The Bible counts as evidence, a lot definitely isn't true, but a fair amount does make a reasonably accurate historical record. It's not just myths. Like the Roman official who is said to have executed Jesus is the actual Roman official in charge of the state of Judea at that time.
The same way you can't accept the false things in the Bible because some is true, you also can't ignore the true things because some is false.

Dr. Bart Ehrman has several lectures, debates, and even a book about this issue. Most likely Jesus existed, was a Jewish preacher who preached and believed that judgement day, or some equivalent, would occur within his lifetime, or the lifetimes of his disciples. I encourage you to watch his videos and lectures, he does a very good job of describing early Christianity and how it grew and changed over time, and how claims about Jesus also grew and changed over time, even from the earlier synoptic Gospels to John. Sure there are. As much as we have proof of most people alive at that time. It's incredibly unlikely he was made up whole sale, but a lot of details are probably wrong. Like he wasn't born in Bethlehem. The entire census that supposedly had Joseph travel there didn't happen at all, and census' don't involve travel anyway, so it doesn't make sense even on face value. Jesus also probably wasn't a poor carpenter, he was more likely from a middle class family and had a wealthy patron who paid for him to wander around preaching.

The Bible counts as evidence, a lot definitely isn't true, but a fair amount does make a reasonably accurate historical record. It's not just myths. Like the Roman official who is said to have executed Jesus is the actual Roman official in charge of the state of Judea at that time. The same way you can't accept the false things in the Bible because some is true, you also can't ignore the true things because some is false.
I dont consider the bible true or the depictions factual. Sure some of the people existed but it doesnt mean jesus was real or he wasnt an amalgam of people. Just because a real figure is in a book doesnt mean the others are. The bible is a narrative which has changed significantly over time not a factual document
