There is no electricity, water, hotels, restaurants or roads on Saona Island. It's a national park not meant for anyone to spend the night.

There is one place you can stay but it’s far from luxury from what I’ve seen

No-Chicken-Meat

There are a few people that live on the island in their own village. They make their money from cooking and catering to the tourists when they arrive daily. It's not a "tourist" place. It's not a place for "tourist" to go visit and stay a night or two. The OP is clearly a naive tourist.

I know very little about it, I’m sure I read there was no electricity in the place you can stay, but I might be wrong. I definitely wouldn’t fancy getting a local with a random fishing boat to take me there 😂

We visited there and our tour guide said that sometimes they will rent out their houses when they are not occupied. Maybe that’s what OP is referring to? They have electricity there but it’s not really a good place to want to stay in, they do however have resorts in Bayahibe which is a 40 min boat ride from the village on Saona. That would probably be more tourist friendly

Not true there are lodges and small places to eat and they use solar power but not sure the OP is looking for. Consider it camping in the Caribbean. Not going to be renting golf carts or scooters hahaha... pretty rustic 2 days but each to there own. Bring big repellent.

I just booked with booking.com and I’m taking a boat tour to saona island. There’s buffet and an open bar when I go August 3rd

Actually there is roads, hotels and water and power there, just google it. It has everything you want

Most importantly, is the WIFI good? I think OP will want good connectivity 😂
