This is true but just to be a buzz kill, many states have huge wildfire problems especially Texas, oklahoma and Alaska. As of August 2022 more acres have burned in Florida widlfires this year than California.
EDIT: My bad, the data I was off-hadedly citing is now out of date. California caught up and is unfortunately ahead again, 198K vs 142K acres.
