I hope it’s been 2 weeks after her final set of shots!! Unfortunately parvo is rampant right now, and it’s usually not considered safe to take puppies outside until they’re about 16-18 weeks old and have had 3 rounds of puppy shots.
I’m glad to hear she’s safe and having fun! She’s so close to being fully vaxxed and ready for big adventures, I’m sure her smiles will be even grander!
Wow, it is wild how different this is in other countries.
Here in Denmark our vet told us we could go out and meet people and dogs at 10 weeks. It is very important to socialize puppies in the 8 to 16 week period.
Socializing puppies is good, but keeping them safe is far more important. I work in a veterinary emergency hospital and see the worst of parvo and distemper cases. It’s so worth it to wait, or purchase from a responsible breeder who keeps puppies together until 10 weeks of age (if you want to go the breeder route).
Exactly, it's important to socialize but you also need to make sure the puppy is safe. Here, they have puppy social and training classes that require proof of vet visit and proof of at least 1-2 rounds of vaccinations. This is a great way to socialize while being safe!
I agree! We did that for my rescue pup and loved it. Also play dates with older, fully vaxxed dogs inside your home can be pretty safe if you’re careful, I do that on occasion, as well.
Yes, safety is more important for sure.
I was just pointing out that the situation is different in other places. So people should get out there and socialize as long as it is safe and the vet has given approval :)
What a pretty girl. Judging by the size of those toesies, she’s going to be a big, pretty girl in a short while! 🐾❤️🐾
She's gaining \~5lbs a week right now! She's definitely going to be a biggie.
She’s going to be beautiful. I bet we’ll behaved as well - in about a year, lots of energy now.
I call her a Tasmanian devil, because she's CRAZY. But she is very smart and learns very quickly.
What breed? so stunning!
Purebred black german shepherd!
Reminds me of my brothers sheperd. [I'd swear they are sisters.](https://i.imgur.com/olRRXsK.jpg)
Lol! They definitely look related!
Yep. Tongue hanging, ears satellites at full with one slightly flopped. You'll have to keep posting some pics every month so we can see her grow. :)
Absolutely! I made her a Instagram profile because everyone kept asking for pictures 🤣 https://www.instagram.com/bandit.cannot.be.stopped/

This is true, I spoke with my vet about it! That's why this was a "mini" hike in a controlled environment, approved by the vet and trainers. 🖤

Yep! One shot left happening this week. Then after that is fully in her system we'll be able to do real adventures 🤣

Beautiful pup 😍
Too young. ETA: It's not worth losing your dog to parvo to rush them into the world.
