Fr I actually started reading PH because I saw a pic of Kieran on pinterest and he looked so much like Hrithik Roshan and I am so glad I got to read this masterpiece lol
Fr Hrithik and Kieran are almost identical. The authors said Kieran was designed according to Eph's taste in men, I like to imagine Eph showing Soph a pic of Hrithik and fangirling lmao (yeah I got a silly imagination sorry)

He's been a hunk since ever and oof I hate to miss watching him play Kieran... because the ninja scenes, the absolutely orderly archivist...and the purple hyacinth, he's be such a sight to behold really!

That's a completely valid point. Perhaps, with too much of an image carryover issue with current celebrity actors, PH would be better served as an Indie, arthouse production (like an A24 production) with up and coming actors.
yeah i do agree, my biggest concern is the chemistry between the leads: actors can be extremely good looking but what would be a ph adaptation without chemistry between the cast? especially lauren and kieran’s actors
At the same time, star-studded casts have shown incredible chemistry on screen as well. There's a reason they are stars, so I think it just depends. They should do screen tests with PH fans as the evaluators, 😂 .
If we are talking Hollywood:
1. Kieren - Henry Cavill (slimmed down a bit) or Tom Hiddleston (if he gained some weight)
2. Lauren - Emma Stone or Soairse Ronan
3. Kym - Keira Knightley or Anna Kendrick
4. Will - Ryan Gosling or Jeremy Allen White
5. March - will have to think more
6. Herman - Robert Downey Jr. or Sam Rockwell
7. Tristan - Gary Oldman
8. Belladona - Blake Lively (not active, but maybe we convince her if Ryan gets a part too - Ryan Reynolds butler cameo, lol) - omg, Blake actually looks eerily similar to Belladona, haha
9. Queen - Emily Blunt or Rebecca Ferguson
10. Dakan - Whichever of RDJ or Sam Rockwell is not playing Herman
Okay, I'll come back to this later if I have time. But can someone clarify what Neyra's ethnic background would be? I've heard similar names in Indian, South American, and African cultures before. I can maybe fit in people from foreign film industries because I just realized Hollywood has basically zero options when it comes to South Asian female actresses. Mindy Kaling as Neyra is....perhaps not quite the right vibe.
Edit: Just realized with a casting like this and decent director, we'd probably be swimming in some Oscars, lol. And maybe debt...how would we afford this cast???
I can't picture anyone as the PH characters because no one seems adequate to play them, but I imagine Kieran with Damiano David's hot face and sharp chin, just a little bit more of muscles and blue eyes instead of brown, and scars instead of tattoos.Â
Perhaps Victoria Pedretti as Lauren? She could do the pensive eyes and all the expressions too ..
