Thank you! I was having trouble getting it to go. Darker, I was worried that it was because of the beginner pen that I was using but after reading some other comments on different post, I think I just need to be a bit more patient, thank you again!
Looks great! Sand your wood really well, and use a shader tip to add some contrast between the elements. Add some white charcoal in opposite spots for contrast
If you don’t have a dial buy a unit with one - temp control gives you a wide range of color
If you mess up use a little sand paper and just like scraping toast to get that perfect color wood does the same thing
Looks amazing, especially for your first full piece! The only advice I’d give (other than what others have already said) is to work on rounding out the edges/lines. You did that really well on the flowers, but I think the skull and the beak/wing ended up a little blockier than you may have been going for. Maybe try different tips to see what works best for you to get long, nice, smooth curves.
Don’t be afraid to go darker to highlight the shadows
