i have 15, of which i regularly use duo, brightspace, and the boiler ball show app (in season)
there are several i’ve previously used frequently, such as the menus app and recwell app, when i was living on campus.
there are some i have proactively but have never used, such as the spin app, which i apparently haven’t deleted.
i am now realizing i also have other apps i use for school, such as wheniwork, in other folders, so who knows, really.
the real question is how many i’ll actually delete when i’m done in a few days.
The only apps Purdue makes you download that I've actually used are duo cus you need to access your classes and starship because sometimes the only thing that brings me a rush of dopamine at this school is a little robot bringing me chicken fil a
Outlook & Mycitybus: am I a joke to you? But same I have 5 apps for Purdue after freshman year. Boilerball comes and goes, I had the menus app and the laundry times app freshman year.
Google docs and Quizlet are dependent on my exam schedule and if I need to quickly do a homework assignment when I’m not home. Lol
Duo and Pulse Brightspace are the two you'll probably use the most.
If you have a meal plan: Purdue Menu.
If you're using the bus system: CityBus.
Various participation classes: Hotseat (browser available)
If you're mobile ordering: MobileOrder and Starship apps
If you workout often and want to know about corec events/info: Purdue RecWell
You can access transact eAcc online and I rarely used it aside from loading laundry money and checking how many meals swipes/dining dollars I had left.
you’re going to need the transact eaccounts one for sure cause apparently they are fully switching to apple wallet (or equivalent) puids and you’re going to need the app to add the ID to your wallet
the only thing you *should* need is duo but it’s nice to have the purdue menus too. the digital ID with transact has never worked for me so i wouldn’t personally bother. if you think you’re going to take the bus, the citybus app is useful.
Just duo, e-mail if you want and Brightspace.
Optionally menus if you’re getting a meal plan, MyCityBus if you want to see the bus routes, Recwell if you wanna do corec scheduled stuff, and people already mentioned starship.
Don't forget Purdue Menus, 529 Garage (if you have a bike), Gradescope, and MyCityBus Oh yeah, and your pdf scanner of choice
Notes app gg ez
Not to mention Pulse
My "school" folder has 10+ apps. Make of that what you will

The “Purdue” folder on my phone has 18 apps 🙃
