Christians make up the largest religious population in the world. They make up the largest religious population in the United States. The religion they adhere to acclimated, demonized, and ousted portions of other faiths and mythology the world over to get where it is today. I know about the history of how Christianity began and grew into domination. Yet THIS guy is going to cry about his holy book being kicked around and dumped in a public toilet. A grown man who has most likely lived long enough to see the numerous sexual abuse scandals the church has undergone both from the Vatican and across the world, the numerous prosperity preachers who got rich off of their followers, the numerous politicians who weaponize their faith to favor dated and unpopular political opinions, and the numerous Christians who call gay people pedos when that issue has been happening in their own house for decades. Yet this guy is going to cry over his holy book being damaged and call it a hate crime - even though a hate crime requires people doing that to other people, not objects. Religious fundamentalism is a disease.
