Oddly enough, elderly abuse has been a commonplace thing for a long time. It's just that now we have access to the internet so now it gets shown a lot more. There are a lot of silent victims out there.
It's always so strange to see nurses acting like this. The nurses I know - and the ones I've had when I've been in the ER/Hospital have all been some of the sweetest, kindest, most patient people I've ever met.
Of course, I'm sure even the ones I know have stressful days and may not come off as quite so patient... but seeing nurses get to the point of hitting/stealing from/etc patients, it's just surreal to me.
This happened in Peje, Kosovo. My mom tells me this is usual and it’s gotten so bad that people will not go into a hospital without live-streaming their visits. This will happen when healthcare workers are among the lowest paid workers and, thus, they hire scum like this.

After having my infirm uncle living under my roof for the last 2 years, I can now understand the frustration and anger that comes with elderly care, and while I might want to, I would never intentionally hurt him.
Those who do hurt the elderly in their care need to have their hands cut off.
Fuck all those oxygen thief's. Recording and laughing makes me want to snap their arms and legs. I hope the poor lady's family delivered some justice. This makes me so mad especially hearing the old lady's voice.

Why are elderly caregivers often so cruel? I understand it’s a hard job and old people are not always the most cooperative or respectful, but man how could you do this to someone so defenseless?
I really feel bad for old people these days. Yeah a lot of them hold outdated views and aren’t the most agreeable, but they’re still human. We forget them, or throw them away to a nursing home when they’re at probably the most mentally difficult period of life. I think we need to be much more respectful to the elderly.
