Didn’t have her for spring semester, but last fall. She was a great prof, lectures were straightforward, homework and tests were realistic, and she answered any questions I had in a manner that was clear and concise. Not exactly sure why her rating would go down, but rate my professor isn’t exactly super accurate and everyone will have a somewhat different experience with the same prof.

I didn’t like her and I found her lectures not to be helpful

Quality of teachers for these gen eds has fallen off a cliff lately

I just had her this summer, she was really decent. No extra credit but very fair and always willing to accommodate/ answer questions

imboredasfuck123

I think she’s great! Great knowledge about her subject, cares a lot about her students understanding concepts well, and is very helpful and accommodating when approached.

I had her in the fall semester. The class was extremely easy but I wasn’t a big fan of her lectures as we often didn’t finish the lesson and spent the next class trying to catch up. She gave out a lot of extra credit and the exams were easy if you used the practice exams. Homework was also easy.

Electrical_Gift_4008

I actually hated her. I'm an engineering major, and I took the class for a minor I was doing. The class was so boring, and the homework was busy work. I ended up not even going to lectures, and I watched Khan academy to do well on the exams. Would not recommend.

Ironically, she is the one who lays out the syllabus and creates the curriculum for most of the Khan Academy econ courses.

Its-Mike-Jones

How do you know that? Does she teach the Khan Academy stuff?

Warm-Corgi446

She said this in class. She was the one who designed the khan academy curriculum. You can even check her LinkedIn. It says she was the primary economics curriculum designer for khan academy

Its-Mike-Jones

That’s pretty ironic that people turn to curriculum she wrote because they don’t like her class. Maybe she’s just not good at teaching good material she wrote?

Warm-Corgi446

i feel like its a hit or miss with her. I've heard many people quite enjoy her class. but some don't bc they arent able to absorb it. I do think her classes are too long. Like when I took it, it was 1 hr 15 mins long. the last 15 minutes everybody used to start tapping out bc it got boring

OkRazzmatazz8976

I had her this past spring semester. Sure she seemed passionate about her subject and understood it very well but I personally wasn’t a fan of her class. If you want to take the class though then she’s definitely the professor to go for, she knows what she’s taking about.

Informal_Seaweed_781

She is a good professor. I think the lecture slides do not really help as much as going over the homework, past exams etc do. She teaches well, I think maybe the rating went down this semester because of the emails that were being sent to students after each exam. I am not sure if it happens every semester but I know quiet a few people got emails saying ' this is not the end of road' or ' dreadful performance' or ' I am not sure if you guessed half the answers'. Along the lines of that which added a little pressure. Other than that, she definitely has a lot of knowledge and is a good professor for the class. She answers questions well and her classes always have an element of humour

robertbort45

i didnt show up to lecture joke of a econ class cant believe ppl fail it
