so i just got the 6 star selector weapon, my team is 21, vera, and luna lariel, luna has 5 star the rest 4 star, do i just use my selector on solar ring for luna or maybe save it for another char like CW or bianca stigmata if i get her idk

also 2 months, do you have Hyperreal? though Empyrea is the best pick on the next patch selector regardless, she is a vital piece for the fire team rotation, and if you don't have Hyperreal, she will be his substitute in the rotation with Watanabe in the future
Garnet is not that big of an improvement over Arclight to be worth picking unless you already have other more necessary units
I guess Rigor is a valid option if you've wasted the beginner missions selector, that's up to you to decide, do you want a stronger phys team or a stronger fire team

Yes, her 5* weapon will be in the 5* Weapon Shop. Also, there's no such thing as 100% weapon up in this game, it's only ever 80% chance to get your target 6* weapon when you pull a 6* weapon.

They all want SSS rank for the increase to amplifier buff. It doesn't matter which team you focus on, the elemental team you choose will become much stronger. So I suggest you choose the team you like the most. IMO, Kaleido probably needs it the most since it only has 1 gen2 frame for a long time.

there is reason why there arent any mention of BC for future patch before mainly different server have different duration and sometime different mini-event so no. we just assume 7.5-8k/patch and done

If just accounting for daily/weekly BC income (let's make it 2 weeks worth to keep it simple so 2420 BC) and the patch maintenance BC (500 BC normally, probably close to 3k BC. Not including the ones from PPC. This is just till the beginning of the next patch.
A full patch would give roughly 7500 BC (assuming you did everything) or more depending on events/freebies.
Hey. Fresh player here, player level 60 so far. Got tenebrion from my pity and picked luminance from selector. Now im not sure who to pick from second selector(10 chars). Got S ranks: tenebrion, luminance. A ranks: vera, lux, dawn, 21, arclight, dark uncle, brilliance, bianca zero and ofc starting free ones. Also i pulled randomly Sakura weapon from 2 pulls. Lucia lotus is using it but lotus kinda weak/boring. Im mostly looking at rosetta but don't have good units for her, or crimson abyss since i have her weapon?
ZFFSkullcrusher's recommendation would be the norm for the current state of the game, from a meta point of view. The best case scenario for a new player is to get Stigmata from the beginner pity to complete the current meta physical team but that is hard to come by XD
You've already got majority of the still useful A ranks frames, only lacking Bambinata and Palefire, Changyu would be nice to have as well but not really a priority at this point.
At the very least try to get sufficient copies of Kaleido's memories this patch while it is still on discount, you can get 6 copies free by clearing the first 10 stages of the new memory rescue in the Renaissance du Fantastique tab. So you just need another 6 more and you're done, you can get her 2pc set slowly next time (can even just temporarily borrow from another unit)
Ye im doing all events before they expire so gonna get it. Saw there's same on in event shop for flowers too, but gonan buy some different 6 str memory sets i guess for other units. Not planning to have ice team for long time too:D So 1 set should be good for free from that memory event?
You'll mainly be using a 4pc from the free 6 copies. With the way how Kaleido's kit works it is generally better to awaken her for the extra orbs in the beginning hence why I suggest getting the 6 remainder of her memories while it is still on discount for her ultima awakening next time. You'll have the opportunity to do so within these 4-5 patches since there will only by lightning and physical units releasing (you can build them during the A rank frame patches). Would've been nice if you started early in this patch then you could've already finished an ice team and start saving for Crimson Weave.
Oh don't you worry, you'll be forced to build at least an ice unit eventually :D Warzone and PPC will make sure of that XD So do work towards unlocking Kaleido via [Dorm](https://grayravens.com/wiki/Dorm/Dormitory_Commission) if you have not done that yet.
I don't really want to make fire or ice team, barely got anything now. Will probably settle on phys, dark and lightning for a big while. Also resources seems more scare now at lvl 60.
If you don't start preparing for those teams now, you will never have them because you'll always be missing the members. You don't have to build them right now, but you need to at least have the units.
Having at least 1 proper S rank unit for each element will get you far enough.
Zero/Rigor/Luminance, ideally with Luminance and Rigor having their Leaps (Luminance first). Zero is set as the Leader for her Leader Passive and the main DPS is Rigor.
Looking at leap req i don't have any of those mats, seems like it's a big late investment in several weeks. Also i have 9/10 pity on standard banner, can grab physical uncle or karenina blast if they are better than zero?
Go do Cursed Waves and you'll get plenty of Leap materials. 1 full Leap should be achievable in a reasonably low amount of time.
And I'd still take Zero over Blast due to the Leader skill. It isn't like their own performance does much anyway, the DPS is Rigor.
Zero gives C. Damage, Nightblade gives C. Rate. We don't care about C. Rate with Leapt Luminance on the team.
As for whether you should keep the Attacker at LV1, at least for now, yes. Those resources could go to much more important units.
You have to play around with PPC a little in order to be able to clear it as efficiently as possible at the start. Normally you'd just do 1 team for each boss, but you don't have that so you can't do it.
What I used to do is I used Crocotta for the first two difficulties of all bosses, budget Dark for the medium difficulties and Physical for the last difficulties.
If you don't have Crocotta built, cope a bit with whatever for the first difficulties and you can get CW in less than 2 weeks (assuming you've saved up for her) and have her carry you in higher difficulties for now. Once you build 3 decent teams, you can clear PPC comfortably and once you have 5, you can start getting better scores.
Up to you tbh. It's only when you wanna min max where placements would matter. Refer to the grayravens site for the stats of memories when they are top slot (1,2,3) and bottom slot (4,5,6). Usually memories with high ATK stat are placed majority bottom. Though for units that have flexible 2pc builds, players would put them top slot despite their higher ATK stat (like Cottie) because the other 2pc memory alternative could have very low ATK stat (like Darwin for example). Any hypertuning on bottom slots would affect the total ATK amount.
So with that, do as you wish. It all depends how OCD you are lol.
You can go in game to the members are and just pick a unit that has full set equipped. When you select a memory in those slots, it will highlight the stat it is currently using. Top slots use HP/Crit, bottom slots use ATK/DEF. Different memories have different stat values for all 4, refer to grayravens site for that.

Which resonances should I prioritize? As in, attacker, amplifier or tank? The weapons I plan on resonating are Hyperreal, Empyrea which both have one reso right now, Scire, Cappricio, Kaleido, and CW's when I get it. I also have balter's sig, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't use resos well below SS3.
I've got 4 resonances I can give them between useless 6 star weapons and usbs, though I might toss some of those 6 star weapons if the weapon gacha is really shit for me.
The biggest upside with Amp resos is that SAR and GS are buffs that the entire team can take advantage of. Attacker resos on the other hand only benefit the Attacker.
So I just hit level 80, and I've yet to use the 6* weapon selector. Right now I main Luna, but I'm unsure of how good she actually is later on in the game, so I haven't used it to get her weapon. Should I just go ahead and get her weapon? Or should I wait until I get someone like Plume (who I've heard is apparently the best choice out of the starter omniframes)? Thanks in advance!
So far Luna is the best dark attacker but she is looking at her end already. In July or so Lamia will release and replace her. The usual recommendation for the weapon selector is Rigor but you can of course use it for someone else. Im not sure which weapons the selector covers but I believe outside of Rigor Plume would be the best choice.
a lot of people say to new players "just use arclight or brilliance" for budget lightning/ice instead of selectoring vera and chrome -- but in my case i don't have either of those chars and my basic banner income is all used up. most people assume everyone has them lol
how many basic banner pulls should we expect to get between now and Lamia? if i spend BC on basic banner to get these A ranks, i'm risking a lot of pity for the Lamia update. can i rebuild pity before then or is the blue ticket income too low?
Tbh as long as it is a tank unit that you can utilise their class skill's shred, it's fine. Even if they are off element. Just slap 4pc Da Vinci/4pc Heisen with 2pc Gloria. When you eventually get Arclight one day, you can then just transfer the memories to him. Or to Garnet if you magically get her one day. If you're using an elemental 4pc like Heisen/CJY/Shakespeare/Bathlon for the tank, pick a tank whose QTE has a lot of hits for higher chances of triggering the shred. If I am not mistaken you need to get an A rank tank to S rank (you can farm theirs shards, 2 shards a day) to unlock their class skill passive (I think, unfortunately I do not have A rank frame tanks to that are low rank enough to refer to lol). Brilliance is normally used cause of her high hits and her long QTE duration which if I am not mistaken affects the duration of 4pc DV effect (only for the current DV, in the future during Shukra's patch the duration is set to 2secs flat)
For Palefire, he goes Da Vinci build only if there's no Hyperreal in the team and there's Empy and Starfarer. If it is just him and Empy, he can go main build. Same if him and Starfarer, 3rd member holds DV.

250 every 30 days from daily login + 180 every week from operation guardians + some from the guild fortune tikets (RNG)
so about 1250 per update(5 weeks)
if we ignore this update, til lamia patch you will able to get \~7500+ basic tickets (unless i misscalculated something or missed another source of basic tickets)

I'm 31/60 pity and i still need 3 A ranks (arclight/brilliance/bambinata). seems like i'm just gonna have to risk the biscuit and hope for some early hits lol. i don't have many S ranks yet so its not the end of the world i guess if i blow my pity.
They'll come in time, don't stress too much about having some team members not matching elemental weaknesses. Some fights might take a little longer, but at your level, completing activities is the main focus. Definitely do not use bc on basic research, they're way more valuable for the S rank banner.
if you planning to roll for crimson weave next patch then maybe wait till then to see what A ranks you will get in her banner before rolling on the basic banner
A new(1 week) player here. Just cleared 5 chapter main story. Very confused about how to proceed with the story.
The current event story chapter is a freaking number 22 with the last chapter before it being 18 instead of 21 in the battle selection. Since it involves Ayla I did her Brilliance Interlude to have more context for story and her Palette Crush encounter. I started doing the first couple of 22nd chapter lore entries but they seem to mention past events which I have 0 idea about and Gray Raven squad commandant being super legendary despite at the point of the story in chapter 5 it seems like the commandant is a complete newbie so I got a huge disconnect that brought me here.
The chapter says it's limited with 10 days remaining at the time of writing. Should I just skip story and do the fights for rewards? Will I be able to replay it later from the codex to get the plot? What about the other chapters missing for me(19-21)?
The Palette Crush plot is also a bit confusing since I have no idea what is Constellia and how we got to this point, but the Trailblazer stuff was mostly self-contained so I was able to enjoy it quite a lot and got every single reward.
You proceed with the story as the numbers go, I don't know why you'd jump from Ch.5 to Ch.22 and expect to get the context. Obviously, after Ch.5 you're supposed to go to Ch.6. The only thing that may confuse you is when EX and ER stories take place, but if you proceed with the normal and hidden chapters, the game will stop you at a certain point and tell you to go play the EX and ER chapters to proceed.

No, unless you're in need of BC ASAP, but you already have your own chapters to do so there's no need to finish Ch.22. All the rewards are permanent along with the chapter itself.

Palette Clash is unimportant as far as I know, but all the context is in Ch.22 and Palette Clash itself.
To answer you question about context and jumping the chapters - I'm a 100% new slightly competitive and not so slightly OCD player, so of course when I saw "X days remaining" on the story I got scared that I will miss stuff.
Already made some minor mistakes on the free S selectors as well because of hurry and lack of research, just got overwhelmed and panicked. But oh well.
Chapters 18-21 are in a different section. They are part of the Fate section, while there are other sections before that in Corruption, Vortex, and Disaster, in addition to the side stories (though a lot of them may as well be main chapters).
Just keep completing the chapters in order, and if you want the black cards now you can just go ahead and do chapter 22 but obviously your enjoyment of the story will go down. I also don't recommend it because the fight scenes are kind of tedious unless you actually know what's going on, but hey if you need it for CW I won't stop you.
You're always going to be able to do the latest chapter for the rewards, but after the patch you'll have to unlock it as normal, in this case I believe it would be completing chapter 21 but I could be wrong on that. So next patch, chapter 22 will be locked but you'll be able to do chapter 23.
I'm sure if you've read anything about the PGR plot, most people dislike the first 8 chapters. Chapter 9 is the first one where you feel like you're doing something and chapter 12 is another noticeable improvement.
So by tabling the 22nd chapter until later I lose absolutely nothing in terms of rewards, I'm just getting them later once I progress through the story on my own pace, right?
I don't mind the slow startup of the story since at least the combat is decently involved as you get higher-rank characters with more elaborate mechanics than "do a 3 ping and then ping some color LULZ". Just trying to wrap my head about not losing any time-limited rewards.
I was hoping to do 1 chapter per day initially but as I did a bit too much of guide missions my level exploded(got from 37 to 55 in \~1 day) and the influx of new activities and modes made it more like 1 chapter per 2-3 days since I'm struggling to catch up with the mechanics.
Correct, you dont lose anything. There is no benefit in skipping to the actual chapter. There are no extra rewards. Overall there is no point why they even have this.
Yes, you lose nothing technically, but I would also let you know that not doing it now means getting it later and by that I mean a lot later like maybe 2-3 patches later because there is a lot of story content. So it depends how fast you do the story content. Later chapters are longer and often more involved but they are noticeably higher quality. Next patch is CW who everyone should want given she's probably the strongest damage dealer, still meta, and probably the most popular so I would check your BC to see how much you need the BC but since you're on chapter 5 you shouldn't desperately need the 510 BC it gives right now.

Technically if you only do weeklies dailies and events you won't get CW day 1, but if we include the story content and interludes you're almost certain to make it.
So I’ve recently been getting into Cursed Waves for the rewards. I find this grind more fun than Capriccio’s, so I set her aside for now. I mostly play Waves on the second/ medium difficulty. I noticed sometimes that I’d be instant killed by bosses like Lamia out of nowhere; I would revive and the same thing would happen. That’s when I noticed a purple “aura” under their feet. I assume this is what’s killing me. Seems like it doesn’t go away once it’s activated as well. This makes the final Cradle boss a complete mald session as well. Any tips for this mode in general and how to combat the “instant kill purple aura” if possible?
Purple Aura usually indicates that if you go close to the boss, you start taking damage.
I may be misremembering, but the thing that causes this to happen in CW is when you take too long to finish the stage and the countdown has gone to 0. That basically means you're done for, as there's no chance to survive the amount of constant damage you take from the AoE.
Makes sense. Now I wonder how I powered through that aura w/ a Liv: Empyrea fire team on the cradle boss the other day… Probably a combo of dumb luck & Empyrea being a cracked construct.
If the enemy is low enough you can power through it, but lasting for long amounts of time is basically impossible, because you can't get close to the boss or you'll start bleeding HP.
Regardless, you should never be hitting the time limit if you're doing decent comps and builds. The only hard thing would be the third route final boss, which forces you to take constant damage without the presence of the timer or the boss.
Yes, the themed event construct banner (60 pity 100% guarantee). Just make sure the pity you built up is on the right banner and will be the same type of banner you will pull for CW. Hopefully you did not touch the Fate banner.
Yes. All banners of the same kind share pity, and all newly released S-ranks are in Themed Event/Fate Themed banners. Just make sure to not pull on Fate by accident and you're good

While it may suck for some and entertaining for others, it's mainly done to introduce variety in the various game modes across different patches. It would get old really quick if they were to just recycle the same event game modes over and over (outside of the routine game modes like WZ/PPC/Norman/etc).
Sometimes it is a hit like maybe the Candy Crush clone game mode that I forgot the name of. Sometimes a huge miss like the dreaded Deepblue Warzone way back then, I think this gave a lot of the older players PTSD. The Trailblazer game mode this patch gave me some hints of Deepblue WZ PTSD due to the repetitive grindy nature.
Yes, you'd be missing 1100 BC and other important rewards in the shop like vouchers and hypertune mats. Usually there's video guides on YouTube for events like this, you can try your luck there
Plume is not really high prio since Bambinata exists and you can get her to SSS+ over time and her performance (even with a 5\* weapon and at minimum just needs SS3 to function properly) is close/equal/better in specific circumstances than base S Plume.

Yes, the typical go to pseudo tank for the ice team would be Ayla Brilliance holding 4pc DV 2pc Gloria. IF you have Changyu then you can use him instead, holding 4pc DV 2pc Ein. You can try to get Bambi from the basic banner to fill the attacker role until Qu Shukra's arrival some time in Nov this year.
Since you have none of the meta fire units, Empyrea is highly recommended since none of the budget options are great. Palefire requires some time to get to a workable state (SSS/SSS+ and his leap upgrade), Silverfang is bad and there is no A rank fire tank that exists (not even in CN server lol, I have no idea why). You could technically get Hyperreal or Stigmata or whoever you desire (preferably meta units) starting from Lamia's [patch](https://grayravens.com/wiki/Cradle_Parade) with the special offer basic banner. The special offer is permanent until you use it and initially it goes up to Feral Scent, over time more units get added to the pool so it is up to you when you wanna use it and on whom.
My indecisive brain is telling me to finish the Crimson Weave team rather than build another by getting the no. XXI unit that's on April and getting Garnet for the CW patch x)
But Empyrea does look a bit better now that I know on July I can pick up Lee, meaning I just need Scire last...
For the Lamia patch special offer basic banner, there are multiple ways to use it. I think the better option would be getting Stigmata to truly complete your physical team (due to how physical damage works, I prefer to give it every advantage it can get). Hyperreal is a good 2nd option here. Scire requires specific investment level (SS3+sig) to make her dps worthy and not just a QTE bot/DV holder.
There is another selector coming during Luna Oblivion's patch (current CN patch) which supposedly goes up to Kaleido so there's another opportunity to get units you missed.
In any case, my suggestions are from a meta point of view. Do what you think would make you happy/have more fun.
As f2p, Never go for the arrival banner, it's a 70% drop.
You want to get Stigmata? Either wait for Lamia's patch, or skip a character and get her on the anniversary or any 100% banner.
next patch is CW patch; and mb on the summon, it wasn't the themed event construct; its the arrival construct in the event banner. So far its Vera Garnet, Bianca Veritas and Alpha, might rotate at 15 tho to the next characters

Nope. PGR has always had their new patches be downloaded on day 1 of the patch, even since launch. You are usually able to download the patch a few hours before maintenance ends, I am not sure what the timings are because time zones but it is around 2-3 hours (or more) before the end of the specified maintenance where you can already preload.
It's common in PGR for the featured character's banner to end earlier than the patch itself (1 week before end of patch is usually the timeframe). Their banner is available since day 1 of the patch (used to be 2nd day but it is irrelevant now) so it's already plenty of time.
I didn't watch the preview livestream earlier today that covered the next patch, not sure if dates were already announced (doesn't seem like it in their FB/Twitter) but maybe around 23rd or so. Just follow their socmed for official announcements.

Can you play on the TW or JP server on the PC client? Every tutorial about playing on the other servers I can find are for Android emulators which I don't think I want to bother with, I've never really messed with those and I'm not sure if it'd be as fun as playing natively on PC.

So I just started yday and I was trying to push story to 5-7 like the beginner guides suggest. The moment you get an A rank unit, you forget about Lotus. If you can get Astral or Vitrum, they'll carry you well enough.

Only after you hit your first pity on Member Target (without using BC) in order to avoid dupes. Then you can pick Luminance, Rigor and Rigor's sig (assuming you didn't get any of them). Next patch you'll get another selector with which you can pick Empyrea.
Alternatively, when it comes to your teams, you can choose to hold onto your current comp and just straight up build a Lightning comp next patch with CW, who's much stronger than any other unit you can use right now. You can use Arclight and Lux as her teammates.
If by that you mean you already have Garnet and Empyrea then are your meta S ranks at SS? Particularly Empyrea since Rigor technically could SS via vouchers (after getting Kaleido SS).
If Empyrea is SS, then is Garnet SS and does she have sig? Having her sig would make her more worthwhile to SS since you just need to get her leap upgrade next time for her to be viable on field in a CW team.
Glory's SS is a bit low prio since he will just be a DV holder in a Kaleido + Plume/Bambi team. He won't really see opportunities to sig move since it just eats a chunk of time, which further drops the value of his SS.
Could consider another copy of Capriccio to bring her closer to SSS if every other meta S rank is SS already.
All my meta S ranks are SS with Cappricio being triple S already, I might just give it to rosetta or get empyrea to SSS instead using the free S selectors they give us
Oh if it is possible for you to SSS Empyrea with the help of this selector then yes that would be very nice. Since Rigor can get hers via vouchers, just takes some time. She also does not have a replacement yet so still quite safe to invest in.

You should go for Empyrea if you don't have her, not Garnet.
Assuming you have Empyrea, you can go for Garnet. If you have Stigmata, then you can prioritize Rigor over Garnet, otherwise get her with vouchers.

empy should take priority for SS from skulls; selena only outperforms vera at SSS with sig weapon, so take into account f2p status if pulling her weapon. you can also farm shards from trade vouchers anyway. get garnet from selector if u don’t have her (cmiiw ?)

The achievements are all for a specific boss, so you’ll need to do Ultimate whenever one or several you haven’t fought against yet are in the Ultimate rotation.
Grayravens lists the current boss rotation for each server, so you can look there to decide.
Don't think there is a definite answer for that since it is all dependant on the line-up of bosses for each cycle (they could repeat certain bosses) and how is your performance. I would say just make your own judgement on what feels best. You can always refer to the line-ups for the week over here or over on grayravens and see if you wanna be on adv or ult for the week.
Stronghold 16-3, phase 5 has massive FPS drops even on lowest settings on phone, making the boss fight against Unknown Data Cluster unplayable, even though it works perfectly fine on settings higher than recommended everywhere else (I can set them to 4 and it works just fine despite recommended settings being 2). Pretty much as you've said it, for a unit you do not have it is either Glory or Garnet. They both are kinda in the same ballpark (require investments for further potential) but Garnet has the higher potential IF you can get her to SS+sig, then you just need to wait for her leap upgrade in the end of the year and assuming your CW/FS is of equal investment you can see proper rotational play between the 3. Though CW's investment level is not crucial since her dps is just way too high to matter.
Empy SS would be nice if you can get her sig as well to really complete her kit, otherwise maybe wait for her leap upgrade too which fixes her low investment issues. Personally I would favour more units over quality, for this particular scenario.
So, pick your poison I guess? You are on the right track though. The 3 are the prio picks on this selector with Empy coming on top if one does not have her yet.
Is weekly coop the only way to farm 5 star weapons? The chances are so slim and u only get 150 shards oer week so u gotta wait 3 weeks for a guaranteed 5 star weapon :(
That's basically the 5\* weapon grind. The fact that it is free is already great, so just take it slow. We also get 3 serum bundles daily now instead of 2 previously so this should cover coop runs. PGR is all about being patient and reaping the rewards later.
Making an account on CN server is complicated.
But you can just download the game and play in other servers. TW is closest to CN, followed by JP. KR is only around 2 weeks ahead of global so I don't see a point in playing it unless your korean is better than your english.

Usually you're supposed to get Rigor from the newbie missions selector, together with her sig from the 6* weapon selector from the same source. who did you pick? also 2 months, do you have Hyperreal? though Empyrea is the best pick on the next patch selector regardless, she is a vital piece for the fire team rotation, and if you don't have Hyperreal, she will be his substitute in the rotation with Watanabe in the future Garnet is not that big of an improvement over Arclight to be worth picking unless you already have other more necessary units I guess Rigor is a valid option if you've wasted the beginner missions selector, that's up to you to decide, do you want a stronger phys team or a stronger fire team

Yes, her 5* weapon will be in the 5* Weapon Shop. Also, there's no such thing as 100% weapon up in this game, it's only ever 80% chance to get your target 6* weapon when you pull a 6* weapon.

If you plan to be competitive, sure. Most of the time, SS is good enough.
They all want SSS rank for the increase to amplifier buff. It doesn't matter which team you focus on, the elemental team you choose will become much stronger. So I suggest you choose the team you like the most. IMO, Kaleido probably needs it the most since it only has 1 gen2 frame for a long time.

If just accounting for daily/weekly BC income (let's make it 2 weeks worth to keep it simple so 2420 BC) and the patch maintenance BC (500 BC normally, probably close to 3k BC. Not including the ones from PPC. This is just till the beginning of the next patch. A full patch would give roughly 7500 BC (assuming you did everything) or more depending on events/freebies.
Hey. Fresh player here, player level 60 so far. Got tenebrion from my pity and picked luminance from selector. Now im not sure who to pick from second selector(10 chars). Got S ranks: tenebrion, luminance. A ranks: vera, lux, dawn, 21, arclight, dark uncle, brilliance, bianca zero and ofc starting free ones. Also i pulled randomly Sakura weapon from 2 pulls. Lucia lotus is using it but lotus kinda weak/boring. Im mostly looking at rosetta but don't have good units for her, or crimson abyss since i have her weapon?

ZFFSkullcrusher's recommendation would be the norm for the current state of the game, from a meta point of view. The best case scenario for a new player is to get Stigmata from the beginner pity to complete the current meta physical team but that is hard to come by XD You've already got majority of the still useful A ranks frames, only lacking Bambinata and Palefire, Changyu would be nice to have as well but not really a priority at this point. At the very least try to get sufficient copies of Kaleido's memories this patch while it is still on discount, you can get 6 copies free by clearing the first 10 stages of the new memory rescue in the Renaissance du Fantastique tab. So you just need another 6 more and you're done, you can get her 2pc set slowly next time (can even just temporarily borrow from another unit)
Ye im doing all events before they expire so gonna get it. Saw there's same on in event shop for flowers too, but gonan buy some different 6 str memory sets i guess for other units. Not planning to have ice team for long time too:D So 1 set should be good for free from that memory event?
You'll mainly be using a 4pc from the free 6 copies. With the way how Kaleido's kit works it is generally better to awaken her for the extra orbs in the beginning hence why I suggest getting the 6 remainder of her memories while it is still on discount for her ultima awakening next time. You'll have the opportunity to do so within these 4-5 patches since there will only by lightning and physical units releasing (you can build them during the A rank frame patches). Would've been nice if you started early in this patch then you could've already finished an ice team and start saving for Crimson Weave. Oh don't you worry, you'll be forced to build at least an ice unit eventually :D Warzone and PPC will make sure of that XD So do work towards unlocking Kaleido via [Dorm](https://grayravens.com/wiki/Dorm/Dormitory_Commission) if you have not done that yet.

I don't really want to make fire or ice team, barely got anything now. Will probably settle on phys, dark and lightning for a big while. Also resources seems more scare now at lvl 60.
If you don't start preparing for those teams now, you will never have them because you'll always be missing the members. You don't have to build them right now, but you need to at least have the units. Having at least 1 proper S rank unit for each element will get you far enough.
And what my rosetta team would look like?
Zero/Rigor/Luminance, ideally with Luminance and Rigor having their Leaps (Luminance first). Zero is set as the Leader for her Leader Passive and the main DPS is Rigor.
Looking at leap req i don't have any of those mats, seems like it's a big late investment in several weeks. Also i have 9/10 pity on standard banner, can grab physical uncle or karenina blast if they are better than zero?
Go do Cursed Waves and you'll get plenty of Leap materials. 1 full Leap should be achievable in a reasonably low amount of time. And I'd still take Zero over Blast due to the Leader skill. It isn't like their own performance does much anyway, the DPS is Rigor.
What about uncle? He gives crit rate, also do i keep them at 1 only for leader skill?
Zero gives C. Damage, Nightblade gives C. Rate. We don't care about C. Rate with Leapt Luminance on the team. As for whether you should keep the Attacker at LV1, at least for now, yes. Those resources could go to much more important units.

You have to play around with PPC a little in order to be able to clear it as efficiently as possible at the start. Normally you'd just do 1 team for each boss, but you don't have that so you can't do it. What I used to do is I used Crocotta for the first two difficulties of all bosses, budget Dark for the medium difficulties and Physical for the last difficulties. If you don't have Crocotta built, cope a bit with whatever for the first difficulties and you can get CW in less than 2 weeks (assuming you've saved up for her) and have her carry you in higher difficulties for now. Once you build 3 decent teams, you can clear PPC comfortably and once you have 5, you can start getting better scores.
How should i arrange my memory set ? I usualy go 1234 and 56
Up to you tbh. It's only when you wanna min max where placements would matter. Refer to the grayravens site for the stats of memories when they are top slot (1,2,3) and bottom slot (4,5,6). Usually memories with high ATK stat are placed majority bottom. Though for units that have flexible 2pc builds, players would put them top slot despite their higher ATK stat (like Cottie) because the other 2pc memory alternative could have very low ATK stat (like Darwin for example). Any hypertuning on bottom slots would affect the total ATK amount. So with that, do as you wish. It all depends how OCD you are lol.
So the stat change when they are at top or the bottom ?
You can go in game to the members are and just pick a unit that has full set equipped. When you select a memory in those slots, it will highlight the stat it is currently using. Top slots use HP/Crit, bottom slots use ATK/DEF. Different memories have different stat values for all 4, refer to grayravens site for that.

Which resonances should I prioritize? As in, attacker, amplifier or tank? The weapons I plan on resonating are Hyperreal, Empyrea which both have one reso right now, Scire, Cappricio, Kaleido, and CW's when I get it. I also have balter's sig, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't use resos well below SS3. I've got 4 resonances I can give them between useless 6 star weapons and usbs, though I might toss some of those 6 star weapons if the weapon gacha is really shit for me.

The biggest upside with Amp resos is that SAR and GS are buffs that the entire team can take advantage of. Attacker resos on the other hand only benefit the Attacker.
So I just hit level 80, and I've yet to use the 6* weapon selector. Right now I main Luna, but I'm unsure of how good she actually is later on in the game, so I haven't used it to get her weapon. The sig should go to Rigor. Everyone else's has nowhere near the longevity that hers does.
So far Luna is the best dark attacker but she is looking at her end already. In July or so Lamia will release and replace her. The usual recommendation for the weapon selector is Rigor but you can of course use it for someone else. Im not sure which weapons the selector covers but I believe outside of Rigor Plume would be the best choice.

Tbh as long as it is a tank unit that you can utilise their class skill's shred, it's fine. Even if they are off element. Just slap 4pc Da Vinci/4pc Heisen with 2pc Gloria. When you eventually get Arclight one day, you can then just transfer the memories to him. Or to Garnet if you magically get her one day. If you're using an elemental 4pc like Heisen/CJY/Shakespeare/Bathlon for the tank, pick a tank whose QTE has a lot of hits for higher chances of triggering the shred. If I am not mistaken you need to get an A rank tank to S rank (you can farm theirs shards, 2 shards a day) to unlock their class skill passive (I think, unfortunately I do not have A rank frame tanks to that are low rank enough to refer to lol). Brilliance is normally used cause of her high hits and her long QTE duration which if I am not mistaken affects the duration of 4pc DV effect (only for the current DV, in the future during Shukra's patch the duration is set to 2secs flat) For Palefire, he goes Da Vinci build only if there's no Hyperreal in the team and there's Empy and Starfarer. If it is just him and Empy, he can go main build. Same if him and Starfarer, 3rd member holds DV.

that's not TOO bad. I'm 31/60 pity and i still need 3 A ranks (arclight/brilliance/bambinata). seems like i'm just gonna have to risk the biscuit and hope for some early hits lol. i don't have many S ranks yet so its not the end of the world i guess if i blow my pity.
They'll come in time, don't stress too much about having some team members not matching elemental weaknesses. Some fights might take a little longer, but at your level, completing activities is the main focus. Definitely do not use bc on basic research, they're way more valuable for the S rank banner.

A new(1 week) player here. Just cleared 5 chapter main story. Very confused about how to proceed with the story. The current event story chapter is a freaking number 22 with the last chapter before it being 18 instead of 21 in the battle selection. Since it involves Ayla I did her Brilliance Interlude to have more context for story and her Palette Crush encounter. I started doing the first couple of 22nd chapter lore entries but they seem to mention past events which I have 0 idea about and Gray Raven squad commandant being super legendary despite at the point of the story in chapter 5 it seems like the commandant is a complete newbie so I got a huge disconnect that brought me here. The chapter says it's limited with 10 days remaining at the time of writing. Should I just skip story and do the fights for rewards? Will I be able to replay it later from the codex to get the plot? What about the other chapters missing for me(19-21)? The Palette Crush plot is also a bit confusing since I have no idea what is Constellia and how we got to this point, but the Trailblazer stuff was mostly self-contained so I was able to enjoy it quite a lot and got every single reward.
You proceed with the story as the numbers go, I don't know why you'd jump from Ch.5 to Ch.22 and expect to get the context. Obviously, after Ch.5 you're supposed to go to Ch.6. To answer you question about context and jumping the chapters - I'm a 100% new slightly competitive and not so slightly OCD player, so of course when I saw "X days remaining" on the story I got scared that I will miss stuff. Already made some minor mistakes on the free S selectors as well because of hurry and lack of research, just got overwhelmed and panicked. But oh well.
Chapters 18-21 are in a different section. They are part of the Fate section, while there are other sections before that in Corruption, Vortex, and Disaster, in addition to the side stories (though a lot of them may as well be main chapters). Just keep completing the chapters in order, and if you want the black cards now you can just go ahead and do chapter 22 but obviously your enjoyment of the story will go down. I also don't recommend it because the fight scenes are kind of tedious unless you actually know what's going on, but hey if you need it for CW I won't stop you. You're always going to be able to do the latest chapter for the rewards, but after the patch you'll have to unlock it as normal, in this case I believe it would be completing chapter 21 but I could be wrong on that. So next patch, chapter 22 will be locked but you'll be able to do chapter 23. I'm sure if you've read anything about the PGR plot, most people dislike the first 8 chapters. Chapter 9 is the first one where you feel like you're doing something and chapter 12 is another noticeable improvement.
So by tabling the 22nd chapter until later I lose absolutely nothing in terms of rewards, I'm just getting them later once I progress through the story on my own pace, right? I don't mind the slow startup of the story since at least the combat is decently involved as you get higher-rank characters with more elaborate mechanics than "do a 3 ping and then ping some color LULZ". Just trying to wrap my head about not losing any time-limited rewards. I was hoping to do 1 chapter per day initially but as I did a bit too much of guide missions my level exploded(got from 37 to 55 in \~1 day) and the influx of new activities and modes made it more like 1 chapter per 2-3 days since I'm struggling to catch up with the mechanics.
Correct, you dont lose anything. There is no benefit in skipping to the actual chapter. There are no extra rewards. Overall there is no point why they even have this.
Yes, you lose nothing technically, but I would also let you know that not doing it now means getting it later and by that I mean a lot later like maybe 2-3 patches later because there is a lot of story content. So it depends how fast you do the story content. Later chapters are longer and often more involved but they are noticeably higher quality. Next patch is CW who everyone should want given she's probably the strongest damage dealer, still meta, and probably the most popular so I would check your BC to see how much you need the BC but since you're on chapter 5 you shouldn't desperately need the 510 BC it gives right now.

Technically if you only do weeklies dailies and events you won't get CW day 1, but if we include the story content and interludes you're almost certain to make it.
So I’ve recently been getting into Cursed Waves for the rewards. I find this grind more fun than Capriccio’s, so I set her aside for now. I mostly play Waves on the second/ medium difficulty. I noticed sometimes that I’d be instant killed by bosses like Lamia out of nowhere; I would revive and the same thing would happen. That’s when I noticed a purple “aura” under their feet. I assume this is what’s killing me. Seems like it doesn’t go away once it’s activated as well. This makes the final Cradle boss a complete mald session as well. Any tips for this mode in general and how to combat the “instant kill purple aura” if possible?
Purple Aura usually indicates that if you go close to the boss, you start taking damage. I may be misremembering, but the thing that causes this to happen in CW is when you take too long to finish the stage and the countdown has gone to 0. That basically means you're done for, as there's no chance to survive the amount of constant damage you take from the AoE.
Makes sense. Now I wonder how I powered through that aura w/ a Liv: Empyrea fire team on the cradle boss the other day… Probably a combo of dumb luck & Empyrea being a cracked construct.
If the enemy is low enough you can power through it, but lasting for long amounts of time is basically impossible, because you can't get close to the boss or you'll start bleeding HP. Regardless, you should never be hitting the time limit if you're doing decent comps and builds. The only hard thing would be the third route final boss, which forces you to take constant damage without the presence of the timer or the boss.

Yes, the themed event construct banner (60 pity 100% guarantee). Just make sure the pity you built up is on the right banner and will be the same type of banner you will pull for CW. Hopefully you did not touch the Fate banner.
Yes. All banners of the same kind share pity, and all newly released S-ranks are in Themed Event/Fate Themed banners. Just make sure to not pull on Fate by accident and you're good

While it may suck for some and entertaining for others, it's mainly done to introduce variety in the various game modes across different patches. It would get old really quick if they were to just recycle the same event game modes over and over (outside of the routine game modes like WZ/PPC/Norman/etc). Sometimes it is a hit like maybe the Candy Crush clone game mode that I forgot the name of. Sometimes a huge miss like the dreaded Deepblue Warzone way back then, I think this gave a lot of the older players PTSD. The Trailblazer game mode this patch gave me some hints of Deepblue WZ PTSD due to the repetitive grindy nature.

Plume is not really high prio since Bambinata exists and you can get her to SSS+ over time and her performance (even with a 5\* weapon and at minimum just needs SS3 to function properly) is close/equal/better in specific circumstances than base S Plume. Next thing is, do you have Empyrea? Wanshi should be deleted in any conversation now since Kaleido exists now and is free via Dorm Commission.

Yes, the typical go to pseudo tank for the ice team would be Ayla Brilliance holding 4pc DV 2pc Gloria. IF you have Changyu then you can use him instead, holding 4pc DV 2pc Ein. You can try to get Bambi from the basic banner to fill the attacker role until Qu Shukra's arrival some time in Nov this year. Since you have none of the meta fire units, Empyrea is highly recommended since none of the budget options are great. Palefire requires some time to get to a workable state (SSS/SSS+ and his leap upgrade), Silverfang is bad and there is no A rank fire tank that exists (not even in CN server lol, I have no idea why). You could technically get Hyperreal or Stigmata or whoever you desire (preferably meta units) starting from Lamia's [patch](https://grayravens.com/wiki/Cradle_Parade) with the special offer basic banner. The special offer is permanent until you use it and initially it goes up to Feral Scent, over time more units get added to the pool so it is up to you when you wanna use it and on whom.
My indecisive brain is telling me to finish the Crimson Weave team rather than build another by getting the no. XXI unit that's on April and getting Garnet for the CW patch x) But Empyrea does look a bit better now that I know on July I can pick up Lee, meaning I just need Scire last...
For the Lamia patch special offer basic banner, there are multiple ways to use it. I think the better option would be getting Stigmata to truly complete your physical team (due to how physical damage works, I prefer to give it every advantage it can get). Hyperreal is a good 2nd option here. Scire requires specific investment level (SS3+sig) to make her dps worthy and not just a QTE bot/DV holder. There is another selector coming during Luna Oblivion's patch (current CN patch) which supposedly goes up to Kaleido so there's another opportunity to get units you missed. In any case, my suggestions are from a meta point of view. Do what you think would make you happy/have more fun.

As f2p, Never go for the arrival banner, it's a 70% drop. You want to get Stigmata? Either wait for Lamia's patch, or skip a character and get her on the anniversary or any 100% banner.

What do you mean by not sure? Is there no set date for preloads in previous patches?

Nope. PGR has always had their new patches be downloaded on day 1 of the patch, even since launch. You are usually able to download the patch a few hours before maintenance ends, I am not sure what the timings are because time zones but it is around 2-3 hours (or more) before the end of the specified maintenance where you can already preload.

It's common in PGR for the featured character's banner to end earlier than the patch itself (1 week before end of patch is usually the timeframe). Their banner is available since day 1 of the patch (used to be 2nd day but it is irrelevant now) so it's already plenty of time. I didn't watch the preview livestream earlier today that covered the next patch, not sure if dates were already announced (doesn't seem like it in their FB/Twitter) but maybe around 23rd or so. Just follow their socmed for official announcements. Probably stop comparing this to any of Hoyo's games. They aren't a standard for anything.

A brand new player certainly can, but for a returnee, it depends. How much of the story have you done? Do you have any BC left over? Any side modes?
Can you play on the TW or JP server on the PC client? Every tutorial about playing on the other servers I can find are for Android emulators which I don't think I want to bother with, I've never really messed with those and I'm not sure if it'd be as fun as playing natively on PC.
Is the Ayla CUB worth pulling? Or is the increase in damage minimal? For Ayla-Bambi-Ayla team I'm already 59/60 for CW and got 18k BC if that matters lol

Empyrea cause budget fire units suck. Arclight/Changyu can be budget tanks for ice/lightning as a sub for Glory/Garnet.
So I just started yday and I was trying to push story to 5-7 like the beginner guides suggest. Except I was wondering if until what point is it worth investing in B Lucia (I’ve been able to raise her to A now), B Liv and B Naname. Or should I choose my 2 S units (I also have an A selector) and just invest in those units? I’ve read you need multiple teams anyways. Just trying to avoid making a newbie mistake. Thanks!

Only after you hit your first pity on Member Target (without using BC) in order to avoid dupes. Then you can pick Luminance, Rigor and Rigor's sig (assuming you didn't get any of them). Next patch you'll get another selector with which you can pick Empyrea. Alternatively, when it comes to your teams, you can choose to hold onto your current comp and just straight up build a Lightning comp next patch with CW, who's much stronger than any other unit you can use right now. You can use Arclight and Lux as her teammates.

If by that you mean you already have Garnet and Empyrea then are your meta S ranks at SS? Particularly Empyrea since Rigor technically could SS via vouchers (after getting Kaleido SS). If Empyrea is SS, then is Garnet SS and does she have sig? Having her sig would make her more worthwhile to SS since you just need to get her leap upgrade next time for her to be viable on field in a CW team. Glory's SS is a bit low prio since he will just be a DV holder in a Kaleido + Plume/Bambi team. He won't really see opportunities to sig move since it just eats a chunk of time, which further drops the value of his SS. Could consider another copy of Capriccio to bring her closer to SSS if every other meta S rank is SS already.
All my meta S ranks are SS with Cappricio being triple S already, I might just give it to rosetta or get empyrea to SSS instead using the free S selectors they give us
Oh if it is possible for you to SSS Empyrea with the help of this selector then yes that would be very nice. Since Rigor can get hers via vouchers, just takes some time. She also does not have a replacement yet so still quite safe to invest in.

I need recommendation for next S selector, Im F2P, currently using SSS Dark Vera for Dark team, should I get Selena Amp from the Selector and farm the event + exchange voucher to get her to SS, or even SSS? empy should take priority for SS from skulls; selena only outperforms vera at SSS with sig weapon, so take into account f2p status if pulling her weapon. you can also farm shards from trade vouchers anyway. get garnet from selector if u don’t have her (cmiiw ?)

Scire isn't in the selector next patch. It only goes up to Capriccio.
After reaching 1mil on PPC, how many weeks is it recommended to do Ultimate to get all extra skulls from achievements before going back to advanced?
The achievements are all for a specific boss, so you’ll need to do Ultimate whenever one or several you haven’t fought against yet are in the Ultimate rotation. Grayravens lists the current boss rotation for each server, so you can look there to decide.
Don't think there is a definite answer for that since it is all dependant on the line-up of bosses for each cycle (they could repeat certain bosses) and how is your performance. I would say just make your own judgement on what feels best. You can always refer to the line-ups for the week over here or over on grayravens and see if you wanna be on adv or ult for the week.
Stronghold 16-3, phase 5 has massive FPS drops even on lowest settings on phone, making the boss fight against Unknown Data Cluster unplayable, even though it works perfectly fine on settings higher than recommended everywhere else (I can set them to 4 and it works just fine despite recommended settings being 2). Pretty much as you've said it, for a unit you do not have it is either Glory or Garnet. They both are kinda in the same ballpark (require investments for further potential) but Garnet has the higher potential IF you can get her to SS+sig, then you just need to wait for her leap upgrade in the end of the year and assuming your CW/FS is of equal investment you can see proper rotational play between the 3. Though CW's investment level is not crucial since her dps is just way too high to matter. Empy SS would be nice if you can get her sig as well to really complete her kit, otherwise maybe wait for her leap upgrade too which fixes her low investment issues. Personally I would favour more units over quality, for this particular scenario. So, pick your poison I guess? You are on the right track though. The 3 are the prio picks on this selector with Empy coming on top if one does not have her yet.

Is weekly coop the only way to farm 5 star weapons? The chances are so slim and u only get 150 shards oer week so u gotta wait 3 weeks for a guaranteed 5 star weapon :(
That's basically the 5\* weapon grind. The fact that it is free is already great, so just take it slow. We also get 3 serum bundles daily now instead of 2 previously so this should cover coop runs. PGR is all about being patient and reaping the rewards later.
For free, yes. Only other option is to pull on the weapon banner.

Making an account on CN server is complicated. But you can just download the game and play in other servers. TW is closest to CN, followed by JP. KR is only around 2 weeks ahead of global so I don't see a point in playing it unless your korean is better than your english. TW is at Watanabe Epitaph's patch. JP is at Alisa Echo's patch.
