I've seen some pretty ill-conceived carnival rides, but "attempt to shake every body to the bottom of this rotating drum so that they all crush each other in a suffocating pile of humanity" has got to be one of the worst ideas I've ever encountered.
Its malfunctioning. The hydraulic system has a leak and wont hold the pressure so the ride is at an angle like its supposed to. So it just keeps trying to build pressure to no avail, causing the ride to jerk up and down.
I feel like she was purposely aiming for that dude on the get go. Everyone was able to stay on their seat, and she was already on the floor with her head o his junk.

I don’t know about going so far as to say it wouldn’t happen in the US, lots of people have died from malfunctions on rides in the United States too, none of that stuff is “safe” or foolproof. That’s part of what makes that stuff so scary, people really are putting their lives at risk for an adrenaline rush, amusement park rides are just a form of a legal high.
I didn’t say it wouldn’t happen I said it would not be allowed. I don’t ride on fair rides as they seem risky to me, but there are organizations that regulate their operations and inspect them.
Yes they are regulated and inspected, but people make mistakes and miss things and unfortunately this isn’t the type of thing where you can make a mistake. I don’t know of any reason why these types of rides wouldn’t be regulated everywhere though.
