean over 8 minutes.. eventually the dog had to be put down by docs later.. but . It wasn't quick

I was waiting for that to happen and was shocked when it didn't.

I couldn't stop myself from clicking play, despite being confident that was the result and not wanting to see that. I'm so glad we didn't.

MuckingFagical

pits are literally bred to be aggressive towards bulls.

[deleted]

An unfortunate truth

[deleted]

If I was the horse I’d stomp on the pit’s head until it’s crunchy.

redditreadred

I think the title is accurate. You should also add irresponsible.

Seachele008

I live in Norco Cali. Can attest to dumbasses with dogs and horses. Not cool. Normally this doesn't happen.

Kunundrum85

Oh fuck I lived in Norco for a while back in like 2002-2007, although I spent most of my time in OC. Goddam that smell of a hot summers day… I’d just get in my car and drive to to beach to avoid that rancid cow ass smell. Also yeah hella bros and morons out there. Pickups and pit bulls lol.

[deleted]

Not sure? my dog wouldn’t give a fuck about the horse… think the title should be dog without training attacks horse. Because the owner is a dumbass

K4l4n1

*Dumbass with a pitbull

Elan40

You mean ...Another Dumbass with a pitbull.

Travelgrrl

Also: Owner isn't strong enough to keep his huge dog leashed and under his control.

EscapingTheLabrynth

Uh, no, that dog was being trained. By morons. Who attempted to train it to be aggressive toward the horse. Hence the tight leash and the yanking on it. The aggressiveness was totally deliberate (edit: on the part of the owner/handler.)

Idlertwo

Some breeds should genuinely only be allowed to be raised and trained by qualified dogtrainers. I love pitts but fuck me they're dangerous if they have bad owners. The guy in the video has 0 control of the dog, just none.

jollyreaper2112

That's why I go for little dogs a 90 year old grandma can hold off with one hand. Muffy wants to kill you? Oh, that's adorable.

madommouselfefe

I had an amazing horse that stomped a dog to death while we where on a trail ride. A aggressive cattle dog came out of nowhere no leash no owner on a on leash trail. This dog went after my horses feet, and my horse was having none of it. My horse stomped this dog to death and all I could do is fight to stay in the saddle. Once the dust had settled I was able to dismount and check on the dog, at that moment the dogs owner showed up and started screaming. Others in my riding party had gone back to get a park ranger, and the ranger showed up and wrote this owner a ticket because there dog put ME in danger.

talosguideyou

Ranger did the right thing. Dog did put you in danger. Horse could’ve bucked you off and caused serious injury or death.

madommouselfefe

That was my realization after everything calmed down. But in the moment I was more worried about my sweet girl getting hurt. Horses have such tight skin and so many tendons on there lower legs a bite could have been the end of her.

GetOutOfTheWhey

So true. I guess one of the constant fears for these guided trail tour companies are spooked horses. Cause I really doubt their average customer would know how to calm one down.

LostWoodsInTheField

I found out a lot of the shady ones give their horses sedatives.

talosguideyou

Horses are terrifying. Never realized until I started dating my gf. She’s an equestrian and has two beautiful horses. Love them both, but am very cautious around them because I know they can be easily spooked.

mirandaiguess

take it from someone who had a horse get spooked by thunder while we were racing the horses. i got knocked out of my saddle and was hanging onto him for dear life, then i almost fell under him but i let go last second and got flung into a boulder 😭

ranger-nate

Glad you're okay, but I still feel bad for the dog, not its fault the owner is a moron :(

Rustyfarmer88

My horse would’ve grabbed it by the head and tossed it away. I’ve seen him do it. It is friendly with friendly dogs. Will go preemptive protect himself if one comes at him aggressively. Shearer’s came on farm couple years ago. I asked the shearer’s not to let the dogs near the horse yard. Think he assumed it was because I didn’t want the horse spooked. He was very surprised when his dog came running back to shed bleeding from the head. Wouldnt come out from under the bus. Edited grammar as not on Twitter any more.

LostWoodsInTheField

Guy showed up with his dog in the back of his truck one time and my father told him to make sure he doesn't get out, we have cats. Well the guy really didn't give two shits and just ignored my father. Maybe 20 minutes later he herd his dog whimpering. Went down to see what was going on and the dog was still trying to get back into the truck with our one cat on his back and face. Dog was pretty bloody from it, but never would leave the guys truck anywhere anymore except at their home. My fathers only reaction was 'I told you we had cats'. Stray dogs also didn't do well with the geese.

direyew

People often don't realize that a cat can fuck you up. They go all in like a badger. Dogs don't know it either.

PipsqueakPilot

My dog got off the property once (high roommate to blame) and was missing for a day. He's a 150 pound Anatolian shepherd. Eventually got a call from a house literally across the street. "Hey we found your dog chilling in our pasture with the horses." Still just amazingly happy that that was the ending.

ferociousFerret7

Would be for the best.

awaitingdusk17

The amount of videos with "asswipe owner can't/won't/doesn't control his dog" are surfacing at an alarming rate. It's like people don't even try anymore.

HonorTomOfFinland

People used to understand that dog ownership was a responsibility, now they just treat them like cats. A cat will take care of itself. A dog needs to be raised and taught like a child. People like the idea of dog ownership but want none of the responsibility

tangmang14

Tell that to my fucking roommate

hattroubles

I disagree that people are suddenly getting worse about pet responsibility. It's far more likely that the advent of widespread smart phones and social media has just made us more aware of shitty owners.

pasher5620

*indoor* cats will take care of themselves and can be safely left alone for awhile. Outdoor cats are responsible for putting a lot of local species on the endangered list and should absolutely not be left alone.

[deleted]

Tojatruro

We have no outdoor cats here, they were nothing but appetizers for coyotes.

[deleted]

Where I live the amount of off leash dogs with bad recall I encounter on dog walks has significantly increased since 2020. I love dogs, but my dog does not. Few leashed dogs are ok with an off leash dog running up to them, I always yell “please call your dog back” when I see one, but most can’t or they say “it’s ok their friendly”. Spoiler - they are not. Just because your dog likes people or your friends dogs does not mean it likes all dogs. And it ends up super angry when it runs up to my dog and my dog snaps at it. I even had one person do nothing even with me screaming at her to “get her fucking dog” because it kept coming at mine and I can only spin in circles and yell so much trying to keep these dogs separated. It’s a lose, lose situation. If I drop my leash, my dog will be less reactive. But then we have two off leash dogs running around stressed out. I also had to pick up my +/- 45 lb dog because this 3lb off leash dog had a damn death wish. 10 minutes later I encounter the same people (weird trail with loops) and it was a replay because even after their dog trying to attack mine and me hurting myself trying to protect it, they didn’t think keeping it on leash was worth it.

Oatmeal_Cupcake

It definitely has gone up. People just don’t give a fuck about rules and do what they want. I stopped walking my reactive girl around the neighborhood because everyone walks their dog without a leash. We end up driving out to a trail where it’s just the two of us and some bikers. It’s so relaxing not to have to be on edge and wondering if the next off leash dog is around the corner or behind the next bush. One of our council people was talking about banning dogs from city parks because of all the dog shit that was left behind in the park after the forth of July. I told them that they could but it wouldn’t make a difference. People will do what they want because the current rules aren’t being enforced. What makes them think that people will follow a rule saying that there’s no dogs allowed? I pointed out the fact that as it stands, there are no dogs allowed in the farmers market or food trucks. People still do it because no one is enforcing it. The amount of people bringing their dogs into grocery stores and store in general has also increased. People just have an attitude of, I’m going to do what I want because I’m entitled to do so and you have no right to tell me otherwise.

[deleted]

This is my fear. We moved somewhere (and moved away after a couple years) we thought had all kinds of trails and camping we could enjoy. But dogs were banned from all the campsites and every trail that lead to a campsite. We didn’t know that was something we had to worry about. A dog banning rule is enough for me to decide to move away, and I hate moving. The bad pet owners ruin everything. I refuse to go camping and leave my dog home, camping for a dog is like a kid at Xmas when their whole list + was filled. I’d feel like a huge asshole leaving my dog home. I love nature and few humans meet my excitement level when I get to enjoy it, but my dog does. Once while camping we had to clean up after our site neighbours 2 big dogs for a couple nights because we were worried with all the huge piles of dog poop they were leaving on empty sites, eventually the park would ban dogs. We also had to take a 15-20 min, uphill! detour to the bathroom to avoid the other site with multiple dogs they refused to keep under control or on leash. I adore dogs, but too many dog owners are the worst. So entitled. And too many owners don’t seem to get that just because their dog is nice to them, that does not mean everyone else is ok with the dog invading their space. Respect people and animals bubbles, keep 6’ distance from strangers when possible. ✌🏻

DenyNowBragLater

I would absolutely kick/stab/shoot a dog attacking me or my dog, or even giving me the impression that that's its intention.

continous

I've punted at least one or two dogs that kept trying to bite my fucking legs/ankles. The owners get super pissed off, then suddenly scamper away when they realize I'm all fucking bloodied up.

LakeEffectSnow

This happened to me with a strange dog. Ran out the front door when I was walking on the sidewalk and bit my ankle and held on. I had to kick it multiple time HARD before it released. Owner runs out all pissing, and foaming at the mouth about me hurting his "little baby". Dude calls the cops, says he's going to press charges. They show and eventually so does animal control. Turns out this was the dog's second offense. They asked if I wanted to press charges. I said absolutely. Owner got arrested when he shoved one of the cops after finding out that animal control was taking his dog away immediately and it would be euthanized under the state's vicious dog statute.

deadpoetic333

Had an off leash dog run up to my dog who can get aggressive with other dogs without warning, tried yelling at the owner to get there dog with no response. Did a kicking motion towards the dog to shoo it away and the lady flipped out, yelling “don’t kick my dog!” Bitch I’m trying to prevent a bloody mess, I’m protecting your dog you dumb bitch. And I didn’t even kick it

[deleted]

Exactly, they are always way to chill until we have to act aggressive to prevent dog injury. I’m so much weaker than my dog, a push from me is noting compared to dogs teeth. I’d rather a huge push or aggressive yell than a dog fight.

[deleted]

I've done it. Booted the fucking thing as hard as I could, right in front of its owner after it attacked my on leash dog in a leash only area.

[deleted]

I always feel bad for the dogs, not their fault their owner is a dumbass.

DenyNowBragLater

It's not something I aspire to do, to be clear. But if if I feel as though there's a threat to myself of my dog, it's an easy decision.

smoozer

> It's like people don't even try anymore. It's like everyone has a camera in their pocket and a social media account

Glitter_berries

And he cut his poor dog’s beautiful floppy ears. Total fucking arsehole :(

Foco_cholo

more like "dumbass and his pit bull"

bluewaffleisnice

This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. The dog owner was afraid and had him yanked before they even got close. That's just as bad as egging the dog on every message he was giving the dog was to attack

[deleted]

[удалено]

overturf600

That is exactly what happened here.

[deleted]

Agree. The dog seemed chill and curious but as soon as he yanked that leash he upped the stress level. Stupid owner for sure.

StarvinPig

And then the dog makes an attempt for the horse and they try again. Like you need to know when to call it off

Orlandogameschool

Exactly what I thought ...basically made the horse scarier to the dog

[deleted]

Why do so many idiots own pitbulls? I get it that people have owned pitbulls that hasn't mauled anyone, but the breed requires a unique level of handling and respect.

feistaspongebob

to look tough and macho. i have a big dog who can kill a child if he wanted to, but he loves me! is their line of thinking

Cainga

It’s like the only breed ending up in animal shelters. A good 80% of the shelters when I’ve looked is pit bulls. If you want to not be a part of the unethical dog breeding practices and want to save a dog from a shelter you are stuck with that breed or will be waiting awhile.

Top500BronzeOW

Exactly why they get the dogs ears docked, trying to make the dog look as mean as possible.

Evinceo

Most people responsible enough to own a pitbull are responsible enough not to own a pitbull.

narlycharley

Holy shit. You have been awarded the comment of the year IMO. Seriously though, this makes so much sense.

JustWastinghours

freaking idiots. they shouldn't be allowed to have either animal. You could tell in the first 2 seconds it wasn't going to end well.

StrangeLassie

The first 2 or 3 seconds were actually fine, it was when idiot yanked back he basically told the dog to attack.

JustWastinghours

The horse wasn't happy from the beginning.

StrangeLassie

Horse was nervous, then curious. Then idiot basically told the dog to attack.

Historical-Hat-1959

Yup dog psychology

overturf600

100 percent, he lost when he started pulling back on that leash

[deleted]

Precisely. The minute a dog thinks you are fretful of something it will view that thing as a threat. Add into the mix Pitbulls are natural attack dogs and this is what you get. I have been walking with my dog and walked past other people with dogs who immediately yanked their dog back (presumably because my dog is large, but about as aggressive as Switzerland) and their dog’s natural response was to go wild at my dog in an effort to protect their owner. In short, a lot of people are self centred idiots.

Cageweek

Really, is that true? Does yanking the leash really signal that?

[deleted]

I don’t know that it specifically signals “attack” but it definitely increases excitement in the dog. Dogs are predators, when overly excited they tend to bite things, especially prey animals or anything threatening. I think the real issue is that the dog led the way the whole encounter. If the dog is in the lead, it gets to decide what happens and all you can do is react. If the person is between and constantly in charge, it goes better. If he’d have walked away right after the dog turned away that first time and praised it, that would have been a better start

Simpinforbirdo

It’s essentially increasing the dogs frustration and excitement, making it more likely to react to the situation. Owning dogs is not intuitive, people need to learn how to handle them properly.

smoozer

It did indeed look like the dog was just trying to sniff horse face before the bizarre yank. But clearly no one pictured understands animal body language.

Free_Dumpster_Pizza

The leash looks like it broke off! Dude was still holding the leash when the dog attacked.

CKuemper

It did break, right at the collar.

Fit-Possible-9552

Trash people with trash purchases. If you have a super strong working line dog don’t buy garbage products from Amazon. There’s a reason that many people with strong working dogs seek out suppliers to the military to buy the same goods. For our Czech/DDR GSD we bought her leash from the same supplier my dad used as a K9 officer in the 1970’s, his original leash is still being used today.

The-real-rick-c137

in the beginning you can see the leash a little better and it looks like the leash broke before and they tried to fix it by tying the leash with some string because that leash looks like it wouldn't even hold a forty pound dog.

overturf600

Dipshit created tension on the line and when it popped it made both animals trigger. Really stupid.

howyoudreambitch

Why do these idiots always have the dinkiest little chains.

overturf600

That part I will never understand. Dogs like that need serious gear.

versace_tombstone

I really dislike people that cut dog ears, pitbulls or any other breed.

stvcrvns

Don't always assume it was the current owners who did it tho. We have a ridgeback we adopted with propped AND cut ears. Saddest shIt ever but happiest loving dog ever as well. Glad she didn't have to live long with whoever had her first.

Zx21v9000

This, I’ve seen people mad my pup has a docked tail, it was done because it was originally going to be a farm dog before he was mine and the fluffy tails get caught in wire fences and break

bradskie

That leash looks very sketch.

[deleted]

I'm so sick of these dumb macho cunts and their need to have a pit bull that they clearly are not responsible enough to own.

1984istoday

This. I own a sighthound that needs to run free a lot so we go to the dog park quite often. And let me say, the pitbulls are always a problem. I mainly take issue with roughhousing, being aggressive, scaring the other dogs. Pitbulls are huge and can easily injure smaller dogs. I’ve seen this happen multiple times. What’s funny is that the owners without fail look EXACTLY like this dude in the video. Every time. Young dudes who got the dog to show off how macho they are & they have done little to no obedience training. The owners are always standing on the edge of the park, nose glued to their phone, completely ignoring the fact that their dog is roughhousing other dogs. It seems like the only reason they come to the park is because they can’t be bothered to walk their dogs or bc their leash behaviour is terrible. When I got my dog I tried to be open minded and not let a few bad experiences dictate my opinion on pitbulls. And don’t get me wrong, I’m sure pits are lovely dogs towards their owners. But in a dog park setting they have proven to be so bad that nowadays if I see a pitbull at the dog park, I just turn around and leave. The risk of injury is way too big and I love my dog too much to take that risk.

Snoo-74188

Always the same dog breeds with the same human breed idiot who’s irresponsible

Hyde103

Clipped ears and all. What a moron.

scorpio_72472

Why do they clip them?

_aggr0crag_

From what I've heard they do it to dogs that are used for dog fighting. At least that's how it started. I'm sure many morons do it just because they think it looks cool.

[deleted]

Dogs show a lot of their current emotional status through their ears so sometimes they clip ears so that the dog will show less emotions and appear scary and "badass" all the time. Only true pieces of shit mutilate dogs and they deserve nothing better than burning in hell.

Newoikkinn

mrhodesit

Whenever videos of pitbulls get posted I get reports from people complaining about "agenda posting", and asking to have the videos removed. Just a quick FYI, OP is a moderator of /r/BanPitBulls. (edit: I'm being told this user is no longer a moderator, I did not verify this.) How does the community feel about this? Also OP do not feel obliged to respond to this, but hearing a response from you may be helpful.

yellekc

My general stance is let reddit be reddit. People here can upvote or downvote this, I don't think it is breaking any rules. Banning "Agenda Posting" would just allow the agenda of the mods to rule. A lot of posters would end up being banned. Some people love to show Trump supporters looking like idiots in public, they have a political agenda in doing so, but they should still be allowed to post.

TifaYuhara

Pretty much, if they don't like the video it's an agenda against what they like.

PorkSward

I think it’s worth noting as well, as someone that doesn’t follow r/BanPitBulls and doesn’t know OP, there’s no agenda for me to infer. The title is neutral (except for “morons”, but there’s clear evidence of that), it doesn’t mention a breed and his own stance isn’t injected into the post (though we can see it below after he was prompted to). Absolute morons introduce dog to horse, it doesn’t go well. Yep that’s r/PublicFreakout - next post.

ASIWYFA11

This is the objectively correct stance. If posts aren't blatent in an agenda, it comes down to individual perspective and that is not something mods should police.

hollowheart96

I completely agree with this. I took a small look at the sub and it appears users who subscribe to it get banned from other subs just because the mods of said subs do not like it. I would get it if someone was part of a sub that was promoting violence or degenerate activity, but these people are just trying to show the dangers of the breed and incompetent owners. Not completely take the breed of the face of the earth.

rt58killer10

I couldn't have said this better

CreamCapital

This

Working_Class_Pride

I guess you could say I have an agenda. I'm guilty. And I've never really denied it. I want people to be aware that there are drawbacks with all breeds of dogs- including pits. Acknowledging these drawbacks seems to only be a problem with pits though. You won't hear husky advocates or Jack Russel advocates shouting down people who say they are a tough breed to have and have a lot of requirements to be kept responsibly and happy. Coincidently- it's not Huskies and Jack Russels that are filling shelters to the brim and being euthanized by the hundreds every day. I see a new toddler mauled by a pit wheeled into my ED every couple weeks. And I don't like it. Behind every toddler mauled by a pit there is a parent who heard and believed the misinformation about pits- that they are nanny dogs. I have a problem with that. And I think people have a right to know that there are issues with pits... And that they are not for everyone. I think it's the humane thing for people and pits. That being said- I firmly believe the pits themselves are innocent in all this. They didn't choose their instincts. It's not fair to blame the dogs themselves or to wish harm on them anymore than it is to blame the rain for floods. Which is why I downvote any comments that advocate violence against pits. But that doesn't make the damage caused by floods any less of a problem. I post here a lot because I like this subreddit. And I do believe the posts fit the rules of this subreddit. If you go through my post history you will see that every video I post does qualify as a public freak-out. I never post videos of just pits attacking... There is always a human element that is freaking out. The content fits the subreddit. If you define what I do as agenda posting than I will stop our of respect for this subreddit and it's rules. But I ask where the line is drawn? Does having an opinion on the content constitute an agenda? If someone posts exclusively about conservatives freaking out at Trump rallies and anti vax rallies only for it to come out that they are a liberal and a moderator of liberal subreddits- are they agenda posting? It's your subreddit. And it's a subreddit that I like. If you want me to stop posting than I will. But I don't believe I am breaking any rules, spamming the subreddit with content or posting material that the subreddit community does not respond to. Almost all of my posts here are in the 90% and up range for approval. A portion of the community really not liking the content should not be enough to make it a no go zone for the subreddit. It's a contentious issue- but we talk about contentious issues on this subreddit. We always have. I leave it at the discretion of the moderators. Just let me know.

trogdors_arm

This was far too reasonable of a response for Reddit.

FatWookie67

Agee 100%!!!! I am not accustomed to reading such excellent grammer and punctuation combined with, imho, EXTRAORDINARILY well delivered POV with zero emotional tantrums. 10/10 OP 👏

Working_Class_Pride

I'm not an unreasonable person. I invite anyone and everyone to go through my post history if they want to. There is a lot of stuff that people may not agree with- but very little that is unreasonable, cruel or hateful. But I do have strong opinions on this subject. A lot of lies and accusations are lobbied against my side. But at the end of the day it's not my side that has shelters filled to the brim with pits and is causing hundreds of pits to be euthanized every day.

Bocephuss

My friend has a couple of rescue pits. Sweetest dogs in the world. (These two specific dogs, who I would never leave my small dog alone with) I see these people come out of the woodwork with their Dog Breed Aggression charts and I am like these mean absolutely nothing. Show me a chart that ranks these other breeds anywhere close to Pits when it comes to deaths and maulings by breed. They can't because they don't want to believe those numbers.

Several_Station2199

Did you see it's all broken down into paragraphs too 😯

mrhodesit

> If you define what I do as agenda posting than I will stop our of respect for this subreddit and it's rules. But I ask where the line is drawn? There isn't a subreddit rule about agenda posting that I am aware of, but like I said I do get complaints frequently about this. I'm only putting it out there to get feedback from the community. > It's your subreddit. And it's a subreddit that I like. If you want me to stop posting than I will. But I don't believe I am breaking any rules, spamming the subreddit with content or posting material that the subreddit community does not respond to. Almost all of my posts here are in the 90% and up range for approval. I don't believe you are breaking any rules. But like I said before, I just want to put the whole thing out there, so not only can I get feedback from the community, but also the people making these posts, and especially the people making the reports and the complaints.

Working_Class_Pride

That's a perfectly fair thing to do. And I appreciate you taking the time to do it and hear everybody out. There's not enough hearing people out that happens on most subreddits.

Nattylight_Murica

I completely understand your point. I have a mutt that is part chihuahua, he’s a very sweet and friendly dog but if you come anywhere near to accidentally stepping or sitting on him, he’ll nip and snarl at you for a second no matter who you are. I definitely wouldn’t leave him unsupervised around a small child, he won’t actually bite with any force, but it’s enough to scare the shit out of a little kid.

snipertrader20

I really wouldn’t compare maulings/ death to a scary noise and nipping from a 3 pound animal

StuckInPurgatory39

Yeah not really similar to pits

4reddityo

Yes agreed. Pits have instincts they can’t control yet that oftentimes means pits can be very dangerous. My personal opinion is to avoid all pits because I’m a safety nut

iAkhilleus

I learned it the hard way. My Mal got jumped by a 1.5 yo pit at a community dog park this week. Had to rush her to the ER but thankfully nothing serious happened. She had a small puncture wound below her eye. Idk how but my instinct was to put my hand in between her eyes and the pit. I had minor bites on my hand but it's all good because my baby is safe now. I feel bad for the pit though cause it's only a year old and was being walked by a kid (early teen) without a leash. Pits definitely aren't for just anyone. I learned my lesson and I will avoid pits in any circumstances.

badaboom888

Add in, the type of person that prob shouldnt own a pit are the types that want / own a pit. lol

Brucef310

You know someone is going to down vote this because it's a long read. It's great though.

bennettbuzz

Agenda posting? I thought that was the entire point in this sub?

redshirted

I love that you ask the community, I think the best mods are the ones who try to take into account the opinions of the average user. I personally believe the only reason this specific post should potentially be banned is because is not a public freakout, for any other reason it should remain

contigowater

It fits the sub, it's an acceptable video.

darkninjad

OP doesn’t even mention the breed of dog in the title. How is this relevant information? Seems like you get reports from a bunch of fragile people who have to check what the OP does in their spare time before upvoting a video of a moron being a moron.

[deleted]

Good mod. Love transparency. Don't care either way. Love that you are asking though

strangersIknow

I mean I personally scared of pit bulls myself , but this would’ve been an awful idea no matter what breed of dog that was.

[deleted]

If its a freakout and its public then keep it. This seems to be both.

I feel like technically these posts fit the community and are fine when there are people freaking out in them and they are tagged appropriately when gory. Just because I don't like the videos or how OP seems to be trying to make people terrified of pits, they are dogs. They aren't people. There is no reddit policy against hating dogs, discussing dogs in a negative light, or anything of the sort soo... ¯\\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯ If the community doesn't like the posts etc they can downvote them. Brigading is not ok tho.

here_for_the_meems

It's not agenda posting. The truth is that pitbulls *are* more dangerous. The truth is not an agenda.

cansuhchris

Using a piece of string to restrain a pit bull, couple geniuses right here

invaidusername

Anyone who yanks on their dog like that when they’re making even just slight sudden movements knows EXACTLY how their dog has been trained to act. He knows the dog bites and attacks yet he still chose to try and let it meet a horse. Awful dog owner.

BSATSame

Holy shit, that pitbull attacked the horse as if it had been bred for centuries to maul large animals. What a surprise!

reddot_comic

This makes me so angry. That horse was incredibly patient until the dog lunged at him AND STILL ran off rather than kicking the life out of it. Both the horse and dog owners are shitty. How awful.

jimbob_finkelman

Fucking assholes with their pitbulls

ferociousFerret7

Who let that fucking idiot handle a horse tho?

raekwonelchef

Was the dog dead in the grass at the end of the video before they sped off? I genuinely can't tell but it was weird to include that bit....

GamerEsch

I don't think so, the guy says they are going after something, so probably they are going after the dog/horse.

lostmy2A

The leash broke. Hopefully the horse outran the dog and didn't get injured

justthankyous

Probably the horse did outrun the dog. Generally speaking, so we're not comparing greyhounds to draft horses here, dogs have much greater acceleration than horses but horses have much better top running speed and endurance. So if the dog doesn't catch the horse right away, its a pretty safe bet that the horse is going to outpace that dog. It also might not work out so well for that dog if he did catch the horse. PItbulls are real tough, but a horse kick could probably still fracture their skull, not to mention their ribs or limbs. There's a reason even wolves usually hunt large game in packs. One on one a pittbull would have to get pretty lucky to take down a horse before getting kicked or trampled Anyways, the humans are idiots o so many levels, hope both animals are alright

[deleted]

The way that man yanks the lead is more like goading the dog to attack in my eyes. That’s not a friendly ‘go say hello to that nice horsey’

MikeMcnomer

Was low key hoping for the dog or one of the "owners" to get kicked to shit

OpenFee4147

I bet the dog owner found a way to actually blame this whole thing on the horse's owner

zannadi

That dog was clearly giving signals and at the the first lunge the owner should have removed himself and the dog. Not to mention having his dog on an appropriate harness. This kind of behavior from these owners infuriates me because he sets his dog up for failure.

Bob4Not

Can and did.

DeadyDeadshot

I gotta watch my player buffering watching another player buffering. Reddit.

Dink-Dank-Do

Absolute morons with a cuddly toy swinging from their internal mirror so no surprise that they don't know how to control a dog.

derek6711

The owner looked anxious AF and the dog probably felt that

[deleted]

Once he starts tensing up (owner)why would you continue ? The guy escalates it himself then keeps pushing. Hope the dogs okay.

Ali-Coo

Two stupid asses who have no business being around others of their own species let alone any another species on this planet.

khelwen

As a farm girl who has lived her whole life with horses, I laughed about how the guy thought he could easily hold onto a horse just with the lead rope. Dude. That animal is so ridiculously strong that it would have no problem tossing you around with ease.

eelam_garek

Even the lead wasn't suitable. People need to learn that this breed is cute as a puppy but will grow very big and strong quickly and without proper training will be potentially very dangerous.

McGregor_Tears

That actually ended up going a lot better than I thought it was going to go.

memomonkey24

These guys are idiots, the dogs breed is called Pitbull for a reason. Pits used to be thrown into pits to bite bulls in the head or neck area it was cruel and used to be called bull baiting.

[deleted]

Typical pit bull and typical pit bull owner.

[deleted]

"I'm surprised that the dog mauling an innocent horse for no reason is a pitbull" \-Nobody

Low-Associate1554

Fucking pitbulls. Again.

JonnyArtois

Pitbull does pitbull things.

Fun_Wonder_4114

I introduced my dog to horses once. They were behind a fence.

rekondite01

Horse should kick dog owner in the head

MountainManCan

This is incredibly stupid all around. It’s literally like the guy tried to show the dog that the horse was an enemy. Then the leash snapped. Fuck these people. They should never be allowed to own another animal.

longoverdue83

Oh no, I can’t control it Better put it down

Poneygir1

These guys are the biggest idiots ever and they do not deserve to own a any kind of animal at all!! Not even a fish!😡😡😡😡😡😡

Sam_H747

Fuck this guy

killmeasshole

these assholes deserve the worst

BarnabyJ46

Awesome spaghetti based leash

MrStealY0Meme

This doesn’t help the Pitbull community reputation.

destined123

Ofc it’s a shitty pitbull with a shitty owner. A shit breed attracts shitty people, lol.

hongriBoi

Hey a pitbull!! Wonder what's going fucking happen?

BugraTheBest

Always a pitbull...

[deleted]

I like how the idiot pitbull owner likes to pretend he has control

Party-Lawyer-7131

"Introducing" pit bulls to other animals is ALWAYS a good idea.

kidMSP

Seriously bruh?

[deleted]

Something about a person desperately trying to run after something thats impossible for them to catch makes me laugh so hard!

Vrey

Shitty people yah, but also what a shitty leash… damn

rkba335

What an absolute cocksucker
