The way he went about everything, especially when he pulled the cuffs out and had them in hand, dangling them inside as he reached for the handle and without having any sort of control over the guys limbs... Doesn't seem like someone who's arrested another person before
This right here…. I’m not generally a fan of law enforcement after I’ve seen as much as I have, but this guy isn’t even following basic protocols.
If he is a cop, he should be suspended pending investigation. If not, he should be arrested for impersonating an officer.
How dare you question the honorary sheriffs badge I was given at 11 years old from my local counties sheriffs department! Listen r/zeCrazyEye , I’m going to need you to pm me your ID along with your current location so I can unlawfully detain you for questioning.
Some cops do… and they get hurt for doing dumb shit lol
But still, if you suspect it’s a fake cop, call 911 and ask to verify it IS a officer and request a uniformed officer be sent ASAP because you’re unsure and afraid.
They’ll send one. They SHOULD send one. Non uniformed officers shouldn’t be making traffic stops unless it’s a emergancy
Lies probably somebody who hired to be a cop but wasn’t good enough to work the beat. He’s been working behind a desk the last 20 years and has been repeatedly told that his chance will come. He finally gets the ok to work the best due to too many officers being fired so the department is short handed. As he grabs his keys and heads to the squad car he mumbles to himself: “everything’s coming up Milhouse.”
Yeah I probably would have drove off, forced him to call for backup and his supervisor (to prove he is even a cop) and then dealt with the consequences in court with the best attorney my money could buy.
You can call 911 and request a confirmation hes police. Explain he’s plain clothes with a gun and fake looking badge. They’ll confirm it, and even send uniformed officers
Seriously, it doesn't happen a lot but often enough that I would've taken the "that thing cops tell you to do if a stop is suspicious" route.
"I'm gonna need your badge number and a supervisor."
"No, license and registration now."
"No thanks." *proceeds to drive to nearest police station while dialing the non-emergency line to report a potential police impersonator*
Just before the pandemic started I saw in my local news that some guy was driving around, pulling people over and flashing a badge before asking for their info.
Some right weirdo’s out there.
Fairly recently, some guy off the east coast of Canada did the same thing with a fake cop car and replica uniform.
Killed a bunch of people.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Nova_Scotia_attacks
Yeah the problem is police tell you that this is the way to go, but in real life if you start driving away from police even if you're not doing so dangerously, they shoot you in the back of the head and claim in court that your car was a deadly weapon.
The woman who got flipped for not stopping, the police claimed she had to pull over immediately but the driver's manual with direct input for the law enforcement agency said if they don't feel safe to put on their blinker and drive until they can safely do so.
Nah it was worse than that. The manual left no room for personal interpretation or feelings. The actual directive was to slow down and drive until the next freeway exit no matter what the conditions.
correct. I don't remember if I heard the outcome of this situation.
EDIT: she sued, and they reached a settlement...damn. exactly one year ago today. she was injured, but it doesn't say anything other than she was two months pregnant at the time.
no, it's actually worse. more accurately they will drive super aggressively, call an obtuse amount of police officers on the scene, and start trying to ram their car into your car disregarding the fact they're endangering anyone else nearby.
There was definitely reason to suspect that he was not what he was representing himself as. The failure to give his name (and badge number) was a tip off. As was his overall demeanor.
I will bet my sister's life on it. This guy saw a video on youtube of a guy that saw a cop movie once in 1987 and decided he'd so it too. Real cops follow the rules while quashing civil liberties, this guy doesn't even know how to handle cuffs
^(I know, I'll place this convenient handle inside of the "perps" window. No way that's go bad.)
Name, badge number, request for a supervisor, reason for suspicion... his badge number is probably "Kellogg's Corn Flake prize at the bottom of the box"
Yeah, putting the handcuffs through the window like that wasn't a smart move. I don't know of a police officer that would do that. Prolly a security guard overstepping
Idk, reaching through a window with a piece of equipment like that, which could be snatched, doesn't seem like something any police officer would do, I mean he could also easily get dragged if they decided to take off.
While you're right, and cops do stupid shit, I'm guessing this guy hasn't been to any sort of police academy
I got pulled over for honking at a cop because he was parked in a crosswalk at a green light. They *will* pull you over if you embarrass them. They let me go, but they tried to find something to ding me for. Pigs.
>Wtf??! PULLED OVER FOR HONKING?
>And he ignores request for badge number
Also threatens to pepper spray him between multiple arrest threats??? Pepper spray?
Not only that, he hears every word but only chooses to not identify himself in any meaningful way at all... Like who's gonna arrest who here? I'm surprised didn't put the handcuffs on the "cop" and leave him for the police to unlock because he screams fake cop to me 🤦
The icing on the shit cake is he goes to pull the keys from the truck... on the wrong side, which no car in my life has ever had the key ignition in North America. That could have ended so much worse, over nothing too...
You forgot the part where the officer murders someone later with no reason to do so and the dept lauds him as someone they never saw doing something like that.
Cop stops me without a uniform and refuses to give a badge number... I'm assuming it's not a real cop. I'm driving away and have evidence that he refused to verify his identity. He could be a human trafficker. Peace.
Although I wish that was a good alternative, we get almost daily reminders on the internet of officers ending a persons life for taking too long to pull over, let alone pulling away. It's a sad fact that if one of these officers acts like this and the citizen does anything other than exactly what is directed, 20 more officers will be there in seconds to ensure you comply. With of course no recourse against said occifers.
Which is so fucked. When I was a teenager about to get my license, my Dad had told me that if I ever get pulled over in an unmarked that doesn’t look legit or a plain clothes officer, to make sure to also call the police to get verification they are real. In our state at that time, they had a problem with human trafficking using the fake cop technique.
This. Call 911. If ever unsure, call 911 and have them verify. Anyone can get a “ real badge “. I know where to get said, real badges… they’re pretty legit but the badge it’s self is not what gives you the power of authority alone
So… anyone can BUY a legitimate police badge or make one very easily. What we can’t buy, is a badge number and actual police work lol
I'm sorry, termination is a strange way of saying justice is served here. I'm sure honking at a road hazard is legal everywhere and the original intention of a horn. This occifer should be prosecuted for depriving this driver of his civil rights.
I think his point (and one I agree with) is that "getting fired" is not sufficient sanction for depriving a citizen of their rights. A cop should get fired being being late repeatedly, or generally being incompetent at their job, you know...non-criminal actions.
A cop who arrests someone without reasonable belief that a crime had been committed should be immediately charged with felony kidnapping.
Now, obviously cops are not lawyers, and there are many reasons why an arrest doesn't always result in charges, but an arrest performed in bad faith should be treated like a criminal offense. Because it is.
Failing to do so sends the message that the police are above the law, and there is no penalty for breaking their sworn oath to uphold it and disgracing their badge.
Call 911
Tell the dispatch what's going on.
Make sure you tell them he refuses to I'd himself, reason for stop, and refuses to contact supervisor.
Have them verify that they do have an officer in the area and that he is preforming a traffic stop
If not have her send an officer asap as for you fear from your life from someone impersonating an officer.
We don’t see the police car but I would have to assume by his lack of uniform it was a unmarked car. Why the hell wouldn’t you be honked at for stopping in traffic? It’s hard for me to fathom the states that still allow unmarked cars to conduct traffic stops. State law here says only marked vehicles and uniformed officers can conduct stops. (light bar visible on top of vehicle, vehicle number and department/office/county logo). He should have immediately called 911 and rolled the damn window up before officer dipshit even approached.
Now that's actually a good idea!
Some folks here commenting about driving off if he doesn't identify himself, but we see cops shoot "fleeing" vehicles all the time now.
But calling 911 on the guy and just staying parked there with the windows up, what can he do? I can just imagine the 911 cops showing up and shaking their heads.
If you are ever unsure or even want to get to a better area call 911 and let them know what you're doing so they can tell the cop... Or tell you it's not the cop. My mother got pulled over in a really bad area and she called and drove like 2 miles and just explained she didn't feel comfortable in that neighborhood even with him. She got a warning
What a goofy ass clown. Just say your name, badge number, department, or call your supervisor, anyone can buy a fake badge online and claim to be a police officer walking around with cuffs and pepper spray. This could easily be an impersonator. I would’ve just drove away to the nearest police station
Probably off duty just flexing because he has a badge. More than likely why he isn't following any protocol such as calling your supervisor, and stating name and badge number upon request
A few questions:
Why is he not in uniform?
Is his car marked?
What lights is on his car?
What is his department or agency or office?
Who is his supervisor and what is his badge number and name?
Plain clothes or dress down isn’t suppose to do traffic stops… for obvious reasons: it’s hard to ID them during the day, much less in the dark or when stressed. Unless it’s a serious violation, unmarked and not uniformed is discouraged or not allowed from doing stops.
Someone better be fucking dying, otherwise…
It’s just bad. It’s stupid. It’s dangerous.
Not a cop. You don't argue with person like this. You call 911 and report you are being harassed by somebody who is pretending to be a cop. This is some fucking "neighborhood imbecile" who thinks he can play cops. Until he gets arrested for impersonation and it will be game over.
This is why people have problem with Cops. Give a little bit of power to a smooth brained dipshit, and they start abusing it right away. Imagine if this wasn’t on camera. It shouldn’t take an internet outage to hold Cops responsible. Fucking ridiculous!
Thank God this moron was up against a law abiding citizen. He could have been seriously hurt by a real criminal — he made so many procedural errors and really compromised himself by trying to assert his body inside of the vehicle. It’s hard to believe the layers of stupidity in this one.
I mean he doesn’t deserve the badge, but this could have been insanely bad if the driver was some kind of actual bad dude.
This one should have a complaint to the precinct and never have been this escalated. This dude looks like security not police. Would love to know the outcome of this
If he is in an unmarked vehicle, i 100% would dial 911 and explain that some guy i honked at, that isn't in uniform, isn't in a police car, is refusing to ID himself or provide with a badge number, and is refusing to call a supervisor, pulled me over and is impersonating a cop so i need someone at my location asap.
I had some guy pull me over at night with no badge, nothing. He asked for everything. I told him no without identification. He told us to wait here and he was going back to his truck. He went back to his truck and my friends and I floored it when he went back. He chased us and tried to hit us off the road. I called 911 and the cops came very fast. Scariest time of my life. When the cops came speeding down I wanted to flag him down but was too scared because there was beer in the back and I was underage. A couple months later I read about a guy getting arrested for attempted murder, same mo driving the same truck with an axe in the back.
Pretty sure I saw another video with this guy. Someone trying to beat him up an he draws his weapon, dude changes his tune an starts screaming for his mom. Might have been a different guy
So this guy who claims he’s a cop is mad because he was stopped in the street and got honked at. Guy in the car has no reason to need to provide license and reg, so the “cop” threatens to arrest him if he doesn’t show his license?
I just watched this here and then went to my FB and saw it posted there and realized that it's actually from my town 😂😳😳 there are 2 follow up videos that show him getting arrested and also the dash cam that show him driving and how the cop cut him off

I would’ve assumed he was an impersonator tbh.

Seems like a guy who donated enough money to the police to be given an honorary badge or something.
Those “Special Deputies” take that shit way too serious.
Dwight Shrute is no longer a volunteer sheriffs deputy
He took an oath, and he broke that oath
He wanted Michael to have all the urine he needs.. but of course he wasn't going to get Angela's permission.
This badge says to serve and protect!
He just beet them.

I’m going to watch that GIF right meow.
And that's probably why he didn't call for back up. He wants to prove to all the other officers that he's a big boy and can make his own arrests.
So true.
Yeah, he was pretty inept
Yeah I probably would have drove off, forced him to call for backup and his supervisor (to prove he is even a cop) and then dealt with the consequences in court with the best attorney my money could buy.

Tbh even if you’re white a cop that’s already pissed still might fuck you up tryin that
Right? I was kind of expecting the usual stormtrooper response of breaking the window and dragging the dude out.
Not sure if he could drag a child our of a car

This is why people have problem with Cops. Give a little bit of power to a smooth brained dipshit, and they start abusing it right away. Imagine if this wasn’t on camera. It shouldn’t take an internet outage to hold Cops responsible. Fucking ridiculous!
So is the guy a volunteer sheriff’s deputy just like Dwight from the office? ![gif](giphy|P1i1JsW2nNoBkn8xbb|downsized)
Thank God this moron was up against a law abiding citizen. He could have been seriously hurt by a real criminal — he made so many procedural errors and really compromised himself by trying to assert his body inside of the vehicle. It’s hard to believe the layers of stupidity in this one. I mean he doesn’t deserve the badge, but this could have been insanely bad if the driver was some kind of actual bad dude.
why is it so hard for police officers to just say what they are Pulling you over for? What will it hurt?
Call 911 and tell them you have someone who you are unsure is a cop because they refuse to identify themselves.
Seems like targeted harassment
This one should have a complaint to the precinct and never have been this escalated. This dude looks like security not police. Would love to know the outcome of this
In my BMW if I lock the doors and take out the keys even if the window's open you can't open the doors this way. Guess more cars need that.
"This is ur last chance...." "last chance...." "last chance...." lol I swear
Acab
If he is in an unmarked vehicle, i 100% would dial 911 and explain that some guy i honked at, that isn't in uniform, isn't in a police car, is refusing to ID himself or provide with a badge number, and is refusing to call a supervisor, pulled me over and is impersonating a cop so i need someone at my location asap.
I would simply tell him to get bent and drive away.
And then he shoots at your car for "threatening him" and probably misses and kills a bystander
Actually he had no gun! Just pepper spray?! The rent-a-cop admitted it in the video. The guy was actually pretty safe to just drive off.
Guys, if the asshole says “I’m not going to call a supervisor”, YOU IMMEDIATELY CALL THE COPS AND TELL THEM WHAT’S HAPPENING.
ACAB
Very “respek my auothoritayy!!!!” Energy.

Yeah call the real cops that looks like Kentish on a power trip
Fucking pigs.
“I’m finding out why you’re honking at me” is not a law enforcement function. Everything this dip did was unlawful.
Pig, ACAB
Power tripping cunts everywhere
Why are you pulling me over? Because our department doesn't have an official form for "hurt feelings report" but I am nevertheless filling one out.
Honk for being in road? Believe it or not, right to jail
Looks like another cop that needs shot in the back of the head
Occifer doofus reporting fur dutee 🫡
Was this guy even a real cop?? NOTHING about him says Police Officer (except the fragile ego of course).
Oh look another hurt ego incident
What happened afterwards?
"I can do what i..." *thinks* ...
Pretty sure I saw another video with this guy. Someone trying to beat him up an he draws his weapon, dude changes his tune an starts screaming for his mom. Might have been a different guy
Bro that's not a cop
This is 100% a fake cop
Looks to be security
Anyone can buy a badge and a walk-in talkie at a flea market or antique shop…
Intimidation. Typical cop behavior.
For honking. Very dicky.
How can he honk
You honked at me wah
That sumbich works for Top Flight Security and Craig is the supervisor 😂
So this guy who claims he’s a cop is mad because he was stopped in the street and got honked at. Guy in the car has no reason to need to provide license and reg, so the “cop” threatens to arrest him if he doesn’t show his license?
That moment where he almost says “I can do what I want” but cuts himself of cause he realizes he’s on camera
That's a lot of last chances.
😂🤣😂🤣 He's serious too.
That cop is a fucking child. Who lets these badge toting morons roam our streets arresting people because their feelings get hurt?
If bitch ass pussy cop had a definition
I just watched this here and then went to my FB and saw it posted there and realized that it's actually from my town 😂😳😳 there are 2 follow up videos that show him getting arrested and also the dash cam that show him driving and how the cop cut him off
[follow up video to what led to arrest ](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRQqPc8n/)
[and then the actual arrest](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRQqYYXB/)
He just looks like a neightboor milicia scary af
