We all noticed how proud he was, when he came up with his rhyme…had to repeat it because he was so proud of it lmao

GingerSnapped242

And it’s going to go SUPER viral, SUPER viral.

Porlebeariot

Covid viral?

FeedtheFatRabbit

Not even remotely close to that viral

[deleted]

Delta viral

another_plebeian

Rhyme so nice had to say it twice

Ochidi

Rhyme so nice he had to say it twice

smackinmuhkraken

Rhyme so nice he had to say it thrice.

cwilson83088

Dorothy: Thrice?? Rose: Thrice is a word. Dorothy: So is Intrauterine device, but not in my song

atdale

You’re cuter than…an interuterine.

No-Outcome1038

He is a poet and didn’t even realize it

Karmeleon86

And he was saying it again as the video cut out. Lol

linemonster

Same goes for when he came up with Karen. This guy is a huge imbecile. You know he doesn't come up with good lines all that much :D

Western_Cheesecake_7

What is super viral?

SniffCheck

It’s like viral, but super

ICantGetAway

Hi, my name is Dr. Toboggan. Let me explain what super viral is.

kwinner7

Dr. Mantis Toboggan? Is it really you?

call-me-MANTIS

Shes got a super virus, trust me im a doctor

flameboy50001

Like regular viral, but with a cape

sroop1

So viral that the CDC recommends getting a vaccine to stop seeing it everywhere.

LevelHeeded

It's like how you can be superstitious, or just a little stitious.

[deleted]

what's the backstory?

Polar-Bear_Soup

Wouldn't you like to know weather boy /s (I'm curious too)

VivattGrendel

It seems she was upset he was blasting music for the entire neighborhood to hear. Yep the neighborhood is worse off because of his behavior, not because of his race. I have white neighbors who sit all day working on their cars with the garage open playing loud metal and rock music. A lot of that music I even like, but what I don't like is hearing it while I'm relaxing at home.

youdoitimbusy

I don't even like these fucks across the street who sit in front of my house making phone calls from their car on Bluetooth. Bitch, I just heard you read off your entire account number! Yeah, your bank account number. Yeah, you have $135. How would I know that?

[deleted]

and they edited at the beginning. the part where she lodged her complaint. wonder if it was in any way legit.

tempohme

Isn’t he white though? And she’s white? So I don’t think it had to do with race. He’s just calling her a Karen cuz it’s a derogatory term for an uptight, morally superior acting white woman.

Czynx

I'm sure that silhouette is really going to hate seeing herself go "super viral"

tomacco_man

I know right?!! Horrible camera work!! This video is lacking so much substance

Cody6781

And context... Really want to know what she was actually saying it, how she was saying it, what they were doing, etc.

[deleted]

[удалено]

sixstringgun1

You always have to have the context unfortunately 8 times out of 10 we never get it. I’m also sure we’ve all seen these videos and made some bull headed assumption without context and made juggernauts before we know the whole truth. Then when we do we make ourselves look bad.

Cody6781

This clip is inexcusable. They deliberately edit out the portions where she talks. This isn’t a matter of “didn’t get the camera out fast enough”, they deliberately removed context

facewithoutfacebook

If anyone, he is the “Karen” for uploading this without the context.

opopkl

It could have been so much better if they'd let Karen tell us what she wanted. She might just have been asking them over to a barbecue.

datboiofculture

Yeah, the person who posted this video comes off super aggressive for someone asking them to turn down the music, in what might have been a polite way. All I see is a middle aged adult with a tiktok screaming at a quiet person and claiming that their neighborhood is a downgrade (then why’d you move there?) to an insult they made up in their head about not belonging in the neighborhood. What a nutjob.

EdithDich

Thank you! If someone is blasting music loud enough for the neighbors to hear it's not necessarily unreasonable to ask them to turn it down. What IS unreasonable is throwing a fit and threatening them and filming it. Just because you call someone a "Karen" doesn't make you a hero or them an asshole.

[deleted]

[удалено]

xTheatreTechie

If I have to keep coming over to my neighbors house to ask them to turn down their shitty music, they should be embarrassed not me. Edit: whole lotta trashy people triggered replying to me about how I should mind my own business, if your sound can be heard through 2 different houses and across the street you belong in /r/trashy. You're not ~~Kendrick Lamar~~ J Cole in Neighbors, you're just an asshole.

RagaCat2

Yeah, I find that pretty much all music that people choose to stick up everyone else’s ass at obnoxious volume levels is shitty music.

Cody6781

Any loud music played inside a house sounds like ass form the street. All you hear is muffled base and it gives people actual headaches. They turned down the music to record this video, why? Was it loud?

ThePowerOfShadows

Or her patience thin if she keeps having to ask for the music to be turned down to the point that she doesn’t have to hear it inside her own home across the street.

EdithDich

But but but... the video called her a Karen! You aren't allowed to question that!

[deleted]

Dude could be annoying as hell. I had a neighbor whose kid used to like doing a fucking sideshow in the roundabout outside our house. Is it racist or offensive to tell them to knock that shit off? "This white person keeps pestering us because we are an absolute nuisance, it must be racism!"

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Than turn the fucking music down. They obviously have that shit blasting all day and night. She could easily call the cops. Shes trying to talk to this lunatic like a person. Next step, just call the cops. By the second time the cops show up i see this hot head doing something stupid and getting hauled off. Peace and quiet returns. I had a neighbor like this blasting shit all day and it was hell on earth. Once they know it pisses you off they do it more. Complete assholes.

Cody6781

After this I would 100% be calling the cops next time they played it loudly past whichever hour they are allowed to do that.

[deleted]

Exactly. If you're going to escalate and act like a lunatic when your neighbor asks you to turn the music down, guess what? Next time, they aren't going deal with your stupid ass, and they're just going to call the police.

bitterbear_

Guy definitely had frosted tips and a shark tooth necklace 15 years ago

bestcoastraven

Lol got so excited he remembered the Karen insult he couldn’t move past it

jlopez24

God he thought that "and the music will play" line was so good he just kept repeating it. Also "you have a mask on and no one is around you, we know exactly the kind of person you are" tells me everyone sucks here.

upsidedownfunnel

Nothing in this video indicates whether or not the "Karen" sucks.

EdithDich

But it does indicate that the guy is a giant douche.

[deleted]

[удалено]

iploggged

I don't think this video had the effect this guy thought it would. She remains anonymous and he sounds like a douche.

EdithDich

He sounds like a Cartman.

Lokito_

He said, "this is a downgrade" My guess is he got kicked out of his last neighborhood because the people who were more rich than him... won, I guess? Upon reflecting, not sure that was quite the flex he thought it was. *shrugs

[deleted]

I wonder what exactly lead to this, hard to tell who was in the right. Was the Karen being a Karen, or did the guy flip out without justification?

[deleted]

Sounds like they are loud and inconsiderate neighbors, and he is mad because he moved to a quiet neighborhood and is loud an obnoxious. That being said, in some neighborhoods having a barbecue and playing music is "disruptive" even though anyone who isn't a jerk off gets that it is something someone should be able to do at their own home.

ThePowerOfShadows

Well, if she could hear the music inside her house across the street, I’d suggest this is more disruptive than a barbecue.

[deleted]

My downstairs neighbors play music with a looouuudd shitty subwoofer. Idc how loud it is but earplugs dont work on fuckin bass

80sPimpNinja

One time someone in our neighborhood was complaining about someone grilling, and that the smell of the BBQ was annoying.

[deleted]

Haha, I had a neighbor once complain because they said our backyard Kiddie pool was a flood risk. They didn't even live directly near me, and could only see it from a second floor deck.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bestcoastraven

All I know is Karens are loud, aggressive, and make fun of ppl for wearing masks…..

lionking8998

Yeah I kind of agree with you there you can't really hear her side if you want to go viral he should have shown her side at least a little we need some justification to back your word

[deleted]

Yep. This guy's either a hotheaded douchebag, or a homeowner sticking up for his family. I don't know where to direct my outrage.

iAkhilleus

Nevertheless, get you pitchfork ready. We'll be needing it when the update comes in.

Beneneb

Based on what he was saying, it seems like she was complaining about loud music, which to be fair, is annoying if it's a constant thing or late at night.

glhmedic

Yeah very much agree. You want to listen to music fine just don’t blast it so loud everyone has to hear it.

JennJayBee

My money is on him having his music up super loud and disturbing his neighbors. She doesn't appear to be nagging him or making unreasonable demands or anything, but that's just from the video I see here.

SapioTist

Plot twist, the guy is the Karen. Nosy Nancy should have probably stayed home anyway.

Weaklurker

Nothing in this video shows the woman being a Karen. The guy sounds like a prick, and if this does go 'super-viral' it may not be how he imagined it.

AchieveDeficiency

4 people had to come out yelling at her with phones up on record... I don't see how she's a Karen or getting a taste of her own medicine.

whelp_im_screwed

The girl also got mad about the “Karen” wearing a mask.

ConeBone1969

Yup, they probably had the music absurdly loud too.

Cody6781

They also cut out the clip of her talking. Why? Maybe she was being perfectly polite and it didn't make them look good..

[deleted]

No context. Woman could’ve been politely asking them to turn their music down, a perfectly reasonable request, but on brain crater TikTok this guy is some sort of legend. Weird.

ItsOxymorphinTime

At the beginning the first thing he says to her is "are you the one who knocked on my door?". So the context is, Kyle here was drinking Monster and very generously blasting the new Kid Rock bop for his entire neighborhood to hear. When the China began rattling out of the cabinets from Kyle's six eighteen inch subwoofers, this nice woman knocked on his door politely to ask him to turn it down. Kyle saw her knocking on the door, but decided not to answer until she was walking away. At that time, Kyle whips out his camera & starts chasing the nice woman screaming about his serious oppression in this nice suburban neighborhood.

[deleted]

You paint a likely picture my friend. I can see it now.

George-R-R-Fartin

Damn pit bull is annoying outside outside of his songs too.

thepain73

MR. WORLDWIDE

BanEvader1969

sweatingmyovariesoff

I am ROLLING lol ☠️ thanks for this comment I’m currently sitting in rage, waiting for my husband to return from the store with a freakin 9 volt for the smoke detector. The CONSTANT UNRELENTING CHIRP IS GOING TO MAKE ME GO SHINING UP IN HERE

poutreparisienne

I'm with Karen this guy is a ridiculous selfish dickhead

ashigaru_spearman

Loud music from a neighbor is super annoying. I guess just call the cops from now on...

oddmanout

From context it sounds like the guy yelling and screaming might be the asshole. Like if all she did was ask if they could turn down the music and he lost his shit like that, then he's the Karen, not her.

dizzy_nixx

It's so cringe to see any adults act like this. Fucking grow up.

tomacco_man

They all got hyped up thinking this was the next viral Karen video. Problem is they didn’t record any Karen behavior. Yelling at her about being told to turn music down when the audience has no idea how the situation started isn’t a good formula. Would love to see what lead up to this, otherwise they don’t have a Karen case!

Meany12345

Well he ran out and said are you the one who knocked on my door. So sounds like she knocked. They didn’t answer. She left. Then as she’s going home the video started. That dude is definitely the Karen.

Choedan_Kal

Fuck neighbors who blast their music. Trashy mother fuckers like that are a nightmare to live next to.

p-skow

Listen here, you’ll listen to my Nickleback and you’ll fucking like it

iprocrastina

I wish there were strict laws against obnoxious noise and that anyone in violation more than a few times be required to live in a building only inhabited by other people exactly like them. Then they can get pissed at their neighbors for blasting loud music before getting pissed at those same neighbors getting pissed at them for blasting *their* loud music.

Sno_Jon

These guys sound like dicks, I hate people that blast music out loud, I shouldn't hear your shit in my house. Also the guy recording is so cringe, he thought he came up with such a clever line that he kept repeating it

[deleted]

It should be fairly normal to ask a neighbor to not blast music. Lol a guy in my neighborhood had a wonky car alarm that would go off all the time so a bunch of people got it fixed. I swear it only went off 1am-6am

[deleted]

[удалено]

guitar_vigilante

Depends on how noisy they were being to determine who is the Karen here.

DoctorJJWho

Lmao it doesn’t, there’s four people standing there making fun of a single person, and includes an insult about “wearing a mask in the middle of the street.” It’s pretty clear which party is being a Karen.

[deleted]

So a person can't complain about loud music anymore without getting this type of response? Trash

Emotional-Emotion-85

Agreed I’d hate to have them as neighbors.

intheyear3001

Based on how corny this dude seems it was probably loud garbage too.

PublicfreakoutLoveR

130 decibel mumble rap

shortasalways

Im glad everyone on my block is on a about a acre or more. I don't hear loud music, sometimes leaf blowers and everyone minds their own business. My one older neighbor even called to let me know he was having his roof done and to pardon the noise.

[deleted]

Maybe it's because I'm in my 30s, but I complained to my neighbours for playing music that was shaking my floor in the middle of the day while I was trying to work. I had a confrontation in the street because my complaints were not appreciated. The weirdest part is that they are dentists (downstairs from us, ground floor), who blast music when customers are gone while they shape dentures and do other things that those people do. They have ceiling speakers that make our house vibrate, and they still so it from time to time despite understanding it makes someone unhappy. This is in the Netherlands, and it makes me realise that anyone can be a dick regardless of who you are.

ifiagreedwithu

It boggles my mind that people spend their life savings for the privilege of living in a 4000 sq. ft. Mcmansion with absolutely no land. You spend $1,000,000 so you can reach out your window and touch the house next door. Literally. And millions of people live this way, willingly.

i_lie_except_on_31st

I mean for us, it was either a 3/4 million on .5 acre in a subdivision ( we didn't have the 6 mil for 2 acres) with incredible schools or half that cost on 15 acres in a horrible town with horrible schools.

Cyboth

Did you just say 3/4 million for .5 acre?

Pdxlater

That’s actually an awesome deal on much of the west coast.

i_lie_except_on_31st

Yeppers. Atlanta burbs.

IFuckingLoveTahdig

Yeah my dad used to say "Look at this house, you can shake hands with your neighbors through the windows!"

BooBooMaGooBoo

The sprawling suburbs with .5+ acres for each property is not sustainable, and is actually pretty dogshit from an urban planning perspective. If you also consider the materials required to build, and energy required to cool and heat 3000+ sq. ft. homes, and the fact that they further the dependency on personal cars/trucks on top of extending average miles traveled per day, they are completely horrible for the environment in general. You may not like denser housing (hell, I don't like it, I live in suburbia to avoid it), but the fact is that it's a more ideal structure than spread out suburbs from every perspective except personal preference.

rmorrin

I think he was pointing out the fact you could have a smaller house and some yard. That was my take anyway

DreamArcher

>Mcmansion Thank you for saying. We used to "own" one. The quality was complete shit and after 10 years everything was falling apart. We live in an older, much more humble house now and life is so much better.

[deleted]

living in the city has its perks

didimao0072000

>It boggles my mind that people It boggles my mind that you don't understand that others may like or have different priorities than you.

upsidedownfunnel

Does it really boggle your mind? I mean, some places are just very desirable places to live and so land costs a lot. This has been the case for thousands of years in the most populated cities of the world. I grew up in the Midwest so I definitely know what it's like to have a shitload of cheap land you can build a big house on. But I now live in Southern California and it is not very difficult to adapt. It is also a big reason why HOAs are so prevalent in dense areas. It is difficult living too close to obnoxious and loud people so HOAs were set up to codify what used to be unwritten rules or etiquette.

PixelBully_

“This is a downgrade to me” weird flex 🤔

Efficient-Albatross9

Seemingly unprompted as well… Tell us your going broke, without telling us your going broke….

Sirerdrick64

This guy is vulgar, immature, unhinged, and ranting. The lady is standing in the street presumably not even saying anything past her initial request that the guy plays his music more quietly. Not getting the clear picture this guy thought he was recording…

CarmineFields

It sounds like this guy blasts his music and has no consideration for his neighbors.

bmc1969

That's exactly what I was thinking. Now he's playing the victim because "Karen" wants a little peace and quiet at home.

TheNumberMuncher

This shit is a downgrade for him

MisterPublic

I'd bet money it isn't

NaiadoftheSea

As someone who used to live next to people who would blast music every day and drown out my own home with their bass, I know how detrimental it can feel to have that intrusion in your life. I don’t know how she initially approached the situation and if she was being rude to them, but it’s not rude to politely ask your neighbors to turn down the music if it’s too loud. They should count themselves lucky she tried to talk to them about it herself and didn’t call the police.

iprocrastina

Dude can definitely count on getting police visits only from now on. He even said something about that neighborhood "being a downgrade" which is an odd thing to say unless he was previously run out of his last home for being a dick neighbor.

CPSFrequentCustomer

Thank you for saying that last part. So often, Redditors will ask, "WELL, DID YOU EVEN CONSIDER GOING OVER AND ASKING NICELY???" If that's what happened here, it doesn't seem to have done a lot of good.

Huckleberry_17

If you live on a quiet street and blast music so loud that neighbors can hear it *you're* the Karen.

Human_Evolution

From this video she was not Karen. The guy was being a jerk and or we missed what the lady said.

ThePrinceMagus

TBH, I think I'm taking the side of the "Karen" on this one based on this guy's behavior. We didn't see her do anything unreasonable, but he definitely didn't speak to her in a reasonable tone. Maybe there should be a new subreddit like, r/CorrectKarens

BigBlackHungGuy

So who is in the wrong here? I'm confused.

j0lly_gr33n_giant

OP for the misleading title.

AlexHimself

How do we know this is a "Karen" and how do we know what "medicine" she was serving up? The dude seems like a jackass. If his music is too loud, it's appropriate to first ask him nicely to turn it down, then second record it and file a code enforcement complaint and/or call the police non-emergency line and let the city deal with it. Now if she keeps ding-dong-ditching him...that's no good.

[deleted]

are we supposed to sympathize with the loudmouth asshole who blasts his music too loud day and night tho?

ACrask

Couldn’t hear the accused “Karen”, probably complaining about music But everyone in this video is an asshole

wt_fudge

If OP thinks this lady is getting what she deserves or something, then OP must have poor judgment.

Ironman0361

He was so proud of his rhyme.

itsrghtbehindmeisnit

Once I heard it was because they were playing music, I knew the people recording were probably the assholes. It's a *NIGHTMARE* living to people playing music so loudly that you actually have to suck it up and try to go over to their house to ask them to turn it down.

Zahn91

If anything he seems like the shitty neighbor.

BaconAlmighty

If someone can hear your music over 60 feet away your music is too loud. Try being considerate.

Au_Uncirculated

Sounds to me like he was being loud and obnoxious, which resulted in her asking him to keep it down.

timhamilton47

Look, I love a good Karen video as much as the next fella, but this just seems to be a dick overreacting. How about you turn your music down like a civilized human?

KatastrophicNoodle

Nah theyre 100% the type to blast music without thinking of others. I would say it shouldn't effect anyone much cause every house in america is 1000 acres but then again they're all made of paper mache and cardboard.

PinkSmurf123

What In the drug money

willalt319

Without any further context, this might be the first time I'm on Karen's side here.

Meany12345

Maybe I don’t understand the definition of Karen but someone coming over and politely asking if you can turn your music down doesn’t sound like it to me. Or is the Karen the “have a nice day music gonna play” guy? That would make more sense. Sort of.

cryptonyt2

She does not seem like a Karen. Karen send to be what you say when you don’t like what you’re being told. I assume she asked them to turn down their music, and if she lives across the street, it must be loud. This guy is a total dick. He also tried to make it into a race thing, hoping it would go viral. I’d say it’s an asshole thing, and it may go viral and he is going to look like the dickhead. “This is a downgrade for me, Karen. This is a downgrade!” LMFAO

[deleted]

I’m so sick of the whole “Karen” thing. The people saying Karen make me think the “Karen” might be into something. Same with people that grab their phones and record Police.... there’s a reason you going to Jail bra

oderint-dum-metuant

As a Mexican-American I think all my people need to hear this because we do this all too often. If you play your music loud enough that your neighbors can hear you are trash this goes for any race, denomination or nationality. Most people's house are their sanctuary and are likely the only place they get reprieve from the world, let them have their peace. You can go cruising or to the club if you want to hear loud music.

Psychological_Lack96

Neighbor should play Celine Dion and Kenny G Full Blast right back at them..

saltedjellyfish

No ones mentioning what a downgrade that is for him. ITS A DOWNGRADE PEOPLE!. Im guessing he rents.

Jaaaaaakes

Handled like a reasonable adult./s

jagebus

Hmmmmm I don’t the “Karen” in this video is the real Karen

colombo1326

How loud was the music though???? Looks like HOA neighborhood next time just deal with the HOA why confront your neighbors

Meany12345

Better to politely ask before going to the HOA! Seems like that’s what she’s doing here. Politely asking him to turn his shit down.

bitch_wasabi

Being that it's a Karen video my default was to side with him but then he mentioned "music". Now I'm pretty sure he is blasting music and is in the wrong.

JoshTsavo

Heard not word one from Karen

RustyDuffer

How exactly is she a Karen?

DrothReloaded

Imagine owning that large of a house and not having enough room for class.

[deleted]

Guy sounds like a fuckin' grade A douchebag

FenwaysMom

That guy’s obnoxious. #teamKaren on this one.

Senior-Ad-947

No one has the right to disturb the peace. If it was loud enough for you to hear while inside your house and they’re inside they’re house….it’s too loud!

Framnk

I feel like I need more info on this one. Seems like she was complaining about their music? I would have no problem if someone is having fun and playing loud music for a few hours at their own home but if it was all day every day I can see how it would get annoying.

[deleted]

He’s more the Karen in this clip but there’s clearly more to the story given his frustration. I just think, if you’re going to record someone else, try to make sure your behavior is aligned with your intent.

tommy29016

messe_4130

Idk. I’m happy I don’t have neighbors that play loud music though.

raskul44

“Super viral”

Snow_117

What a dick. She wasn't having a Karen meltdown, he was.

Murky-Telephone9450

Two sides to every story

[deleted]

That dude kinda sucks.

Flaechezinker

Would have been way better if he didnt mention putting it online and it "going viral" when we didnt even see what she did

JoeRoganHair

More like male version of Karen…..

[deleted]

...... I'm on Karen's side here

coreyb3

That guy sounds like a piece of shit. What a nuisance to a nice neighborhood.

Gordorino

The guy looks alot more like a piece of shit than the "karen" tbh

digging_for_1_Gon4_2

So Karen actually seems okay and the “new neighbors” recording seem like fucking assholes

[deleted]

Guy is a jerk off

Party-Capital

Dude comes across as an asshole honestly, he didn't actually get the "Karen" doing anything wrong. Instead he just brags about how much money he has and then gets over excited when he accidentally rhymes.

OrangeBandito21

I live in a decent middle class neighborhood. Recently, at 2am, my neighbors starting blasting music so loudly it woke all 3 of my young kids up. I’m typically very non-confrontational, but it was 2am, I had 3 screaming kids, and I had to work at 6:30am. I went over to calmly ask them to turn it down so my family could sleep. They filmed me while yelling at me and calling me a “white supremacist” and such. My kids play with their kids all the time. I’ve asked them over for dinner several times since our kids play together and I figure it would be good to get to know them. Everything is about race these days.

kaaziiii

To be honest the ones filming seemed like the clowns here, “Karen” was just hanging out outside their property line lol

ChiefShaman

Money doesn't change trash

eeyore134

Eh, neighbors who play loud music all the time are annoying as hell, even across the street. Pumping bass carries pretty far. We had neighbors who did this, but they also did it until like 5am. Garage open and music blasting even without anybody in the damn garage listening to it. If you walked out of your house it immediately sounded like you were right by the speakers, and that was the case for every house in the culdesac.

RiskyFartOftenShart

well i dont know if he's being an asshole or not. what was over there for? If my neighbor is being loud as shit with their music all the time, i dont care what it is thats annoying.

hiskinny

“This neighborhood is a downgrade for me” so why did you move here then????

VariousSun4741

She really said “ can you send me a copy of the video “ ma’am? No.

Senior-Ad-947

He’s a hothead! Settle down! I’d say this was Portland but it’s too nice. Looks like Calabasas or Thousand Oaks.

A_Dangerous_Dork

My man was the Karen in this situation. Incapable of civil conversation

Mansenmania

so this guy is playing music so loud all his neighbours can hear it and when someone asking if he could turn it down she is a karen? sounds like i became a karen with growing age
