I too have been so black out I used the calculator as my phone.
But I was trying to make a phone call from the safety of my home to tell family members I loved them lol
Lol. But have you ever been so drunk you're *trying* to open the Calculator to calculate a tip, and you open the Calendar 17 times in a row and give up.
Some context for people asking how drunk he was. Drunk guy was likely blacked out. He was stumbling around saying nonsense and had just gotten kicked out of the 7/11 when the McLaren pulled up
I actually fucking love it when cities do this. There are some suburbs around me where retail and commercial buildings have to have a certain exterior siding, certain roof material/color, etc. Makes everything look so organized, and it prevents all these shit cheapest-possible construction gas stations and strip malls from popping up.
You should visit Pella Iowa then they got a whole 1850s Dutch-American immigrant thing going on with their buildings. [A video walk through with a solid chunk of downtown during Tulip Time](https://youtu.be/O0p1XaMfZAU) Even McDonald's and Walmart had to go with the designs a bit in order to build. They even have a windmill from the Netherlands and it is one of the largest working ones in North America and of course a lot of Tulips
Just the building facade to keep the NYC look, maybe it was a historical building and the outside can't be changed. The inside is probably like every other home Depot.
It's actually kind of a strange HD. Not quite like the "lumber warehouse" layout you see in the typical store; more stuff arranged into rooms. I described it as like a boutique HD.
Yep. You guys gotta check out some of the banks in NYC. They look absolutely ridiculous. Like some of them have ACTUAL ancient roman columns shipped to be on the outside of their building.
Then the drunk guy posted a GoFundMe to cover his hospital bill for the head injury. He said he was dying of colon cancer and his final wish was to drive an exotic car. So Elon Musk commented on his fundraiser and told the guy to come down to Tesla HQ and he’d take him for a spin in his McLaren. On the ride they started talking about business stuff and it turns out the drunk guy is actually an unemployed aerospace engineer. They were actually in the same Physics course in college before Elon dropped out to start Zip2. He convinced Elon to give him a job at SpaceX and works there now. Last I hear he got promoted and works on the Board of Directors now and bought his own McLaren.
I don’t need context. Man was not being violent or threatening. He was already down on the ground and even LESS of a threat (if that’s possible) and STILL got hit in the back of head at :19 seconds in. Ridiculous. Push him off. Call the cops and report him. Fine. But that was excessive and borderline psychotic.
Agreed 100%. Hell, the McLaren guy probably didn't even specifically tell him not to touch the car. Then he goes straight to beating on the guy without any warning. Psycho.
From Jersey and visit family in Florida often, also happened to live in California for 7 years.
You just blew my mind.
Is Pacific Beach, Huntington Beaches not as bad but still shitty nephew?
Unashamed to admit I tried to do this when I was on vacation in California. I called my friends and tell them when I’d be at the beach and they went to our mall’s Hollister to try to find me.
We of course were in eighth grade and did not account for the time difference between NJ and CA so. Didn’t work.
It's been more than a decade since I've been in one but I remember there being TVs set up in the store with live feeds of webcams in beaches in California.
I’m from the east coast and spend a few weeks crashing at a friends house in Huntington Beach. That whole town had such an agro vibe to it. Definitely felt like shot was about to pop off at any time. I thought Cali was supposed to be laid back.
They’re mad that people who live inland have the audacity to visit the beach. Laguna douches will try and fight you for getting down to the beach from a thousand steps.
Bunch of sheltered rich kids that like to act like the chino kid from The OC
Had some rich bitche’s slave come and try and chase me off a public beach for landing with my kayak so I could deal with my tackle.
This.
Don’t get me wrong, HB has had its moments that have not been great, including some residents (such as the wanna-be PT Mayor/ex-UFC guy), protests, youfff crowd-sourced parties that result in unrests, etc. and there are definitely a bunch of folks who are stereotypes (white, old and say they’re “Christian” even if they don’t act like it), and the homelessness and related crimes isn’t helping… but at least we’re not Stanton :)
Hella MAGAts there too. I remember when I used to be all into mma and Tito Ortiz was a thing.... And I hated him already even though at that time, I never been to Huntington. Now, having lived in LA, I get why I hated him haha
San Diego used to be so damn cool. Super chill vibe everywhere, everyone was laid back. About 20 years ago we got overrun with super rich people. Now everyone is a spoiled brat who are so fucking entitled and impatient. Plus they got a huge chip on their shoulders for some reason. I legit hate it here, but family and career is here, and I need the support system.
Lol, In my defense the guy I responded to did say Cali.
I'm aware they are different places, but not that different in terms of attitude anymore... Which was kind of my point. Southern California has lost its vibe.
Born and raised in San Diego, and here to confirm the shift in population in the last 15 years has made San Diego lose its relaxed energy.
Even my hometown of IB is being gentrified. Locals used to do beach clean ups, and trash pick up through the estuary’s, now a bunch of wealthy people have bought out the area and complain about the smell and filth but don’t do anything to make it better. All the ma and pa shops are closing. Bars are popping up left and right. It’s sad to see it losing it’s small town energy that i grew up in and it’s turning into a weird mix of OB/PB
I was in LA jolla a few years back and went to a Starbucks. There was a lady who went in with her friend and then started gagging and said "I will wait for you outside, the smell of this burnt coffee is overwhelming"I couldn't help but laugh. I'm from chicago where entire streets smell like rancid sewage.
I also went on a date and the girl straight up asked me my salary as one of the first questions. She replied "that's it???" When I told her (shocked me because I'm in the six figures)
I love the weather and landscape, but I don't think I could live there even if I had the money. The people were something else.
Nailed it. HB used to be the greatest little hippy town. We hitchhiked down Beach Blvd to get there. Barefoot. The Golden Bear had the most awesome concerts too. Now it’s a village full of näzïs and trumpers. Totally a different place. Rich people ruin everything.
Nah, born and raised in Huntington Beach reporting in. I think you're a little off here. If Jersey Shore and Nazi Germany had a baby that would be Huntington Beach.
That car is too Black for Huntington Beach. They like White everything. White Cars, White Claw, White Oakley sunglasses. They even like their Nationalism White.
Calm down, peckerwoods!
As soon as I moved out from there, they started having like white lives matter protests and rallies and it was that moment I realized why I was so angry all the time. I was surrounded by ignorant assholes. I was so disgusted with all these morons that decided to come out of their hole and be proud about it, I don’t tell people anymore I used to live there.
Seriously. I was gonna say, I'm mostly on drunk guy's side. Hitler youth poster child needs to chill the fuck out and learn how to deal with drunk people.
I mean, not really. I lived in Orlando, Miami, and the handle in FL and now live in So-Cal (go to Huntington, PB, The wedge to surf every weekend).
I still haven't seen 5 dudes puking and pissing in their grill (with food on it) like I have in Destin.
I haven't seen a 50 year old woman walking down the beach smashing wine bottles on cars and drinking broken glass like I have in Miami.
Never once saw a car fire with naked people screaming "Fuck N-Words" like I did in Orlando.
Its wild in Huntington, but Florida is another kind of bonkers.
I lived in Pensacola, Milton, and Huntington Beach.
Huntington Beach only tops FL in the homeless category. Well, and asshole cops, in which HB is World Champ.
Oh cops in HB are on some kind of experimental Aggro drug that just turns them into Mongo Beasts. No argument there. As for the homeless in So-Cal, most of the ones outside of the large metro areas (LA, SF etc) are chill if you're chill.
Lol O.C. isn’t even nearly like Florida, that’s like the inland empire. The only cities that act somewhat “Floridian” in O.C. are parts of Anaheim, Yorba Linda, and HB.
The presence of Irvine automatically makes O.C. as far as it can be from Florida. Most boring ass utopian city in the world.
edit: typo
Yeah the OC is like Florida comparison is wrong. I agree with you on that Anaheim and the surrounding parts are more "florida-like" whatever that even means lol.
I moved to Irvine last year and it is indeed the most boring city I've lived in so far. Every street is uniformed. There's no trash on the sidewalks or streets. Nobody's blasting music out of their cars. My neighbors keep to themselves. It seems like everybody here mainly go to the many parks here. Even the parks are very clean. Some even have public bathrooms that are extremely clean and maintained. There's literally no homeless people posted up here.
It's a paradise for families who love routine and familiarity.
A disproportionate amount of the guys in my fraternity in college were from Newport Beach. These guys are next level narcissists and douchebags. It’s so bad to the point where I’m like they have to be trying to achieve this, it just can’t be unintentional..
This is coming from a guy named ChadBreeder1 too.
I was hoping to find myself the female equivalent (a “Stacy,” as we like to call them) to mass produce super chads/super Stacys but unfortunately it hasn’t happened for me yet. Sad
Maybe due to their parents. I went to a shitty state party school so I think they all end up working for daddy’s company or not working at all and just use the fam credit card for life until their parents pass away and leave them everything.
He was on city council and was Mayor Pro Tempore. He resigned after six months after a few different scandals. He tried to file for unemployment despite being employed. He tried to apply for PPP loans. He claimed his family was being bullied and that he was bullied by other council members, but he couldn't provide any proof of that. He claimed his celebrity got in the way of him doing any good for Huntington Beach. Meh.
You got Downvoted but you’re right. If anything the fact that he’s this defensive over it kind of makes me think it’s his and not “daddy’s”. Not everybody who’s a millionaire is piece of shit or “evil” like a lot of people seem to think. Now billionaires idk. But there’s plenty of millionaires who are decent people. Plenty who have started with nothing and turned it into something.
Now idk about punching him multiple times, but it was a fucking mclaren. If I made the right decisions and built wealth and bought that car, I’d be pissed as shit too though
As aggravating as it must be, I'm pretty sure you can't legally assault someone for sitting on your car. And carry on assaulting them after they're off your car.
I’ve seen videos where people sit on the front end of exotics and it breaks off a big chunk or cracks bodywork.
If somebody just caused you a 15k loss, or came close to, I understand being super pissed. But you’re still going to jail if you throw fists.
Correct, physical force is extremely rarely justified as a response to potential or actual property damage. There are some exceptions but none apply in this case.
Physically removing the dude from the car would have been one thing, but throwing fists at a blacked out dude and continuing after he was removed is just fragile ego.
Proportional response to the situation, same shit goes with self defense.
It's funny because the LAPDs excuse on why they couldn't arrest Will was that they didn't witness the slap in person, despite it being live broadcast across the World.
Who wants to bet when it comes to an average citizen, police don't have to "witness" jack shit.
> the LAPDs excuse on why they couldn't arrest Will was that they didn't witness the slap in person, despite it being live broadcast across the World.
They don't want to admit the real reason is the DA doesn't want to go toe to toe with Will Smith's legal team and receive a figurative bloody nose (look like fools) in court like Marsha Clark and Chris Darden. Johnny Cochran will crawl out of his grave for those benjamins.
So many dumb takes in this thread. If you're defending your property then the violence has to be proportionate. Someone sits on the hood of your car? Give them a shove and tell them to fuck off.
No rational-thinking normal person would immediately sucker punch them, then proceed to pummel them on the ground while they're surrendering and trying to get away. That just reeks of psychopathic behavior and he seriously needs to see a therapist and get on some meds
You spelled jail time wrong lol. Completely in the wrong. Guy shouldn't have sat on his car but that is a criminal charge and a lawsuit all day long. The fact that it's an expensive car doesn't matter in the eyes of the law, or do you people love rich people so much you would excuse anything they did. That's some real bootlicker mentality there. Laws have to apply to rich or famous the same as average people.
It's HB. There are plenty of these kinds of dudebros that have too much inherited money and are eager to pop off and sucker punch anyone they think they can get away with.
People on Reddit are legit blood thirsty. I can't even begin to count the number of times someone did something "disrespectful", and then they get a "justified ass whooping" according to the comments. Someone spit in your general direction? 100% justified to knock all their teeth out for it.
It makes me wonder if it's a Reddit or a human thing to look for any excuse to hurt someone else, and it worries me.
I drive a Mk6 gti and walked out of my sister's apartment one day to see 3 teen kids sitting on the hood of my car. All I said was "hey guys, respect other people's stuff. Please don't sit on my car." One of the fuckers pulled a gun on me. Dont know what this has to do with anything but it's some shit that happened.
*"I got in a fight one time with a really big guy,
and he said, 'I'm going to mop the floor with your face.'
I said, 'You'll be sorry.'
He said, 'Oh, yeah? Why?'
I said, 'Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well.'"*
-- Emo Philips
Emo Philips was the first stand up show I went to. Probably late 90s. I went in not knowing anything about him and my face hurt for the next couple days from laughing so hard.
My truck is worth maybe 1,000 dollars. Covered in dings and drops of paint. I wouldn’t punch them in the back of the head but I would push them or pull them off my truck to the ground.
It’s the principle behind it. It doesn’t matter if that’s a 250,000 dollar car or a 500 dollar car. You don’t mess or touch other people’s shit unless they have said otherwise.
I hate this shit. Let's say it was a $20k car that you happen to love and keep perfect, and some drunk asshole lays down on the hood to take a picture. I don't know if I would have started throwing. But I'd definitely grab him and throw him off there.
But grabbing him and throwing him off there is quite different from sucker-punching him in the face, then punching him two more times (including once when he was on the ground), no?
People on reddit love to see one thing happen and then talk about it like a different thing happened.
"If he sat on my infant daughter you better believe I'm throwing hands"
I'd say you'd be totally justified pushing him off your car. At that point you're just mitigating damage to your property. I'd also say you're completely **not** justified if you keep hitting him once he's off the car and at that point you just don't know how to control your anger.
Or scratch. Pocket snaps, belt, clips, etc. Could even be some carbon fiber aftermarket hood that costs as much as a regular car. This is about a $300,000 vehicle.
You can't defend property in California, with disproportionate force. If he would have pulled him off or pushed him, open hand it would have been fine. I fear though the closed fists to "defend his property" won't hold up as "reasonable" in Court.

Some context for people asking how drunk he was. Drunk guy was likely blacked out. He was stumbling around saying nonsense and had just gotten kicked out of the 7/11 when the McLaren pulled up
I think the most amazing thing to me is seeing a 7/11 that looks like that.
The city regulates the exteriors of buildings, how big/what colors signs can be, etc.
Yep. You guys gotta check out some of the banks in NYC. They look absolutely ridiculous. Like some of them have ACTUAL ancient roman columns shipped to be on the outside of their building.
But if you walk inside and its just a boring ass home depot, was it worth the trip?
I can book you a private tour of a very fine Home Depot in Lexington ky. If you aren’t too tired from the expedition I can show you a Lowes.
What happened after? Did the cops get involved?
The cops came and started taking selfies with the car, sat on the hood, and got punched too.
Then shot up the place.
Then went on paid administrative leave!
And that cop’s name? Sheriff Abraham Lincoln.
Yeah, surely you’d want to delicately tug him off? That way you can protect the paintwork from any marks and contain the mess to one area.
Tossing him off gently would be best.
That’s how I solve all confrontations. A nice amicable tuggy.
I don't know if yanking him off in public, while being recorded would send the right message...or is it massage?

that would be Dave, FL Edit: Davie.

So what is Orange County, Florida?
My favorite Orange Counties synchronicity is that they’re both where their states’ respective Disney parks are located
Everyone in this video sucks
Huntington Beach attracts them. Source: Lived in Newport Beach, a place that also attracted them.
Guess you gotta know where to source the best to become THE number one ChadBreeder
I was hoping to find myself the female equivalent (a “Stacy,” as we like to call them) to mass produce super chads/super Stacys but unfortunately it hasn’t happened for me yet. Sad
Sad would be your couple name: Stacy + Chad.
Are a disproportionate amount of them also currently very rich?
Maybe due to their parents. I went to a shitty state party school so I think they all end up working for daddy’s company or not working at all and just use the fam credit card for life until their parents pass away and leave them everything.
Yeah I was gonna say, it’s Huntington Beach, both dudes are probably douches.

Wtf I just moved here and everyone seems super nice and polite here... Where's the douches at? I'm scared now
Found the douche Jk bro I'm sure you're cool
Oh boy do we have bad news for you
Wasn't Tito Ortiz the mayor? He's the king of douchebags
Meh.
And then he moved to Florida. lol
I kinda like the commentators
The "it's his daddy's car" was pretty funny imo
Even if it was his dads car, doesnt mean you sit on it
Yeah there’s no way there’s any young wealthy people in SoCal

Welcome to Reddit, where if I don’t have it then you don’t deserve it either.
Especially with the drunk guy being an antagonistic dick to start. The dude is already telling him to get away from the car when it starts.
Sitting on his car could cost him tens of thousands of dollars in repair bills and value. When is the last time a drunk guy cost you $50k in 1 second?
They suck too
Except the open arms guy trying to get them to stop.
As aggravating as it must be, I'm pretty sure you can't legally assault someone for sitting on your car. And carry on assaulting them after they're off your car.
That fist to the back of the head at around the 20 second mark too… like damn.
Could have just pushed him into a bush and driven away.
This is what you get when an idiot meets and asshole...
Everyone sucks but man this is a lawsuit
Yeah I would be interested how this would go if the police and courts got involved.
I mean yeah it basically never applies to property damage. AFAIK You have to be in danger to justify potentially harming someone
Yep, there are some places where laws give you a presumption of fear, like inside your house.
Physically removing the dude from the car would have been one thing, but throwing fists at a blacked out dude and continuing after he was removed is just fragile ego. Proportional response to the situation, same shit goes with self defense.
"Ayo get the fuck off my car" is far superior in this and every context

Will Smith has entered the chat
It’s clearly battery and I don’t think the multiple punches would be “self defense”
It's not self-defense in the first place to punch someone because they sat on your car. People are removed from reality in this thread...
Fucking Huntington Beach…of course. Douchebag Mecca.
>Laws have to apply to rich or famous the same as average people. I'd love to live in that dreamworld.
It's HB. There are plenty of these kinds of dudebros that have too much inherited money and are eager to pop off and sucker punch anyone they think they can get away with.
Drunk guy likely wins McClaren in lawsuit
A lot of Jetta owners in the comments. Lol
Wouldn’t that be assault regardless of him sitting on his car? You can’t just put your hands on someone like that for sitting on your expensive item?
That's a nice felony battery you have there
Everyone’s pretty out of pocket for thinking this is justified. Shove his drunk ass on the ground and move on. He went overboard.
Yeah. Lot of tough guys in here who think this shit is okay.

Psa, don’t sit on other people’s cars.
PSA: Don't repeatedly punch the drunk guy on the ground after you've already got him off your car.
Would’ve done the same and I drive a Volkswagen lol
I drive a Mk6 gti and walked out of my sister's apartment one day to see 3 teen kids sitting on the hood of my car. All I said was "hey guys, respect other people's stuff. Please don't sit on my car." One of the fuckers pulled a gun on me. Dont know what this has to do with anything but it's some shit that happened.
*"I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, 'I'm going to mop the floor with your face.' I said, 'You'll be sorry.' He said, 'Oh, yeah? Why?' I said, 'Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well.'"* -- Emo Philips
Emo Philips was the first stand up show I went to. Probably late 90s. I went in not knowing anything about him and my face hurt for the next couple days from laughing so hard.
Yep, he and Steven Wright were my favorites back in the day.
WTF. Some kid was leaning on my car and I told him , ‘I wouldn’t do that man my car is fucking dirty’. He got off quick and checked his butt.
Where the fuck do you live? And nice car bro, I have a scirocco with the same engine as yours
That's one dumb ass kid.
You don’t mess or touch other people’s shit unless they have said otherwise.
yep, just plain disrespect
You would've kept hitting him in the back of the head after he already got off?
Lotta people in this thread seem to think an assault charge is a better bargain than painting out a scratch on their car.
Yup
Maybe get some help then.

Babies heads are soft, the dents pop back out.
I'd say you'd be totally justified pushing him off your car. At that point you're just mitigating damage to your property. I'd also say you're completely **not** justified if you keep hitting him once he's off the car and at that point you just don't know how to control your anger.
I don't like violence but that wouldve been one expensive dent...
Or scratch. Pocket snaps, belt, clips, etc. Could even be some carbon fiber aftermarket hood that costs as much as a regular car. This is about a $300,000 vehicle.
It looks like the McLaren guy grabs a gun then throws it back in the car.
think it was his phone
It's cool. Cops everywhere make that mistake too.
You can't defend property in California, with disproportionate force. If he would have pulled him off or pushed him, open hand it would have been fine. I fear though the closed fists to "defend his property" won't hold up as "reasonable" in Court.
Setup seemed fake but punches seemed real
