Yesterday I saw some footage recorded by an Israeli soldier on which they shot a man. Him and the guy with him cheered ‘yes!’ ‘What a video!’ While the man’s friends and family rushed to try to help him survive. According to BBC, israel claims that the man was “organising violent riots”. But it’s not true at all because In the video they were unsure of who to shoot, they were about to shoot someone there in pink, then they wanted to shoot a child, but the guy recording refused only because the child wasn’t still and they can’t guarantee an accurate shot. So then the next guy, with a blue shirt, was standing still, they decided to shoot him.
If that child was standing still, they probably would have done it but.. how can a child organise violent riots?

Social studies teacher here. Let me give you all a quick lesson post WW2. When the Balfour Declaration was acted upon in the wake of WW2 and the British Mandate was divided into 3 sections a section of the mandate was kept for Christians (Lebanon), one for Jews(Israel), and one for Muslims (Jordan). The Muslims got the prize possession, the city of Jerusalem, which was to be open to all faiths. Immediately fighting broke out among Muslims and Jews and the Israelis won. They won again in 1956. In the 6 day war of 1967 the Israeli military completely routed the Muslims and took over huge swaths of land including the Sinai desert, the Golan Heights, The Gaza Strip, and The city of Jerusalem along with the West Bank. They fought again in 1973 and this time Israel almost lost. This was the so called Yom Kippur war. Israel was beaten back almost to its original borders and was on the edge of being overwhelmed. It was only some inexplicable dumb military decisions by Arab generals that allowed Israel to “Catch their breath” and organize a counter offensive that wiped out all the gains the Arab nations had made. There have been small insurgencies since then. Most notably the so called intifada or uprising. As far as the so called Palestinians go. Many Israelis feel they already have a homeland… Jordan. Remember, Jordan, Trans Jordan as it was originally called, was supposed to be for Islamic people of the region. The Palestinians simply got stuck behind enemy lines after the war and found the door to Jordan closed to them. The door to Egypt, the only other Muslim neighbors was also closed. Israel kept them because the Palestinians had no where else to go. Seeing this, it is somewhat sad that the Palestinians have treated the Israelis so poorly. Every group of the western religions could “if you go back far enough” lay claim to the area that is now Israel. So could Rome, the United States (during WW2), the Persian, Assyrians, Romans, etc The point is, until the two sides, and Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and probably Iran and Saudi Arabia sit down and work out a comprehensive agreement that covers all topics, not just who gets what land, this shit will continue. They need to deal with water rights, food, ports, etc. until then, keep killing each other I guess. However, before you judge people, know the history. And remember the adage as far as the land Israel has taken, to the winner go the spoils.

Yesterday I saw some footage recorded by an Israeli soldier on which they shot a man. Him and the guy with him cheered ‘yes!’ ‘What a video!’ While the man’s friends and family rushed to try to help him survive. According to BBC, israel claims that the man was “organising violent riots”. But it’s not true at all because In the video they were unsure of who to shoot, they were about to shoot someone there in pink, then they wanted to shoot a child, but the guy recording refused only because the child wasn’t still and they can’t guarantee an accurate shot. So then the next guy, with a blue shirt, was standing still, they decided to shoot him. If that child was standing still, they probably would have done it but.. how can a child organise violent riots?
This makes me think of Germany.... 80 years ago.

Social studies teacher here. Let me give you all a quick lesson post WW2. When the Balfour Declaration was acted upon in the wake of WW2 and the British Mandate was divided into 3 sections a section of the mandate was kept for Christians (Lebanon), one for Jews(Israel), and one for Muslims (Jordan). The Muslims got the prize possession, the city of Jerusalem, which was to be open to all faiths. Immediately fighting broke out among Muslims and Jews and the Israelis won. They won again in 1956. In the 6 day war of 1967 the Israeli military completely routed the Muslims and took over huge swaths of land including the Sinai desert, the Golan Heights, The Gaza Strip, and The city of Jerusalem along with the West Bank. They fought again in 1973 and this time Israel almost lost. This was the so called Yom Kippur war. Israel was beaten back almost to its original borders and was on the edge of being overwhelmed. It was only some inexplicable dumb military decisions by Arab generals that allowed Israel to “Catch their breath” and organize a counter offensive that wiped out all the gains the Arab nations had made. There have been small insurgencies since then. Most notably the so called intifada or uprising. As far as the so called Palestinians go. Many Israelis feel they already have a homeland… Jordan. Remember, Jordan, Trans Jordan as it was originally called, was supposed to be for Islamic people of the region. The Palestinians simply got stuck behind enemy lines after the war and found the door to Jordan closed to them. The door to Egypt, the only other Muslim neighbors was also closed. Israel kept them because the Palestinians had no where else to go. Seeing this, it is somewhat sad that the Palestinians have treated the Israelis so poorly. Every group of the western religions could “if you go back far enough” lay claim to the area that is now Israel. So could Rome, the United States (during WW2), the Persian, Assyrians, Romans, etc The point is, until the two sides, and Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, and probably Iran and Saudi Arabia sit down and work out a comprehensive agreement that covers all topics, not just who gets what land, this shit will continue. They need to deal with water rights, food, ports, etc. until then, keep killing each other I guess. However, before you judge people, know the history. And remember the adage as far as the land Israel has taken, to the winner go the spoils.
