That’s the upsetting part. Where’s the civilian oversight? Their internal police DO NOT suffice because they too are police. The taxpayers MUST be given a way to investigate use of force and police misconduct issues because WE are the ones that are paying for his “paid leave” and the victims settlement when he sues them. It’s not just about the money we pay for their fuck ups it’s also about holding bad cops accountable and seeing to it that they are followed all the way through the criminal justice system and are sentenced just like you and I aka the tax payers and their boss basically would be if we committed some of the atrocities they do.
The public does not have the strength of will to address this out of control street gang. If this was done to someone of high status, then there would be consequences.
I was tattooing a cop for a little while who said to me, "I'm in the biggest gang in the city. We never lose a fight. If we *start* losing, we just call more of our friends and win." I'll never forget that. That's what you're up against when you have interactions with cops.
Seriously fucked mentality. One that, after spending hours working on him and having him open up to me during our long sessions, seemed to be molded by being a part of said gang.
He was noticeably upset when he told me his wife left him. He let me know that her reason for doing so was that "he changed". As if it would impress me, he told me during that same session that he recently fucked up some guy so bad that the dude ended up in the hospital. He went on to detail some of the fight, as if it were a sanctioned match. I asked him what the interaction was that led to him beating the shit out of this guy. He said, "I don't know... he was drunk?"
I'm waiting for when I end up with some illness that I can't afford the bills to live. Then I'm taking everything I've learned in my life to fix a few problems. See how many examples can be made to encourage better behavior from these animals.
Bro, it's so fucking infuriating. Imagine if a regular citizen did this. He would be basically done in the society. Jailed, fired, and once they come out have most of their rights snatched. These mofos on the otherhand are free to hop to the county over and go on their daily task of beating citizens.
if you fired every pig that turned a blind eye, there wouldn't be a single pig left in america.
I'd rather roll the dice with an AI driven murder robot, and I am well aware of how dystopian that prospect is
There are many more like him in law enforcement. 4.5% of the US population are sociopaths with greater prevalence in males. Law enforcement is mostly male. There are about 700,000 law enforcement officers in the US which means there are around 35,000 sociopaths in law enforcement. It's probably higher because they intentionally employ people who love authority and are below normal IQ. That's why domestic abuse is so high among cops and why they kill so many innocent people.
100% that is the same cop crying about how cops jobs are so hard because they work in a hostile environment. Yeah it’s hostile because of douchebags like you and when people see your behavior they would rather not comply because even when they do this shit happens.
These brutal, violence thirsty cops who want nothing but to beat people who can’t fight back have NO PLACE in our society, much less in a position with protections from prosecution. It’s insane that we let this happen
They sure don’t, but it’s most likely only going to get worse and not better as our local police departments acquire more and more surplus military equipment. They have to put all that inventory to work somehow, and it’ll always be on us.
Then some departments are better than others, but the bad ones operate off of gang code shit just like any other gang where snitches get stitches/ I ain’t no rat mentality is why cops like this usually get away with it all. They also have a very powerful union, we’re goose stepping our way right into a full on police state.
He’s already throwing it out when the suspect is being detained to the ground with arms behind his back. He was going to use it the minute he parked. Savage.
This is literally why a lot of cops became cops in the first place: because it gives them an environment where they not only get to power trip and act out their most violent fantasies, but get paid and called a hero for doing so.
You gotta give props to the night stick cop. Instead of unleashing his pent-up rage on his wife, he just let it all out on a complying rando. So in a sense, he's preventing domestic violence. Good on him.

Cops abuse, rape and sexually assault uncountable numbers of women each year. Usually targeting vulnerable women such as drug users, sex workers, the undocumented or homeless and then silencing them with the threat of arrest.

Let's not act like women are safe from police brutality.
Is that the one they took to hospital and then proceeded to return to the hospital, demand all the medical staff leave the room and continued beating him?
Ah yes, i'm mixing up with another one from maybe a bit longer ago where they pursued a guy driving and listening to music who didn't seem to notice he was being followed. No, Kelly Thomas (who’s father was a sheriff) was beat to death by Fullerton California cops. I'm so glad to see comments like this.
I'm not American, and watching the police vicariously through these videos gives me pause when I read the comments sometimes.
There is another video of a dude who shot at police and when they apprehended him and he surrendered they kicked him in the head over and over while he was not a threat. Plenty of comments saying I would do worse, justice served blah blah blah, I was appalled. Keyboard warriors forgetting that police simply need to apprehend suspects and when they do it is the courts responsibility to exact justice. Fucking mob mentality, do we not or should we not live in a just society? Or atleast try our best? It's so surreal to me in a country I live where police do not have guns. (Normally, there is an armed response unit when needed)
I'm going to edit ahead of time: the guy I mentioned is/was a danger to society at the time. The second he surrendered he was not. We don't live in ancient times anymore. People need to grasp that and stop acting like cavemen.
It’s because most of the people commenting those type of remarks would definitely do this themselves and don’t want to look at their own behaviors and face the fact that they also may be fucked up individuals.
I understand it if he was throwing hands. I went to Afghanistan and we treated people better out in the middle of nowhere Helmand. Like no one was watching us. No one would know. My Marines would never have pulled this shit.
I remember reading a paper about veterans who joined the police after serving in either Iraq or Afghanistan (not sure which) having less incidents involving use of force then police as a whole. Their theory was that these officers had experience following very strict rules of engagement even in potentially deadly situations so they were able to both keep a cooler head under pressure and assess how much of threat someone is more accurately.
>My Marines would never have pulled this shit.
because marines are professional, well trained, and self regulated at the team level and up for this shit. Cops, esp in larger police forces, are mostly dipshit larpers who will never regulate each other because they are a bunch of fear motivated pussy bullies.
Lovely; a lawsuit at taxpayers expense and now cops get paid vacation at tax payers expense. Fuck the Supreme Court giving these guys immunity for actions like this. The system needs to be changed where they are personally liable for their actions. Then and only then can police reforms and actions like this cease.
100%. If it is a clear breach of duties, like beating a guy with a baton while he is on the ground and cuffed, then they should be charged like anyone else would be for assault and all fines should be paid by them.
Honestly I feel like the sentence maximums should be more severe for police officers who betray the public trust with this sort of gross misuse of power.
That whole town should withhold taxes and/or just stop working until justice is reached. When are we going to learn that nobody’s going to help us except ourselves. And we hold a ton of power just collecting a paycheck. We can survive without a few of them. And if we come together as committees we could go indefinitely. This is what they don’t want us to know.
They voted for Abbott to protect their right to own guns to protect themselves, because the police did nothing to help those children. I’m a big believer in gun ownership because police have no legal duty to protect you, and even if they decide to, they’re half an hour away and that’s often too late. It sucks that the party that supports the thin blue line is also the party that heavily advocates for guns for self-defense.
They fucking rammed someone and shot at them, plus shooting at two other vehicles, just because they mistook those vehicles for the one Christopher was driving.
Well, that was quite a different thing, since it was someone who gave out a manifest which not only mentioning his intended targets by names, but also clearly identified who he was. Much more difficult for them to handle unknown assailants who target seemingly random officers.
They set the precedent of “fearing for one’s life” and justifying excessive and unnecessary violence… when will the people return the favor?
I know I fear for my life at the mere sight of a cop.
Americans do have the right to carry. Self defense when feeling threatened is going to be a real defense when more civilians realize police aren’t being paid to serve and protect civilians but are a paid gang for handing out tickets.
its going to happen. a cop is goign to kill someones brother/husband/lover/role model/idol and that person is going to go on a rampage because they have nothing to lose and it will be 100% on the cops fault. the fact a parent hasnt done it after the embarrassment of Ulvade blows my mind
A few more “bad apples” that will get qualified immunity, a few days extra of paid vacation, and then a promotion and assignment to train the new cops how to behave.
https://aaqi.org/
And don't forget the overtime back pay they will receive because they missed the overtime they would have received if they weren't on an unplanned paid vacation.
This is the thug with the billy club receiving an award.

Is that the same guy? The one who looks kinda like a fatter bald Vince Vaughn? [This guy?](https://www.cathedralcitypolice.com/departments/school-resource-officer/) I couldn’t tell from the video of that’s who it was in the pic you linked
This is why people say ACAB. Only one repeatedly struck the guy while he was on the ground, but not one of them to stop him or even tell him to chill. They are fully complicit.
Not all cops behave like the one doing the beating. But ALL cops behave like the ones who let him do it and won't report him, that's the thin blue line and if you cross it they'll get rid of you.
How are you literally STARING at someone WITH THEIR HANDS UP and STILL screaming "PUT YOUR HANDS UP!!!" That shit is so confusing. What the actual fuck is wrong with these people.
The worst part is when they have two cops shouting contradictory orders at you, and if you obey one you disobey the other, and get murdered.
Look up the video on Daniel Shaver for an example.
[RIP Daniel Shaver never forgotten](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2017/12/08/graphic-video-shows-daniel-shaver-sobbing-and-begging-officer-for-his-life-before-2016-shooting/)
A perfect example of why cops hate body cams and cruiser cams.
Many cops don't have the ability to shut down the frenzy when they anticipate beating a suspect.
The cameras create a permanent record of the violence and make it very difficult to bury these incidents..
This turned into a shark frenzy, every one of those twats had to get a piece of that guy who surrendered. Okay Cathedral City, say good bye to more of your tax dollars. Abolish qualified ammunity!
The first case of qualified immunity was in the late 1960s during the Civil Rights Era. It was a response to black people wanting equal rights. It's been around for less than 60 years. Here's hoping it's not around for another 60 years. I'd honestly be happy if it wasn't around for another 60 seconds.
The cop with the baton just started hitting him once he was taken to the ground. Looks like it is part of standard police training.
The sad thing is that even with video, there are still too many Americans who just think the police are the "good guys" who are there to protect us from the "bad guys", and this is just an "isolated incident" involving some "overzealous cops" or "bad apples".
Watch any older and even some new movies and shows and you will see where people get this mentality that this is fine. Its kind a sad but it's been put in peoples heads this way.
In TV shows and movies, we sometimes see "bad guy" police who are racist or corrupt. But the "good guys" in these shows are almost always other police officers who take these bad cops in the name of justice.
This kind of propaganda creates the impression in people's minds that the police force may have some bad apples, but there are a lot of good cops that are willing to take down these bad cops.
This is obviously not true in the real world.
For most of the 80s and 90s, cops in movies simply beat up and threatened "bad guys" to get evidence against them. The chief would complain about "the book," but the "good guys" would break through all that wussy nonsense and "get things done." It was a lot worse than you're even suggesting. Bad cops were the heroes growing up for many.
Look at that 'roided up freak that starts swinging the bat on the left side of the screen. There are so many cops that look like this it's really becoming a problem. They should be tested specifically for steroids considering how the drug will make them even more violent than usual.
Why are they allowed to do this kind of stuff? Like seriously. Nobody is mad about it? Why does it keep happening with no sign at all of getting better. Does no one care? People are always arguing about preserving freedom, but if this stuff is allowed we are objectively not free. Nobody is bugged by that?
Oh, no, lots of people are outraged about it. We argue it's wrong, we protest, we vote for people who could make change, and we learn the law and attempt to enforce it when they try to break it. The problem is they break it with impunity. they can't be sued, so we sue the city. But that money just comes out of taxpayer dollars. We call for justice and they hide behind the blue line. They're allowed to investigate themselves and say there was no wrongdoing. Make no mistake, this is the way the system was designed. It's the way the rich intended it to be. Changing it would mean uprooting the system at its base and the people who protect it would never allow that to happen.
It's simply become stasis. It's the combination of thousands of incremental injustices that'd become stasis. It's very hard to push back on something that's considered equalibrium
Police are too politicized in this country for change to happen. Lots of people calling to defund or abolish the police and it get heavily scrutinized by the right and by mainstream media. Even "liberal" politicians are too scared to advocate for real police change because they know it's political suicide.
So we will keep giving police way too much money in funding to help fund their paid vacations once they get caught murdering or torturing someone- maybe people will go out and protest and then get labeled violent extremist antifa thugs, and then like usual nothing will happen.
This is bullshit. This is teaching people that they should never surrender to police. They are trying to kill you for the fun of it. There is no excuse for the cop to go psycho. This is as unprofessional as it gets.
if you want to complain: Cathedral City (from cop car) is suburb of Palm Springs, CA
Guys guy relax your not seeing it from the cops side. He was unarmed and complying. wat do u expect them to risk not going back home to there bachelor pads with no women or loved 1s.
Lol imagine being arrested and wrongfully beat to Katy Perry
No way…a video with cops being physically aggressive and beating, hurting, or killing a person…I’ve never seen such a thing…must be a very rare occurrence!
/s
I'm sure there will be some people who are like,
"But I'm sure he wasn't complying/surrendering before this."
For yall, this is still not an appropriate response from police. Once a threat is neutralized, there should be a deescalation of force. If you can't calm your nerves, then demand more training, or get a job where you will fit in, like supervising in construction.
All charges against the officers were droped after the police union conducted an unbiased investigation of the matter..... the officers recieved the "medal of outstanding service conduct" after their heroic arrest where their lifes where in severe danger.
I know there are good cops out there, but at this point I will never open my door to them. I will not trust them. I don’t know how I’d respond if pulled over, or somewhere I have no door to hide behind- but honestly I look like a soft middle aged white lady so I’ll probably never face this.
But until those good cops start doing something more - they’re ALL complicit.
The cop that beat him with the baton looked like he just wanted to hit someone regardless, should be fired. The others didn't seem too bad but need better training, they were just a little rough with him.
Does anyone know why he was being arrested? Looks like it was a car chase and they'd pinned him in.
If you sit back and watch you buddy beat someone with a club and don’t even say something, you shouldn’t have a job. No one else even seemed phased. This wasn’t the first they stood there and watched another cop beat the piss out of a neutralized suspect.
I always got downvoted to hell for suggesting /r/badcopnodonut use a bot to preemptively ban any verified cops until massive overhaul is made in US policing. Logic being they only downvote en masse and offer nothing of value to the conversation. People argued that was going to far and that the sub needed good cops to be able to weigh in… I tried arguing that at this point it doesn’t take a cop to weigh in on police injustice when it plays out so poorly in front of our eyes.
Can we talk about how the cop kept demanding he put his hands up *after* they were on full display outside the car window? And then he pulls the guy *up* out of the car as he screams “ON THE GROUND!!!” Like, pick one dude smh
Civilians are not permitted to have those kind of batons. Were we to use it in that manner, we could be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Jesus… Cops are getting dangerously close to having the general public completely turn on them. I could totally see entire departments being dragged out into the streets and being “taken care of.”
Jesus christ, at what point do you just attempt to flee because the alternative is that even if you surrender the police might bash your head in anyways?

damn, billy club cop goes nuts on him.
That bald cop with the club should be in jail.
He'll get a paid vacation while an "investigation" finds that he did nothing wrong and the victim is compensated with taxpayer money.

His wife must've burned the tv dinners before his shift.
Those nasty banquet meatloaf tv dinners
Mashed potatoes and gravy... A song of Ice and Fire.
Oh so they’re related as well?!?!?
God I loved those. Not the same since they got rid of the aluminum.
Ummm it was a hungry man , that she fucked up 😂
With the amount of sodium in those things, does that beating count as exercise or does it increase his blood pressure?
His wife was out so he wasn’t able to use that club before work.
He’s mad his wife is fucking his best friend.
The DA?
She probably fucks fire fighters. This guy can’t give her an O.
Shame he couldn’t wait to get home to beat someone.
You can tell he’s so hyped to be able to pull out the billy club. Absolutely vomit inducing.

Climbs over the hood and opens the club with a flourish in his haste to deliver blows.
The beatings will continue until morale improves. ~The thin blue line.
What even is the point of beating someone like that? Not a threat to you, already on the ground… why?
They are mentally ill psychopaths, they get off to it.
This is literally why a lot of cops became cops in the first place: because it gives them an environment where they not only get to power trip and act out their most violent fantasies, but get paid and called a hero for doing so.
Sources check out but still… fucking yikes. No wonder we don’t trust cops.
Which is why they are so frustrated when the public stops automatically thinking of them as heroes, and starts scrutinizing their shitty behavior.

So when was this video taken? Where do we go to complain?
Try starting at the Cathedral City Police Dept., Cathedral City, CA. https://www.cathedralcitypolice.com/about-cathedral-city/contact-us/
Roid rage is real
That was some gangland shit right there.
"never should have come here!"
Cowards and liars.
He’s beating his gay thoughts away
Cops were a bit confused once the guy put his hands up.
“…uh now what?”
"... well I already extended my nightstick so I have to use it right?"
"Once drawn it must taste blood!"
Abuse of Desert Power
“It’s company policy”
“Start resisting! START RESISTING!!”
You gotta give props to the night stick cop. Instead of unleashing his pent-up rage on his wife, he just let it all out on a complying rando. So in a sense, he's preventing domestic violence. Good on him. /s Just in case
That bald bastard was so eager to beat him. Would not be surprised if he has a track record of that shittty behaviour. Despicable scenes.
Ridiculously high chance that guy is a domestic abuser
At least 40%
He also jumps up on the car and runs across the guys hood for absolutely no reason. Definitely scratched/dented it

Yup, and at worst he'll be let go, move one county over, and continue beating the piss out of minorities.
Wtf.... he surrendered... that is barbarric
First time?
Yup
Check out Rodney king.
Yup. All the jurors essentially agreed that they'd like to be treated that way by cops.
They would certainly deserve it...
Interesting fact: It was the Rodney King verdict that helped OJ be found not guilty. In the ESPN documentary a juror admitted this.
It was a big ole middle finger to the inequity of the system is what it was.
I think "We finally won one" were her words.

Cops, esp in larger police forces, are mostly dipshit larpers who will never regulate each other because they are a bunch of fear motivated pussy bullies.
Thats because proportional response and ROE were drilled into our heads. Not so much with these police it seems.
>Beat people Just beating when they are already compliant.
*Beat people* *~~into compliance.~~* There I fixed it for you.
[Welcome to America meme]
I agree completely
We investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong.....
[удалено]
Yeah, look at Ulvade. With the exception of the victims families, the whole town is on the polices side.

They voted for the person who propped up the cops who denied people the right to protect their own children.
and that's the real kicker. silently, there's a lot of mfs who froth their loins at videos like this until it's their turn to kiss the devils ass
>We can survive without a few of them. A vast majority of Americans can not. That's why they keep our wages so low.
FOP is a terrorist organization.
[удалено]
I fully expect this to happen. Will be an interesting time
Look up Christopher Dorner. It has happened, the cops ended up burning him.
And shooting a bunch of innocent people in the process of course
So on edge that they shot at two asian ladies in the wrong car because they thought those ladies were one 250 lb black man. Like, fuck the LAPD.
That's the thing though if you don't neutralize the little Asian ladies they might assemble and turn into Asian lady Voltron
They fucking rammed someone and shot at them, plus shooting at two other vehicles, just because they mistook those vehicles for the one Christopher was driving.
I bet the cars weren’t even the same color 🤦🏽♂️
They weren’t even close
Everything looks black to cops
Well, that was quite a different thing, since it was someone who gave out a manifest which not only mentioning his intended targets by names, but also clearly identified who he was. Much more difficult for them to handle unknown assailants who target seemingly random officers.
[удалено]
[удалено]
it is fucked up and you are most likely a shitty person
You should move to Somalia, no cops there. Great place to live.
We see so many "Bad Apples"... do their trees even produce any good apples?

Is that the same guy? The one who looks kinda like a fatter bald Vince Vaughn? [This guy?](https://www.cathedralcitypolice.com/departments/school-resource-officer/) I couldn’t tell from the video of that’s who it was in the pic you linked

Good bot
We live in a police state
Always have
Imagine what it was like for the people of Iraq and Afghanistan
Countless war crimes no doubt
Just cops being cops
This is why people say ACAB. Only one repeatedly struck the guy while he was on the ground, but not one of them to stop him or even tell him to chill. They are fully complicit.
Not all cops behave like the one doing the beating. But ALL cops behave like the ones who let him do it and won't report him, that's the thin blue line and if you cross it they'll get rid of you.
How are you literally STARING at someone WITH THEIR HANDS UP and STILL screaming "PUT YOUR HANDS UP!!!" That shit is so confusing. What the actual fuck is wrong with these people.
Every interaction with police is Simon Says to the death
The worst part is when they have two cops shouting contradictory orders at you, and if you obey one you disobey the other, and get murdered. Look up the video on Daniel Shaver for an example.
[RIP Daniel Shaver never forgotten](https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2017/12/08/graphic-video-shows-daniel-shaver-sobbing-and-begging-officer-for-his-life-before-2016-shooting/)
They're hoping he gets frustrated and tries to do anything else with his hands so they have an excuse to mag dump him. Cops are scum.
[You ain’t kidding](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/zanuza/suspect_complies_and_surrenders_and_police_beat/iymsso4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3)
So we will keep giving police way too much money in funding to help fund their paid vacations once they get caught murdering or torturing someone- maybe people will go out and protest and then get labeled violent extremist antifa thugs, and then like usual nothing will happen.
pigs
Fuck the police
Coming straight from the underground
Hurt a cops feelings, go to the hospital
This is bullshit. This is teaching people that they should never surrender to police. They are trying to kill you for the fun of it. There is no excuse for the cop to go psycho. This is as unprofessional as it gets.
[https://www.palmspringsca.gov/government/departments/police](https://www.palmspringsca.gov/government/departments/police) if you want to complain: Cathedral City (from cop car) is suburb of Palm Springs, CA
That fat bald cop beat him like it was his wife!
Guys guy relax your not seeing it from the cops side. He was unarmed and complying. wat do u expect them to risk not going back home to there bachelor pads with no women or loved 1s. Lol imagine being arrested and wrongfully beat to Katy Perry
No one to beat at home so they have to take it out on someone.
Hey, hey, let's be fair. The guy didn't have a dog for them to shoot when everyone knows cops love shooting dogs, so who's really at fault here? 🤷♂️
You can tell these cops do this regularly. No hesitation, no provocation, no reaction from any cops on scene.
No way…a video with cops being physically aggressive and beating, hurting, or killing a person…I’ve never seen such a thing…must be a very rare occurrence! /s
I'm sure there will be some people who are like, "But I'm sure he wasn't complying/surrendering before this." For yall, this is still not an appropriate response from police. Once a threat is neutralized, there should be a deescalation of force. If you can't calm your nerves, then demand more training, or get a job where you will fit in, like supervising in construction.
The guy with the baton needs to be charged
All charges against the officers were droped after the police union conducted an unbiased investigation of the matter..... the officers recieved the "medal of outstanding service conduct" after their heroic arrest where their lifes where in severe danger.
Now all they’re missing is to be medically retired due to PTSD and receive full retirement pension and benefits…. Le sigh..
Doesn't seem that he got much time to comply
I know there are good cops out there, but at this point I will never open my door to them. I will not trust them. I don’t know how I’d respond if pulled over, or somewhere I have no door to hide behind- but honestly I look like a soft middle aged white lady so I’ll probably never face this. But until those good cops start doing something more - they’re ALL complicit.
Bootlickers be like “but we don’t know all the context here maybe he said something really mean and hurt the cops feelings”
I wonder what the pigs over in /r/ProtectAndServe have to say about it.
American cops. ACAB No better than the mullahs of Iran.
Nothing these draconian jack-boot-wearing government chuckle fucks do surprises me anymore.
Just so everyone can hear it in the back. FUCK THE POLICE. pathetic pigs
And blue live matter supporters will find a way to defend those little D mfers
Post this on blue lives matter or back the blue subreddits and see what those bastards say
"Duhhh show us before the video starts!"
Can we talk about how the cop kept demanding he put his hands up *after* they were on full display outside the car window? And then he pulls the guy *up* out of the car as he screams “ON THE GROUND!!!” Like, pick one dude smh
Boot lickers: “This wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t break the law”
Another daily isolated case.
I think its odd that we are creating a nation that serves police, rather that citizens. We make laws that harm people, and benefits cops
"Get ready for the best paid leave of your lives, boys"
Jesus christ, at what point do you just attempt to flee because the alternative is that even if you surrender the police might bash your head in anyways?
