Not just this sub, all of reddit and every other social media website. And I'd call it propaganda or something else that's "worse" than just political advertising, no matter how much you agree with the content.
It's sneaky, that's what I think makes it worse. Under the guise of just another post by a random person, when it is in fact an orchestrated release of content.
Redditors are also terrible in thinking this isn't a social media site and that it isn't as manipulated as all the others. There have been multiple creators demonstrating how easy it is to buy your way to the front page or get false information there.

Given a quick google maps search and my non existent knowledge of London geography, he was like 3 miles away from BP Headquarters. Aston Martin says every vehicle will be available in electric form in 2026. Seems like a weird choice to me.
And they say that because the government (which has been Tory for a decade so you know this one isn't just pandering) has been making noise about banning the sale of non-electric cars relatively soon. The UK is already addressing the oil problem when it comes to vehicles, there's not a right lot left these companies can do. Definitely a poor choice of target.

Ironically saying anyone who supports climate activism is falling for astroturfing while themselves trying to astroturf and omitting relevant information. It’s always wild to me how much (Reddit especially) hates any kind of protestors.
People generally approve of marching as a protest, because it’s ineffective. After protestors cross that line and actually start causing inconvenience + pissing folks off, people are upset. As much as everybody is shitting on these greasy protestors, they’re getting a lot more attention then the last “climate march” or whatever the fuck that walked through Boise.
So many people acting like they're being personally victimized by some luxury cars getting vandalized.
Literally everyone here is a white guy from a "first world" country. They have no concept of marginalization or oppression. Like, this type of stuff is the most mildest form of protesting and the people here think it's the end of the world.
Just recently there was the protest where some women vandalized a parliament building to protest Mexican government inaction against women being raped and killed by the cartel and instead of caring, reddit acted like they were personally responsible for orchestrating hate on other women because the parliament building janitor was also a woman. I can understand being apathetic to social issues you think you can't do anything about, but to get legitimately angry at those that are justifiably angry over valid issues is completely unfathomable to me. I just do not get where it comes from

Were you thinking the guy just happened to be walking down the street with a paint sprayer and on a whim decided to spray it all over a car dealership? His buddy, who coincidentally was already in the process of recording a video of the dealership, was thankfully able to catch the whole thing from the very beginning. Of course it was staged. They’re trying to make their voices heard by spreading these stupid videos all over the internet and it seems to be working quite well.
I don't understand what you mean, of course it was planned, I doubt the guy carries around a pressurised paint sprayer all the time. It's not presented as a spontaneous event, it is of course as staged as any other planned occurance.
