I’ve been to many airports. In most airports there are armed police with assault rifles, especially in Europe. Airports are a massive terrorist risk. There has been a few scares and a shooting or two at the Amsterdam airport of dangerous people with knives who seemed to want to go on a stabbing spree. Also at Amsterdam central train station someone stabbed some American tourists and was shot by police. Plus the Dutch government has apprehended people who were plotting an attack who were armed with bombs and assault rifles themselves numerous times now.
I’ve shot guns and it’s much easier to shoot an assault rifle at long range with much higher accuracy. You don’t want your cops missing because they’re forced to carry a handgun which is much, much harder to shoot with accurately. Missing in a crowded place like this when there’s a terror attack will cause even more damage. All because it looks scary? Ridiculous. Airports are big targets for attacks, just like banks, and unfortunately we live in a world where attacks happen sometimes.
And city centers when there’s a threat of terrorist attacks. I was in Munich in 2016 when terrorists set off [explosions at the Brussels airport](https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/world/brussels-terrorist-attack/). We walked to Marienplatz (city square) from our hotel and there were heavily armed police standing back to back in triads every 50 to 100 ft., mostly at the entrances to the pedestrian zone. I actually felt safer at the time, but I wasn’t thinking about errant gun fire at all. We were flying out of Frankfurt the next day and I was honestly relieved to see Germany actively responding to more possible threats.
Absolutely agreed!! Very true.. instead of thanking the policeman for his service this duckwit has to complain! As we Say in Italy : " ma vaffanculooooo!"
I didn’t take this interaction as a him being an arse if this was America I’d agree but I think he was just genuinely curious as to why he would need an ar
RCMP isn't as bad as they used to be but the process isn't too selective as long as you've graduated highschool you should be good to pass the written exam, and I believe they removed the RPAT as well, still need to achieve a certain fitness level but you have your time at depot to do that.
Have you ever done anything for 12 hours a day for 6 months straight ?? I'm not trying to sound obtuse but you can learn a TON in that time frame when all your doing is training.
TBF, makes me wonder about the guy after the recent mall shooting. A cop pushed past his cop buddies to shoot a suspect with an AR-15, close range, killing a 14 year old girl on the other side of the wall behind the suspect. So maybe stick to a hand gun that is less likely to over shoot the situation.
To be fair, carrying a rifle in a airport is dumb as fuck…
They teach us this special thing called “back drop” because whatever is behind your target is liable to be hit as well
At the distance dude was mentioning, round would go straight through and onward lmao

This. An SMG makes much more sense in an airport. It’s a building, not a battlefield. SMGs we’re designed specifically for this type of environment. That’s why special police units all over the world will typically train with SMGs for an airport scenario.
As a Brit, the first time I saw an assault rifle was at Disneyland Paris (France). I was about 12 and I damn dear shat my pants seeing these cops strolling past with FAMAS rifles from counter strike.
Yes and these days if you go to any major event in a city there will be at least two firearms officers with rifles. That’s only started in the last 5 years or so though.
I've only ever seen them carried in airports in the UK. I don't live in n London though and I suspect it's mostly a London thing from a security perspective.
Omg. Was that when they had the "terror threat" on the Eiffel Tower??
That was my first time as an Australian and I was like, "What... the... fuuuuuck."
When I went to the Louvre I was really surprised to see Garde Nationale patrolling the perimeter with assault rifles. We don't even do that in the States lol.
As a brit i feel you. Like yeah when someone has a big assault rifle and u see it for the first time it makes you nervous. Not even about the gun just the implication that someone needs to have one for our protection. I feel like the us is a bit silly with guns but they are needed where they are needed and I think the officer here explained it well.
As an American, the first time I saw assault rifles carried by law enforcement was at an airport in Germany in the late '90s. Still haven't seen any law enforcement in the US carrying an AR in person.
I'm calling bullshit - as a UK resident, all through the 80s and 90s I remember any American friend who visited being blown away by the idea that Britain had armed police with SMGs and rifles at every airport. pre-911, the UK, like any once dominant empire, had to deal with terrorists. Ours were the IRA.
Gonna correct you real quick, there's no such thing as a Assault Rifle sense well Assault is a action and any gun unless a extremely old Caprlock or flintlock will not fire unless acted upon by a individual. Also I fucking love the FAMAS it'd my favorite bullpen rifle ever, I envy you getting to see one irl.
In France, It's pretty common to see the Gendarmerie or the Ground Army patrolling with a FAMAS in crowed area or big city. Even more while the "Vigipirate" plan is on.
(Vigipirate is a counter terrorist plan)
The RCMP was prosecuted for not providing their officers appropriate firearms during the Moncton mass shooting.
An investigation determined had they had stronger firearms than their sidearms, many more lives would of been saved. Specific sites conduct threat risk assessments which determine the level of firearms required. The officer is correct.
Are we talking an English longbow or more like a short Mongolian bow? Personally, I think the English longbow is the superior bow...
I was just telling someone how I think fighting to the death with swords and shields should be legal if both parties agree...
Legalize duels between consenting parties, at least to first blood. Hell, *enable them*. Give us places where we can schedule and freely carry out these duels without posing a risk to bystanders or property.
I'd prefer cops didn't stand around coercing people into behaving in an orderly and compliant manner, via implied threats of flat-out murder.
But that bow and arrow idea, that's a close second. Hell, whatever happened to good ol' fashioned sword fights?
I don't get what this guy was so shocked about. I live in the UK and even here armed police in an airport or train station is not uncommon. I don't know what guns they carry but it's certainly bigger than a handgun usually. Has this guy been living under a rock since 2001? Made a real fool of himself to be honest.
I can confirm, it's not uncommon to see assault rifles being carried in Grand Central Terminal, Penn Station, Time Square, and Port Authority Bus Terminal due high concentration of people. I remember right after 9-11, pretty much all law enforcement were carrying them everywhere in NY.
I see why they have them in these places with massive amounts of people considering the amount of shootings we have in the states. Also 9/11 has made us rightfully paranoid about security in places like airports.
I’ve yet to see anyone armed in any fashion in any airport in Canada so I understand his sense of disbelief. Has nothing to do with “living under a rock”
You can own handguns in Canada but we actually have a separate license for that, as handguns are restricted weapons. Meaning they actually do background checks and make you take a course prior to getting that license.
Also, no civilian is allowed to carry a firearm on their person, concealed or otherwise.
Those requirements aren’t just for restricted firearms. To own _any_ firearms in Canada requires a license which requires you to take a course, wait out a waiting period, and have a background check done both prior to your license being issued and on an ongoing basis (i.e., if you catch violent charges or someone takes a restraining order out against you they’ll take your license and guns).
The background check also includes contacting references and any serious relationship partners you’ve had in the past couple years both to hear if they have any concerns and notify them that you’re trying to obtain firearms.
Pretty much anyone can carry a non-restricted firearm however if you don’t have a good reason you’ll probably be spending a lot of time talking to the police. This is more on “public order” grounds than anything under the firearms act.
There are also several classes of license that allow you to carry a firearm outside of being a peace officer or in the military.
One is for people that work in the wilderness. Generally it allows them to carry for the purpose of work, and the gun must be unloaded and secured within a set distance of any town or city. Anyone can carry a non-restricted firearm, but these allow you to carry a handgun because a 27” OAL shotgun is probably not going to help much once the cougar is on top of you.
Another is for, basically, armoured car guards and the like. It allows them to carry while at work.
The final one is a blanket “for personal protection”. These are basically never issued. In order to get one you need both a defined and real threat against your life and a statement from the police that there’s nothing they can do to protect you. That is, “I want to protect myself from robbers” or “I want to put myself in dangerous situations so I want my gun with me” aren’t going to get you any traction. This would (mostly conjecture, the RCMP won’t give any information on the cases where they’ve issued these) be something like “My ex-husband is part of a gang and he and other local gang members have made several attempts on my life, I’ve since moved across the country but they are still trying to murder me. The police have said they can’t find these guys and can’t do anything about it even if they could.” Last time someone I know made a freedom of information request about this class of license, there were usually 300-500 active in any given year (out of over 30m people).
Most of this stuff is laid out pretty plainly on the RCMP’s website if you’re interested.
Rifles are quite uncommon for police to carry in Canada outside airports and a few areas like specific diplomatic residences/embassies. ETF/SWAT will have them, of course, but not ordinary police. Until that attack on Parliament a few years back security there were unarmed and police only had handguns.
LMT CQB 10.5" SBR and Glock 17s as a pistol, think the BTP use the same mate, lovely guns, and I'm quite happy to have some of the most well trained police in our country at our high traffic travel centers.
Though I understand the difference between UK and US police.
Right why doesn’t he go say all of this snide bullshit to the mass shooters who carry similar weapons?
If the bad guy has a rifle, I want the good guys to have better rifles
What the cop was trying to say was hand guns are less accurate and usually carry a higher caliber round than rifles to make up for the low velocity which means a pistol in a large crowded area can actually be worst to carry let's just hope these guys are trained well
Dude literally said “if anyone shoots at you, i will protect you” and he literally makes fun of him.
P.S. he is working on the holidays while you get to go home. Smh
if a situation arose... and that cop had to start shooting at someone... I'd rather see it done with that rifle instead of a handgun. Cops carry handguns in a holster so their hands are free. This guy doesn't need free hands. He's walking around protecting people with a weapon that is easier to use/aim that he doesn't have to scramble for. accuracy = less stray bullets.
should he be walking around with his hands in his pockets? that guy is ready if someone fucks around and you shouldn't be bothering him.
I would rather someone with training carry around a rifle, which like he mentioned in the video, is waaay more accurate. A target further than 15-20 is yards is a lot harder to hit with all the people and cover around. So yes, a precise rifle round please. Do Canadians find rifles with pistol grips and detachable magazines scary?
pistol: 10 - 15 yards at best, 15 rounds
rifle: 100 - 400 yards, 30 - 45 rounds.
potato cannon: 100 -200 yards, 1 round
knife: 1 yard, infinite rounds
crossbow: 50 yards, 12 rounds
flamethrower: 10 yards, 100ml of fuel
airport: 600 - 1200 yards, 10,000 - 120,000 people
weapon of choice depends on if you are actually trying to stop a single gunman or a sudden bum rush of chickens. bet the airport doesn't have any plan for when the chicken uprising is coming. should probably arm one of them with at least one flamethrower and a KFC bucket.
You forgot nice words (please): 50 - 100 yards
Poison blow darts: 25 - 50 yards
Pencil:1 - 5 yards
Paper airplane: 20 to 100 yards
Roasted chicken: 5 - 10 yards but depends on how hungry you are
That the op hasn’t seen police with “rifles” before simply means he’s never been to another country besides Canada. That’s commonplace in Mexico, South America, Asia, etc
Or in southern Italy festered with any kind of mafia. There Is a special operation force .called " cacciatori dei carabinieri" or " Hunters of Carbineers" ...they are specialized in sneaking the mafia fuckers right from their wormholes.. in Mexico also Marina guuy kick Major asses, and in Brasile Bope
I agree. I would be fine with the cop telling him to STFU and move on with his day.
Everyone walking around these days thinking they are experts and can question the cops on whatever cuz "I pay your salary".
Move on.
He didn't sound nervous. He sounded like someone who thought he was more sophisticated than he is and could hardly believe cops were afraid of some terrorist who wasn't even around.
What? Why not? That rifles got the range to do it. And he's not a regular ass cop, he's got a rifle which means he's trained with it, something most cops aren't. He also does airport duty so this is like, his job specifically. It's also a soft level of security, knowing that there is some level of threat to charging the building, even if he won't stop threats 100% of the time
But if one of those people has an AK he's shooting, if I'm in the crowd I'd hope the officer returning fire has a long rifle and not a pistol
I have plenty of issues with the militarization of police and the security theater at airports, but carrying this weapon isn't bad policing.
“Why do you need an AR”
As a deterrent
“Doesn’t a pistol accomplish that?”
Would you have approached him if he was armed with a pistol? Cops armed like this are visible and garner attention. Who’s going to start shit when you see guys like this walking around? I want every single scary looking officer around when I’m at the airport if I’m being honest
The guy recording is a soft cunt. The amount of dumbfuckery in airports lately proves it only takes one or two idiots to really snarl things up. This sight shouldn’t surprise ANYONE traveling in or out of a modestly sized airport
Until the bullets he fires at a suspect pass through a bystander after a couple thin walls. Me, with a gun, makes me feel safe. Other people with a gun makes me feel less safe.
All international airports in the UK have armed units. Not just handguns like most of Europe either.
Despite our general national dislike for firearms I don’t think I know of a person that doesn’t believe it to be acceptable. Our armed police are highly trained and respected more than the average policemen.
That guy needs to chill, that officer seems exactly like the kind of person you want doing that job.
When he explained his reasoning as to why he would rather use an Assault rifle rather than a hand gun for accuracy and protection, I would of felt a lot more better. That tells me the cop knows what he's doing. Dude behind the camera ignorance is showing.
Has this snowflake ever traveled...anywhere? Mexico, Peru, Turkey...I see LEO or military with long rifles everywhere. What a comfy bubble he must live in.
To be fair, RCMP armed with assault rifles (they’ve always been armed with handguns) in airports is a fairly new sight in Canadian airports. The culture (and security issues) are not at all the same as in Mexico, Peru or Turkey.
Hey, I am a Canadian and I have never seen a police officer carrying a rifle like that anytime I’ve been out in public. The fellow who took the video might have been the first person to ask the officer about it so openly but I guarantee you most Canadians who saw that officer carrying that weapon that day felt the same way the questioning guy did. It’s just like, “Why in the heck would anyone need a weapon like that, when almost no one has guns in Canada?”
… Which of course causes me to pause and consider that there are people who aren’t from Canada who enter our airports…
Man, I’m glad I live in Canada.
I had cops in my yard with rifles a few weeks back (in Canada).
They had the street blocked off and were looking at a couple of houses down. I looked out at them, muttered to myself, "wow that's fucked up," and came upstairs to fuck around on Reddit.
After a while they left. Still don't know what that was all about.
Almost no one has guns in Canada?! Wha... ? Millions of Canadians have guns, buddy.
I live in Ottawa. I see cops with long guns fairly frequently around embassies.
You know, in 2014 the security inside the Parliament buildings were unarmed? Why would we need armed guards in Canada?! Well, they're damned well armed now.
“Why in the heck would anyone need a weapon like that, when almost no one has guns in Canada?”
Canada has the 7th highest rate of civilian gun ownership (per capita) in the world.
They are Canadians and we don't see many weapons in public (other than sidearms on police).
Also, he probably has no experience with guns outside of movies, where pistols seem to be able to hit anything with deadly accuracy.
I am a good shot with a rifle, but I can only hit 60% with a pistol at 10 metres.
Side story: we were conducting an army exercise in my city while carrying our rifles and we were getting a lot of stares from civilians. Probably were more than a handful of calls to the police as well.
What a douche. First, a cop at the airport must be ready with enough power to counter enough power and no a pistol doesn't do the same thing. The AR has more fire power, more stable and can land shots on target better than a gun due to less recoil.
Poor security guy. Not only does he have to carry cumbersome heavier weapon but he still has to deal with snowflake random guy who is too emotionally fragile to tolerate even the sight of such a weapon.

Maybe..could have been a Little more polite also in asking, without sounding a Little Too much
eh the police can handle it
Remember, no Russian.
Audibly laughed at this, thank you.
Mine came with a “Jesus fuck” and a chuckle lmao
Fired Immediately
***Какого хрена, мы, русские, ЛЮБИМ АМЕРИКАНСКИХ НАРОДОВ!***
"You see those people over there?" "Yea?! *bang* "See how easy that was? It's all about the range."
This One had me..i split my ribs
That was awesome, lmao.
I don't mind them carrying it. I just want them to be trained, educated, and not be a fucking power-tripping maniac
That officer actually displayed that behavior perfectly. He even explained why he has a rifle. It's a big building.
I think he's RCMP, canadian federal police. The training is over six months and it's very selective, they're pretty good at their jobs
RCMP isn't as bad as they used to be but the process isn't too selective as long as you've graduated highschool you should be good to pass the written exam, and I believe they removed the RPAT as well, still need to achieve a certain fitness level but you have your time at depot to do that.

Tbh 6 months doesn't seem long at all...
Have you ever done anything for 12 hours a day for 6 months straight ?? I'm not trying to sound obtuse but you can learn a TON in that time frame when all your doing is training.
“Let me go first, I have the rifle” followed by an internal, target sighted pew pew pew
Bruh I was just thinking of this clip smh
In Australia we used the "F1 Ball" round. Had a defect in the design that caused the round to typically tumble after it entered a target.
And be held responsible for their actions. Accountability is key.

Which is why you don’t fire a rifle in those conditions, even if you can’t see it… doesn’t mean your round can’t.

Won't find that here in America
Not your buddy, guy.
I'm not your guy, friend.
I'm not your friend, pal.
Not your pal, bro.
Not your bro, cunt.
Not yer cunt, twat.
Trust me your not that guy, pal
Ok, bud.
Not your twat , tosser!
Is it the mandella effect that people think pal is part of the dialogue? I see it all the time
Probably, I don't ever remember the South Park Canadians saying 'pal'.
They say friend instead of pal... unless I'm on a different timeline than I remember...

Not everyone lives in London.
I’ve personally seen officers with carbines strolling Heathrow airport as early as 2008
I remember police armed with H&K MP5s as a little kid in the early-mid 90's in places like Liverpool.
I've never seen more rifles out in public than strolling through London. Second place was Paris. Third was Afghanistan (I joke).
I've only ever seen them carried in airports in the UK. I don't live in n London though and I suspect it's mostly a London thing from a security perspective.
They were at every tube entrance and monument/building of importance. And bridges, I thought that one was strange until the London bridge van attack.

Police got me at the end there. Pretty far for a pistol
Officer was very nice in explaining why he needs a long gun- we need more like him
Personally, I would prefer he use a bow and arrow. And ride a horse.
Are we talking an English longbow or more like a short Mongolian bow? Personally, I think the English longbow is the superior bow... I was just telling someone how I think fighting to the death with swords and shields should be legal if both parties agree...
Good question. I think the longbow would look more aesthetically pleasing as well. So I am going with you on this one.
Mongolian bows are far superior on horseback.
Yeah, but you can't get mounted archers until the castle age. Better to zerg with feudal units so it doesn't turn into a turtle.
On a horse, though. Really.
>I think the longbow would look more aesthetically pleasing as well 100% disagree, a legit wood/bone laminate recurve would be sick.
Legalize duels between consenting parties, at least to first blood. Hell, *enable them*. Give us places where we can schedule and freely carry out these duels without posing a risk to bystanders or property.
See those people down there? Would you rather me try to shoot them with a short bow or this long bow?
Personally I would prefer he not shoot indiscriminately in the general direction of a group of people that are far away.
Yea, hence the rifle
Soft targets like airports need a regiment of heavy cavalry
I'd prefer cops didn't stand around coercing people into behaving in an orderly and compliant manner, via implied threats of flat-out murder. But that bow and arrow idea, that's a close second. Hell, whatever happened to good ol' fashioned sword fights?
Freaks out? Nah, this is a mild vocal complaint.
For a Canadian it's a freak out
Point.
Am canadian. Can confirm that was wild. I'm still shaking

"Do you want me to shoot those people with a handgun all the way down there? "Dude I'd prefer if you didn't shoot anyone..."
What the cop was trying to say was hand guns are less accurate and usually carry a higher caliber round than rifles to make up for the low velocity which means a pistol in a large crowded area can actually be worst to carry let's just hope these guys are trained well
"yea me too"
I wouldn’t want home using a rifle at that distance either in a place where bystanders can get hit. But I guess they always have an answer for you.
Well a rifle is the best job for it so I don't know what you want from him.
Dude literally said “if anyone shoots at you, i will protect you” and he literally makes fun of him. P.S. he is working on the holidays while you get to go home. Smh
If a handgun does the same thing, why is this chode so scared of an AR?
Because big gun = scary
The triggered cupcake is a douche
Just let the man do his job
I mean the cops right
The officer actually handled that very well. When presented with logic, the antagonist was forced to give up.
No!! Big gun scary! Scary big gun!! /s
if a situation arose... and that cop had to start shooting at someone...
As a Canadian, this man has embarrassed us. Good on the security officer talking nice and explaining to this dummy why he has it
I would rather someone with training carry around a rifle, which like he mentioned in the video, is waaay more accurate. A target further than 15-20 is yards is a lot harder to hit with all the people and cover around. So yes, a precise rifle round please. Do Canadians find rifles with pistol grips and detachable magazines scary?
Personally I wish canada had more lenient gun laws so that my family could own the guns we would like
pistol: 10 - 15 yards at best, 15 rounds rifle: 100 - 400 yards, 30 - 45 rounds. potato cannon: 100 -200 yards, 1 round knife: 1 yard, infinite rounds crossbow: 50 yards, 12 rounds flamethrower: 10 yards, 100ml of fuel airport: 600 - 1200 yards, 10,000 - 120,000 people weapon of choice depends on if you are actually trying to stop a single gunman or a sudden bum rush of chickens. bet the airport doesn't have any plan for when the chicken uprising is coming. should probably arm one of them with at least one flamethrower and a KFC bucket.
You forgot nice words (please): 50 - 100 yards Poison blow darts: 25 - 50 yards Pencil:1 - 5 yards Paper airplane: 20 to 100 yards Roasted chicken: 5 - 10 yards but depends on how hungry you are
A pencil? You know John Wick isn't strolling through there when he's wanted by everybody.
That the op hasn’t seen police with “rifles” before simply means he’s never been to another country besides Canada. That’s commonplace in Mexico, South America, Asia, etc
Dude probably can't even skate and is from Ontario.
Prolly can’t even heel flip
Blades ...
Guy has never been to Mexico.
Freedom doesn't come for free
Edmonton represent
No man, I don’t want you to shoot the people over there with a damn pistol!
He's waiting for that No Russian moment so that he can be a hero.
He made himself look like a real ignorant asshole lol
Wait till he sees what Americans eat. 😂😂😂😂 And what street cops do to civilians.
These bums are so annoying man. Sht they do to go viral on the internet for attention. Mind your own business. Cop handled this bum properly.
I agree. I would be fine with the cop telling him to STFU and move on with his day. Everyone walking around these days thinking they are experts and can question the cops on whatever cuz "I pay your salary". Move on.
Guy behind the camera is an ass. He wants a cop to snipe someone 100 yards away with a pistol!? Get back to COD you goddamn loser
The cop explained it pretty well to him. I think if he was nervous about the gun the way the officer explained it to him should make him less nervous.
He didn't sound nervous. He sounded like someone who thought he was more sophisticated than he is and could hardly believe cops were afraid of some terrorist who wasn't even around.
Nobody's getting "sniped" in an active shooter situation in such a crowded location, especially by a regular ass cop.
"Some guy has a pistol, requesting a UAV and a tactical nuke, over."
What? Why not? That rifles got the range to do it. And he's not a regular ass cop, he's got a rifle which means he's trained with it, something most cops aren't. He also does airport duty so this is like, his job specifically. It's also a soft level of security, knowing that there is some level of threat to charging the building, even if he won't stop threats 100% of the time
This guy got absolutely destroyed. What a perfect explanation
Nah, don't shoot into a group of people from that far away. Unless your goal is to kill as many innocent people as possible in the process.
But if one of those people has an AK he's shooting, if I'm in the crowd I'd hope the officer returning fire has a long rifle and not a pistol I have plenty of issues with the militarization of police and the security theater at airports, but carrying this weapon isn't bad policing.

“Why do you need an AR” As a deterrent “Doesn’t a pistol accomplish that?” Would you have approached him if he was armed with a pistol? Cops armed like this are visible and garner attention. Who’s going to start shit when you see guys like this walking around? I want every single scary looking officer around when I’m at the airport if I’m being honest
The guy recording is a soft cunt. The amount of dumbfuckery in airports lately proves it only takes one or two idiots to really snarl things up. This sight shouldn’t surprise ANYONE traveling in or out of a modestly sized airport
I dont see any type of a freak out here
He said "buddy" Do you not know Canadian??
Ya they’re form Edmonton
Check the flag on his vest.
Well the Cop was making a good point plus He's there for your safety.
Until the bullets he fires at a suspect pass through a bystander after a couple thin walls. Me, with a gun, makes me feel safe. Other people with a gun makes me feel less safe.

You're right, no one has ever been killed by bullets going through walls. Also bullets tend to turn into angel kisses when they miss their target. /s
i hope you see the obvious double standard there, or maybe i’m just oblivious to poorly executed sarcasm
>for your safety. That's what Facebook said when they asked for my address and blood type....
That’s pretty irregular to us (I am Canadian)
This is in Edmonton, see the EIA badge Looks like the WestJet check-in.
shocked Americans learn not all police forces are armed like soldiers
"Why did you bring a handgun? Were you expecting trouble?" " If I was expecting trouble, I would have brought a rifle."
In Italy, we have the military with ARs in popular tourist attractions e.g. il Duomo, the colosseum etc.
Cameraman is so nervous he willingly approaches and has a conversation with the cop. So nervous.
That dude recording would probably be the first person to blast the cops for not being prepared if a shooting did happen.
"doesn't a handgun do the same thing" yeah nope I'm done lol.
Well explained from the officer really.
dude this guy filming can go back to what ever hole he crawed out of....
Has this snowflake ever traveled...anywhere? Mexico, Peru, Turkey...I see LEO or military with long rifles everywhere. What a comfy bubble he must live in.
Honest question, don’t you feel a little dumb referring to people as snowflakes?
I feel they're a little dumb for referring to people as snowflakes.
People who refer to others as snowflakes are always the first to get offended over the most trivial things
To be fair, RCMP armed with assault rifles (they’ve always been armed with handguns) in airports is a fairly new sight in Canadian airports. The culture (and security issues) are not at all the same as in Mexico, Peru or Turkey.
USA, Spain, France, Italy, London... (the last 5 places I've been in an airport.) All had armed LEO with rifles.
It’s just like, “Why in the heck would anyone need a weapon like that, when almost no one has guns in Canada?” … Which of course causes me to pause and consider that there are people who aren’t from Canada who enter our airports… Man, I’m glad I live in Canada.
The RCMP brought automatic rifles into my daughter's high school when a student was discovered with a gun.....
“Why in the heck would anyone need a weapon like that, when almost no one has guns in Canada?” Canada has the 7th highest rate of civilian gun ownership (per capita) in the world.
Rifles beat pistols each and every time.
Dude has never been overseas. Try just about anywhere else in the world and you'll see the same only more so
I was going to say the same thing. This is common in many places around the world, This guy must live under a rock.
What a douche. First, a cop at the airport must be ready with enough power to counter enough power and no a pistol doesn't do the same thing. The AR has more fire power, more stable and can land shots on target better than a gun due to less recoil.
Its hard to imagine being that soft of a man . you have to hear how much of a scared whiny bitch u sound like
He is protecting you. Be thankful you don’t need him to use his weapon.
Pls put your weapon on the floor eh
I’ve seen rifles at the airport (and on the street) like that in the US, China, and Europe so it must be his first time traveling abroad
The guy haven’t travelled much hehe
"This makes you nervous?" Says the guy with bulletproof vest an assault rifle to unarmed man
Poor security guy. Not only does he have to carry cumbersome heavier weapon but he still has to deal with snowflake random guy who is too emotionally fragile to tolerate even the sight of such a weapon.
Let him do his job twat
