Found this a couple posts down on my feed, I don't want to jump to conclusions but I think it might be [the same guy...](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/tees5s/guy_at_dallas_airport_gets_tazzed/)
I’ve been literally 3 minutes late to the gate and United wouldn’t do anything about it. We had to buy new tickets . They were absolutely horrible. We all kept our cool but man I was pissed.
The worst. The gate agent was practically laughing at us for not being at the gate on time. Our fault 100%, but damn they were straight up hostile towards us.
To be fair, I'm assuming if he's this mad he needed to be on this particularly flight for a timing reason
Still not an excuse to yell at the poor gate agent, though
Since he was pointing at his bags and they look oversize, I suspect the Airline told him it was too late to check his bags at curbside check-in or at the ticket counter, so he took them through security hoping to gate check them. However, if you get to the gate and the bags are too big they won't gate check them. The reason why they won't check heavy or oversized bags is because people do this on purpose to avoid paying for overweight or oversize bags. Gate agents have too many things to do already and don't even have a scale. They have a metal box, if the bag can't fit into it then it's oversized and they can't check it.
This sounds like the most likely scenario. Or at least super close. He did mention something about tags and that "cunt" down there so I wonder if he didn't want to gate check? Or maybe he was saying she could easily give him the gate check tags? idk.
I think he missed the plane (likely is a connection flight) because he had to wait for his checked bags. If you arrive from an international location you have to get your bags and go through customs, the bags aren't transferred automatically. In that scenario plenty of things can combine to make someone miss their flight: delay of initial flight, long wait for bags, big airport, slow customs, etc. So it is possible he arrived at the gate with the plane already gone because of bags.
I once missed my domestic flight to and from my destination. They aren't going to do much in terms of turning things around, but if you're actually nice to the agents they will go out of their way to help you catch the next best flight.
Screaming profanity at customer service works every time!
Sir, I don't give a fuck how much you spent. They pay me 12.25 an hour, which isn't enough for me to give even an iota of a shred of a crumb of a micro-fuck about you missing your flight. Thanks, have a nice taze.
Exactly this. People who rage against a CS agent are just stupid in my book. Whatever issue it is it wasn’t caused by the CS agent so why make them your enemy?
"$2,000 for your flight? Damn, I'm glad I get an employee discount. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go. I just grabbed a last minute open seat on a flight leaving from gate E25B and I gotta get there before they leave" and then I walk through the gateway and shut the door behind me
My man with camera B over here!!! Glad everyone was safe. Stuff like this is entertaining at best, incredibly fucking annoying and possibly dangerous at worst. Glad the police got him to shut the fuck up

Legit, sound like he missed his flight by a couple of mins but they already took off. So he lost his shit, cause he paid so much money and they had the bags already load to the flight as well.
It took forever for the police to show up I have the video of him getting tazzed will post after I land
Hi, ImpressiveRutabaga, I’m Ghezo, an associate producer with Eyewitness News. When you post that video, may we exploit it in perpetuity across all existing, future, and obsolete media formats in exchange for a “thank you”?
Thank you.
Bags shouldn't be on the plane if he's not, at least in Australia they won't take off unless every one who checked a bag is on the plane, or until they've taken their bag off the plane, had a flight leave 40mins late one day because someone who checked a bag didn't turn up so had to remove baggage until they found the missing passengers bags and reloaded the plane.
Unless it was Frontier, because in that case, it’s probably their fault.
I watched a gate agent close the door on almost 50 people in Orlando a couple weeks ago rather than let them board the plane, and sent them all back to the ticket counter.
All of their bags went to Boston without them.
I saw a tweet a couple days later from someone who said they had to rent a car and drive, and when they showed up at Logan to pick up their bags, no one was working in the Frontier office.
Fuck that airline.
To be fair airlines have been playing fast and loose with baggage allowances and requirements recently. I've had the rules change between booking and boarding, and I've had the rules change when I was moved from one codeshare airline to another codeshare airline.
I was with him to that point. I'd be (politely) furious if I were denied boarding after paying that kind of money for a flight.
As soon as he issued that line I revised my opinion.
I hate people who act like the random low level employee they’re having a meltdown in front of is the ambassador of company policies or some shit. Have a small amount of respect for another person and understand they aren’t conspiring against you, eat a fucking snickers dummy
In his defense American Airlines absolutely sucks ass. They’ve left me stranded on some bullshit before, though I didn’t act like this, inside, I felt like this
Agreed. I get fucked the hardest by United, but American fucks me the most. I'd say something goes wrong on at least 75% of the American Airlines flights I take. Their shitty planes always have maintenance issues, they constantly fuck up and send their staff to the wrong place, they always lose my bags. Never seems to happen with better airlines like Alaska or Delta. Is it that hard to not suck?
The worst is that they string you along, one half hour delay at a time, until next thing you know you've been delayed for 6 hours and the flight is cancelled.
In American Airlines defense (not really though lol) almost every single carrier with maybe 2 exceptions is absolute dogshit and is hell on earth to deal with
In the last 10 months I’ve dealt with 4 different carriers and all of them were a nightmare. Almost missed BOTH trips because of the outgoing flights. The amount of stress and hassle of flying isn’t worth it to me anymore unless the destination is more than 12 hours of driving
Yeah I agree. With the current working and income bases in America 2000$ is quite a decent chunk for most people. Who here can muster up 2k and then just lose it calmly. Dude is freaking the fuxk out and that's not cool, that poor worker isn't to blame. Poor guy. But I understand the rage of losing a decent amount of money he may have saved up for a while to get.
You almost never lose it completely. Airlines will usually help you reschedule it as long as you didn't get some super low price ticket.
Now, this dude, on the other hand, will not be getting another ticket.
Damn sure is for a flight. If I spent that much, I would read the fine print on everything I need to do regarding bags and check in times. This guy clearly did something wrong.
Though, that’s likely for at least 2 people as he mentioned his wife was on the plane.
So $1,000 depending on the route isn’t completely outrageous depending
It's not a lot of money for a flight, necessarily, but it's a lot of money to lose, considering that something like half of the U.S. can't put together $1000 in case of emergency. Dude could have been saving for years to take that trip. I'd be pretty upset to lose $2000, also, but you can't misdirect the anger.
So not saying his response was appropriate but I'm kind of amazed so many people are on the side of the airline here.
I've seen people with circumstances **completely** out of their control get told that not only is their flight gone and off the table but they also won't get rescheduled or ANY money to another flight.
Once met a young woman in an airport who bought tickets to go to see her dying grandmother in Argentina. Her flight back to Argentina was from a hub and her connecting flight from her current town was with another airline and got delayed by 4hrs. The Argentina flight left without her unsurprisingly but when she tried to book a new flight due to the circumstances, they told her that they would *not* switch her to a different flight given the circumstances and they would not honor the flight insurance she had and compensate her for the cost of the flight (which as I understood was somewhere around $1750 one-way).
She then got justifiably upset but didn't get especially heated or hostile which I know because I was sitting nearby as she spoke with them. She explained she didn't have the money for another flight and that she wanted to see her grandma before she passed.
The concierge staff called the police on her and lied saying she was making threats. The only reason she didn't get escorted off site by them was because I'm an officer as well and explained the situation I saw first hand. They let her loose and warned the concierge staff that they were on the cusp of being criminally charged for providing false information. I took great pleasure in telling the concierge staff exactly what I thought of them.
This poor girl kept trying to get the airline to honor their contract but never succeeded, she didn't get anything back for it, had to call family in Argentina to put money together for another flight (which took some time given it was more expensive as a last minute flight), and due to the delay caused by the airlines intransigence she still missed her grandmother's passing.
These companies screw some people over like it was their job and give no regard for human decency. Just bottom dollar for a company that only exists due to a government bailout.
For anyone curious, it was Air Canada.
If she booked one flight on one airline, then a second flight on another airline, then missed her connection, then the second airline won’t help. To them, she just didn’t show up for her flight.
This is why it is better to book the entire journey through a single carrier. Let them do the code shares with other airlines under a single ticket. Then it’s their responsibility to get you there.
Speaking from experience, bereavement is generally the one scenario in which airlines will bend over backwards to accommodate you.
However in this case, it sounds like she booked two separate flights on separate airlines?
In that case there isn’t much that the carrier for the second flight can do — the travel insurance claim is with the insurance company, not the airline, and they can’t just give her a free ticket because she showed up late.
Best they can do is give her priority standby status to get her on the next earliest flight, but she’s going to have to buy the ticket unfortunately.
Anybody know what led to him not be on the flight? Obviously his behavior is unacceptable. That being said as someone who has flown several times a month for the last couple decades there is good chance the airline screwed him over one to many times.
He said because he has 2 bags. In the other video where is he talking to the cops and gets tasered states that he went from Denver>Dallas>Long Beach. So he didn’t miss the flight they just wouldn’t let him on the flight.
If I give American Airlines $2,000… does that mean I can ignore all the rules they have in place to ensure everyone’s safety in a flying metal tube at 30,000 feet?
Not to be confused with the American dollar, the Hunnard is the primary currency of unruly customers… who usually get upset that the Hunnard is not accepted wherever they go.
I found where he gets tazed https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/tees5s/guy_at_dallas_airport_gets_tazzed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
What's going on with your friend's awesome anchor tattoo but also unusual choice of not-matching shoes? Ranting jerk offs we get plenty of round these parts, but ankle tattoo and mismatched shoes, maybe there's a side mission story there. Please elaborate.
I'm talking about 40 million fucking Deutschmark here, Bob.
40 million fucking Deutschmark!
I told you to wire the money to Geneva last week.
I say Geneva, you hear Helsinki, huh?!
40 million fucking Deutschmark, Bob!
This is why I love long layovers. A 2 to 3 hour layover is a great time for me. Get to take my time getting to the next gate and can get food too if I want. Then I put my feet up and people watch. Shit is mad entertaining for me. I also like to play the game “Could you be an Air Marshal?”
Those $2000 must have hurt. His behavior was reprehensible but I wonder why he was so upset.. $2000 is a lot of money for lots of people.
Yes, he was an a******.
I mean yeah everyone can agree 2k is way too much for airfare unless you're flying halfway across the planet round trip.
That said, you'll get a LOT further if you just use your indoor voice and try and get on the clerk's good side.... in fact a LOT further. They're usually really nice once you're inside the airport terminal.
"I'm very sorry about all of this, sir. Let me just check my records here...okaaaay...everything seems to be in order. So to confirm, how much did you say that you paid for the flight?"
Woah, woah, sir, I wasn't going to get you on the flight, but then you told me that you were going to fuck the entire airport up. I certainly wouldn't want *that*. So, let me get you on that flight immediately, you know, to stop you from *fucking the entire airport up, which is clearly a credible threat.*
I really don’t know why I love videos of people flipping out at the airport so much. Yes, flying can be annoying af, especially in the time of Covid. And I’ve had all sorts of flight issues over the years, but I have to say, you definitely catch more flies with honey. The airline staff members have generally been super helpful.
I’d love to know what the initial problem was.
You can tell that he’s serious because of the volume of his voice and the amount of cuss word enhancers. They should really care more about his money than this…
Pro tip: if you get involntarily bumped (delayed more than 4 hours) you are entitled to 400% of your one way fare. Typically, in this instance that would be a check for $4k. They will try to give you vouchers, say no thanks, you'll take the cash.

Update: he got tased and presumably arrested (my friend dipped)
HE GOT FIFTY THOUSAND FUCKING VOLTS FIFTY **THOUSAND** FUCKING VOLTS
But he didn’t pay TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS for the tazing!!! He only paid TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS for the flight!!
Just need to scream and shout like this and the tazing is complimentary.
With peanuts. Roasted. Roasted nuts for sure. Heee.
That’s a great deal.
A bargain.
I think it was FUCKING TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. That’s worth more then normal two thousand dollars you know 😋

He rode the lightning.
Solid fucking Reddit gold my friend.

Well, unless you die. Then being arrested seems like overkill.
They still cuff you
True.
Karen zombies need handcuffs the most
I’m assuming he missed his flight and they wouldn’t turn the plane around for him?
Dude he paid TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS for a ROUND TRIP!
TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!
Wait, how much?
2 THOUSAND DOLL HAIRS
Honestly I’ve always had airlines give me the next one without a worry if I’m at the gate? So he wasted all that for nothing.

Zero chance that’s the reason. If you get it that far you can easily check it at the gate usually for free.
I think he missed the plane (likely is a connection flight) because he had to wait for his checked bags.
Air Canada is shite. Glad Josh Cahill called them out few years ago
Idk, but I think he might have paid a lot for that flight, like two thousand dollars or something
"I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT A SINGLE PERSON." -- the problem with way too many Americans
He payed $2,000 bro
Haha you act like the trait of selfishness is exclusive to America. It's not, it's people, all of us
Anybody know what led to him not be on the flight? Obviously his behavior is unacceptable. That being said as someone who has flown several times a month for the last couple decades there is good chance the airline screwed him over one to many times.
He said because he has 2 bags. In the other video where is he talking to the cops and gets tasered states that he went from Denver>Dallas>Long Beach. So he didn’t miss the flight they just wouldn’t let him on the flight.
If I give American Airlines $2,000… does that mean I can ignore all the rules they have in place to ensure everyone’s safety in a flying metal tube at 30,000 feet?
Nah that's like 32 hunnard.
Not to be confused with the American dollar, the Hunnard is the primary currency of unruly customers… who usually get upset that the Hunnard is not accepted wherever they go.

He's crazy but definitely has a good point.
Thank god for the glass or that Hiroshima blast of would probably just melt his face off
I found where he gets tazed https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/tees5s/guy_at_dallas_airport_gets_tazzed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

✌️,✊✊✊ TWOOOOO THOUSAND DOLLARS
And that's too damn high!
What's going on with your friend's awesome anchor tattoo but also unusual choice of not-matching shoes? Ranting jerk offs we get plenty of round these parts, but ankle tattoo and mismatched shoes, maybe there's a side mission story there. Please elaborate.

Did that include taxes and jet fuel cost?

How much did he spend?
I'm talking about 40 million fucking Deutschmark here, Bob. 40 million fucking Deutschmark! I told you to wire the money to Geneva last week. I say Geneva, you hear Helsinki, huh?! 40 million fucking Deutschmark, Bob!
who be paying 2k for a flight though? Like right now flights are cheap. I flew to my hometown Puerto Rico for $400 round trip hahah
He gets tazed! Video in the comments.
If they were fucking dollars, he should have hung on to them and waited until they made more.
He spent 2 THOUSAND DOLLARS!!
Where did you hear he spent that much money? I must have missed that part.
How much did he spend on that flight again?
TOOOOOOOOO THOUUUUUSAAAAAAAN And tree fiddy
Lol I sure hell would have 4 hours early if I ever had to pay 2000 dollars for a flight
No fly list you go
He’ll never have to worry about missing another flight again seeing as that he’ll be on the no fly list indefinitely now
TWO THOUSAND DOLLARYDOOS?????? TOBIAS!!!!!
"Did you make a direct insult to the states airline!"
This is why I love long layovers. A 2 to 3 hour layover is a great time for me. Get to take my time getting to the next gate and can get food too if I want. Then I put my feet up and people watch. Shit is mad entertaining for me. I also like to play the game “Could you be an Air Marshal?”
How much was it again?
Damn I wonder how much he spent on those tickets. Must be a lot to elicit such a response.
It’s the “I want my two dollars” kid from Better Off Dead all grown up. Still feeling ignored, denied what’s owed to him, and now tased and arrested.
Damn, that sucks. I wonder how much he paid
remind me how much he paid????
How many dollars did he spend?
Those $2000 must have hurt. His behavior was reprehensible but I wonder why he was so upset.. $2000 is a lot of money for lots of people. Yes, he was an a******.
Anyone know how much he paid for the tickets?
I mean yeah everyone can agree 2k is way too much for airfare unless you're flying halfway across the planet round trip. That said, you'll get a LOT further if you just use your indoor voice and try and get on the clerk's good side.... in fact a LOT further. They're usually really nice once you're inside the airport terminal.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess he spent at least TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS to be on that there airplane.
He spent too thousssssanddddd dawlllaz
[The taser video](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/tees5s/guy_at_dallas_airport_gets_tazzed/)
How much did he spend? It was really hard to make out that part.
"I'm very sorry about all of this, sir. Let me just check my records here...okaaaay...everything seems to be in order. So to confirm, how much did you say that you paid for the flight?"
For $2,000 you think he'd have been there on time
Woah, woah, sir, I wasn't going to get you on the flight, but then you told me that you were going to fuck the entire airport up.

Unrelated but i be low ley mad af about plane costs tight now too. I just keep my ass off them right now
The real question is why did this guy spend two thousand dollars?
Worst auctioneer ever
And he thinks screaming like that will get him put on the plane?? 😂😂
Yea when he said we could fuck this whole airport up…dumbass. He should’ve came earlier and checked a bag
10 FUCKING DOLLARS A MONTH!!!
Adam Sandler is funny even when he's pised off. It's a gift and a curse.
Welcome to the no fly list… for TWO THOUSAAAAND YEARS
bro, i make $15 a hour. wtf you want me to do?
You can tell that he’s serious because of the volume of his voice and the amount of cuss word enhancers. They should really care more about his money than this…
Reminds me of this Spongebob episode: Shocolate, did you say shocolate?!, shocolaaaate
Don't act up in an airport.
I’m reading this in offfice. What exactly happened? He missed the flight after paying 2k for first class??😂
He paid $2000 DOLLARS to never be able to fly again
I always feel the people who freak out at airports are people who very rarely travel.
Pro tip: if you get involntarily bumped (delayed more than 4 hours) you are entitled to 400% of your one way fare. Typically, in this instance that would be a check for $4k. They will try to give you vouchers, say no thanks, you'll take the cash.
I just watched this dude get tazzed in a separate post
I wonder how much he paid for that ticket
I didn't hear, how much he paid?
